Menrva Posted August 14 Posted August 14 We'll see if I ever manage to finish it one day, too big of a terrain project by covering the entire continent of Usea from the Ace Combat universe (according to my calculations it should be in full scale). Grey areas are not part of Usean countries, hence they are grey in the planning map. 11
Flanker562 Posted August 14 Posted August 14 I don't think it will be unpopular, as personally I see that map as a different from the real world. And while Ace Combat gets a little frisky with the airplanes, I'm sure that a campaign or something will get skinners something to do, given the liveries that AC has for some of its jets. 2

daddyairplanes Posted Sunday at 12:27 AM Posted Sunday at 12:27 AM part 2 on this weekend. the first is a revised model by Sundowner (huge thanks again!), with new smoke rocketpods by ravenclaw_007 (also a million thank you's) and some skin and ini work by yours truly this second one is just a skin and needs Sundowner's model from his 68-73 release that covers the USAF, USMC, and USN. this skin just removes serial numbers from skin and gives about 20 options via decals instead. 6 3
daddyairplanes Posted Sunday at 12:40 AM Posted Sunday at 12:40 AM well, to keep in weight limits maybe a B57
Wrench Posted Sunday at 05:27 AM Posted Sunday at 05:27 AM If you squint at this REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY hard, it just might pass for USS Ranger (CV-4). Oddly, VS-41 Vindicators are on deck!! (Rising Sun Shokaku reskinned. guns converted to 'merican) (also because, it's not like we're ever going to get a real one) 6
daddyairplanes Posted Sunday at 07:05 PM Posted Sunday at 07:05 PM Part 3, and done for the summer might get some more out there before Christmas, but not counting on RL to be that nice to me 4 3

Wrench Posted Sunday at 07:29 PM Posted Sunday at 07:29 PM yes, all the guns are working!! I've already tested against incoming Nells! I was QUITE surprised, too. Then again, I did add the NA statements and such. 2
Wrench Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Well, I just made an astonishing discovery ... and I must apologize to the 2 dozen or so WW2 players. I just discovered that our MTO terrains, in particular "North Africa" (western desert, Egypt, Lybia) and Tunisia (post TORCH) are NOT in the SF2 terrain downloads. They are in the 1stGen terrain downloads, and have never been converted for SF2. Going into my archived MTO mod folder, I find that I was working NAfrica in 2017, and Tunisia either in 2018 or 2023 (going by Window "date modified" column). I do know that bot maps had been retiled to use the IsraalME tiles, to match the WW2 Palestine (IME based). Again, like Dueces' "Green Not Desert", many stock desert farm/city tile remain. So, shit! After finishing some of the birds now in the hangar, I'll be stopping work on them, and the PAW1 and WW2 Darwin terrains and see if I can remember where I was in the rebuilds. OTH, the PTO Philippines, New Gueina, and Solomons (v3) are all been convered to SF2 a long time ago. again, apologies!! 4
