I guess Stary youre going to have to make one for it.

Or just release it as an AI. Dont waste a model because it lacks a pit. That's just silly.

what Dave says, I know every wants top flyable plane but sometime due to RL you have to release "as is" or abandon the project completely, as in my view keeping it on HDD for the future equals to

Yeah, on the plus side the cockpit is not super complicated it seems. I am unfortunately swamped in projects and RL commitments have really cut down on my modding time lately...  Perhaps we could make this some sort of community effort tho? Modder x builds some instruments, modder y build the controls... et cetera.. I have long thought about load sharing would probably be very good since it can be quite paralyzing when you need to build everything from scratch..

With the slowing down of the community, any new planes will be a boost. So if anyone is sitting on something becauses its missing a pit but the model is done, release it.

Such a beautiful model would deserve a release, dave is right. The germany map will get a lot of attention with the upcoming update from rends. We need this plane with it :)

Still Soulfreak if you can release it without a pit then do so. Makes no sense anymore just holding things back anymore.

and I'm at just the opposite ...

partly completed aircraft, that HAVE pits!!

(P-47C*, 6 Beaufighters)

*albeit one of Stary's generic pits

I don´t want it to release without a pit.

If you had spend so many hours of research, collecting references and working on the paints as I did, you would understand.

Anyway i got the Y cockpit source from Enrico

But, it is quite different (well ... the Y has 2 engines ) ... the only common part is the collimator.

just out of curiosity, are you all adding sidewinder pylon on the outer wings?

i think i read somewhere that the F-5E can also carry two extra AIM-9's next to the ones on the tips...

would be a nice addition for air-to-air

None of the 70's/80's F-5E's had AIM-9 launcher capability on the outboard stations, according to the F-5E weapons manual.

I think the F-20 was the first variant who had them.

Several recent upgrades by foreign F-5E users added the outboard launchers, e.g. Brazil and several others.
