+Soulfreak Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 The Y Cockpit would been an option, if the max file was there. But the source file is sadly not available. Quote
+Dave Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I guess Stary youre going to have to make one for it. Or just release it as an AI. Dont waste a model because it lacks a pit. That's just silly. 4 Quote
+Stary Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 what Dave says, I know every wants top flyable plane but sometime due to RL you have to release "as is" or abandon the project completely, as in my view keeping it on HDD for the future equals to Quote
Centurion-1 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Yeah, on the plus side the cockpit is not super complicated it seems. I am unfortunately swamped in projects and RL commitments have really cut down on my modding time lately... Perhaps we could make this some sort of community effort tho? Modder x builds some instruments, modder y build the controls... et cetera.. I have long thought about load sharing would probably be very good since it can be quite paralyzing when you need to build everything from scratch.. Quote
+Stary Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 mabe we could ask ErikGen for the original Max file of his older cockpit? Quote
+Dave Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 With the slowing down of the community, any new planes will be a boost. So if anyone is sitting on something becauses its missing a pit but the model is done, release it. 3 Quote
+Soulfreak Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 There will come a lot of new planes. waiting for an awnser from Enrico. will let you know. Quote
stuntman Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Such a beautiful model would deserve a release, dave is right. The germany map will get a lot of attention with the upcoming update from rends. We need this plane with it :) Quote
+Dave Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Still Soulfreak if you can release it without a pit then do so. Makes no sense anymore just holding things back anymore. Quote
Wrench Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 and I'm at just the opposite ... partly completed aircraft, that HAVE pits!! (P-47C*, 6 Beaufighters) *albeit one of Stary's generic pits Quote
+Soulfreak Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I don´t want it to release without a pit. If you had spend so many hours of research, collecting references and working on the paints as I did, you would understand. Anyway i got the Y cockpit source from Enrico But, it is quite different (well ... the Y has 2 engines ) ... the only common part is the collimator. Quote
+Stary Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 that's better than starting from zero I'd say Quote
+Soulfreak Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) Yes I think so to Stary, but who is willing to do it? Edited January 30, 2014 by Soulfreak Quote
+ravenclaw_007 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 ähem.... , how fast would it be needed ??? Quote
+Soulfreak Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 ähem.... , how fast would it be needed ??? Not in the next 2 weeks. Why? Quote
+Stary Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I took it Volker but in my case it won't be rady this weekend or next one Quote
+ravenclaw_007 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Thanks Stary but Carlo could you send me the file anyway please Quote
slick cowboy Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 just out of curiosity, are you all adding sidewinder pylon on the outer wings? i think i read somewhere that the F-5E can also carry two extra AIM-9's next to the ones on the tips... would be a nice addition for air-to-air Quote
+Crusader Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 None of the 70's/80's F-5E's had AIM-9 launcher capability on the outboard stations, according to the F-5E weapons manual. I think the F-20 was the first variant who had them. Several recent upgrades by foreign F-5E users added the outboard launchers, e.g. Brazil and several others. Quote
+sophocles Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Sure would be nice to have sidewinders on the outboard wing pylons! Quote
+denissoliveira Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 any help on the f-5 Brazilians only talk to me. Quote
