Originally, the plan was (in 2019!!!) to try and salvage RussoUK's Lightning Fmk6. However, it turns out it NOT a mk 6, and has too many issues (HUGE shadow ropes) to continue (Yes, another found in the archives)

So -- use the stock RAFGray skin with what decals I could salvage, plus new code letters, LV fin flash, etc. BUT --- the images I'm using show the birds in overall Barley Grey (which TK's ain't). So, 2 things --

I don't suppose anyone has the template for the stock 3W Lightning? and

Does anyone know of a site with 'by squadron assigned' for RAF serial numbers?? I been looking, but can find anything. At worst, as seen below, just use 26 of the stock 3W serials, and this skin

A very nice surprise dropped into my inbox the other day, from Nyghtfall. This apparently was one of Veltro's birds that never got finished. Nyghtfall has some really nice skins for it, and requested that I try and bring it home. His template is so good!!

So, here you go, another nice airliner for Eye Candy (tm), and will be flyable. There are 5 skins right now, this is just an example.

Well, some time ago, I was working with GKABS on A-6A/B/C, which came out quite nicely. And having some extra time then....I  put some things together and made this...

 

EA-6A. I think I was posting this somewhere already. Would be crap if this were never to be finished...

Anyway. Apart from a few, very small things to be finished. Most of it is done. Still, ALQ containers need to be done, but this is not so important at the moment. I am stopping by here to ask if someone is interested in working on this in the area of skins, decals, sorting out serial numbers, service years within units, etc. Those who know my mods and have ever downloaded something from me know how I make mods (so I might be demanding in this area). Templates are ready, so skins and decals will be the easy part. It is always about research. No general skins, and it would be great to make a Nam-era-dedicated mod and another mod focusing on Navy /USMC deployments.

 

Anyway. It does not have to happen now. A general survey to see if someone is interested in cooperation and to give an opportunity to do some modding. (Although I know you old farts modders have quite a lot of things to do, but I have mostly in mind new users who hesitate to get involved in modding.)
