23d Wing Pope AFB 1994 In the 1990s, the USAF experimented with composite wings that would have everything needed within a single unit for deployment into a regional fight. The 23 Wing was formed in 1992 to bring about this vision, as applied to direct support of US Army forces. By 1994, 4 squadrons were ready at Pope AFB NC to support the US Army's 82d ABN DIV at neighboring Fort Bragg. The 2d and 41st Airlift Squadrons flying the C-130E Hercules, the 74th Fighter Squadron flying the F-16C/D Block 40 Vipers, and the 75th Fighter Squadron flying the A-10A Warthog. As is tradition for the 23d Wing, which traces its lineage to the Flying Tigers of World War 2, every aircraft in the wing sported a sharks mouth. This mod brings together everything needed to get the 23d Wing into the fight. Complete aircraft (including a newly revamped F-16D Block 40 from ravenclaw007), period specific weapons, sounds and effects. Included Viper Team F-16C Block 40 and 75th FS skin ravenclaw007/Viper Team F-16D Block 40 and 75th FS skin Dels C-130E_SKE with 2d ALS, 41st ALS Grey and 23d Wing Euro 1 skins Various period specific weapons (actively in use 1994-1996) Installation unzip folder * drop into mod folder of your choice * allow overwrites Known Issues The C-130 and its weapons are primarlily eye candy. There are unfortuneatly no paratroop drop missions in SF2, and so if you want to drop say 1/325 INF onto a drop zone, you will need to select a recon mission and punch those partarooper out by hand I have been having issues getting the LAPES Sheridan tank to create a "crater" after dropping. it is still included for the visuals of puching a tank out the back of a Herk, and because there was still an Airborne Armor Bn at Bragg in 1994. But at this time the tank will disappear on contact with the ground Credits Viper Team all F-16 models included ravenclaw_007 tweeked F-16D model and templates (C and D) Dels C-130E_SKE model killerbee331 original weapons pack that many armaments are drawn from here malibu43 2_LAU-88 mod to carry 4 Maverick rather than 6 XRAY base skin for 75th FS 94 yakarov79 LAPES M551 Sheridan and tech support with said tank daddyairplanes skins, tga work, much research, various ini edits, new TW inspired loading screens test team NightshadeP/R, allenjb42 and special thanks to William Godwin (callsign Radio), 23d Wing Historian at Moody AFB I hope you enjoy this mod. After 12 years total at Ft Bragg (all but 4 of them seeing the Hogs overhead near everyday) this one was a bit more personal than some other mods daddyairplanes aka Kevin Unruh 4 July 2022 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX UPDATE 31 DEC 20220 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX After further research on other Hog units, and closer examination of the TW model, i have included Spectre8750's A-10A_93 model with updated numbers list. I also changed several serials after determining that they were at other bases in 1995. The deduction I used to find the C-130 serials didnt work as well for the Hogs. But it is fixed and I even discovered two Tiger Shark Hogs that were still in Euro 1 camoflage at the time. The A-10A_93 features two skins for the bulk of the gray birds and the two green ones. ************************************************************* This is freeware; it CANNOT be distributed unless permissions are granted by myself. The United Arab Emirates choose the F-16 as its next strike fighter after lessons learned from the 1991 Gulf War In which its Mirage F.1s were unable to fly in due to IFF considerations due to the Iraqi F.1's. The Emirati government wanted an F-16 variant that was more advanced than the Block 50/52 standard and funded the development of the F-16E/F Block 60, and are internally the most advanced F-16's in the world and incorporate 5th generation features such as an internal FLIR/Laser targeting system negating the need for an external pod. More can be seen here F-16_Fighting_Falcon_variants. The Block 60's included use the standard sound files found in all other F-16 packs the only instillation should be putting the aircraft and pilots in the correct folders. Thank you to combat ace and its community for showing me how to skin and build Ini's Thank you to specter870 for creating the original Data INI's for the F-16I. This is my first aircraft mod if any issues feel free to put a message on my profile or change something yourself! Happy Hunting!

SF2 - EF-2000 Eurofighter Typhoon "BETA" Pack This aircraft is tested on Fully Merged SF2E/I/NA/V on July 2013 patch. The aircraft is to be use under the COMBATACE rules "ONLY" DO NOT VIOLATE THE RULE OR PERFORM PIRACY! First, I want to thank Bongodriever for his "superb" re-work of his EF-2000 for SF2. Despite being a "Beta" it is an exceptional aircraft. Lets hope he will finish the work someday? Also, without his work... we would of all have to wait for another talented individual to make this aircraft. Thank you very much Craig. I want to take this opportunity to dedicate this Aircraft to the following individuals: "Spinners" - I want to thank you for helping me to get started in becoming a Modder at Combatace. Even though time have past, I have not forgotten about your kindness, support, and patience in teaching me the basics. I also want to thank... "Fastcargo" "Wrench" and "Sundowner" for their early support as well. Of course, since the early days to the present. I had the pleasure of being helped by so many other great and talented people... You know who you are... Thank you all for sharing your knowledge and many other things... Now, since this is a BETA... Pretty much all deficiencies are well known. So do not make uncessary post or comments if you find an issue. Please take the time to read the "knowledge base section for SF2" to install this aircraft, as well as, to answer many questions you might have? Yes, the knowledge base section has wealth of information that answers most of your concerns or issues. Make the effort to learn it, DO NOT BE LAZY. Also, make the effort to use the search function for your concerns or issues. You will be surprised that many of topic issues have already been discussed. Lastly, the file is BIG... I did do my due diligence to make sure all is correct. But like anything in life, there is a chance that I might have miss something or made an error? Feel free to make the post if you find something that is not correct? This file contain all of the air wings and squadrons from all of the current EF-2000 user and soon to be user of the EF-2000. Instead of listing them (which is very long), look at the files and you will know who they are... With the exception of the RAF 43(F) Sqn and the 2(AC) Special markings, all of the squadrons are current or were in existence. - 43(F) squadron was suppose to be the next Typhoon squadron this year, but that was changed when 2(AC) squadron was selected instead. - 2(AC) special marking was something I just added. Note #1: Until Ravenclaw finish the KEPD-350, the GAF and the Eda will not show a stand-off weapon under the loadout for "strike". I use the KEPD_350 as a reminder for future changes on the loadout. Note #2: ONly RAF is using the swing-Role for the EF-2000. Most other nations are using the EF-2000 for Air Defense only, but are starting to use the ground attach capability. So, the loadout is not the most accurate for the various ground roles. You can change it to what ever you like. Note #3: Pirate cam will appear when you use the AA mode. With targeting pod loaded, you have to select the AG mode to use the targeting pod cam. All work are done by me with the exception of the credits given to the people below: Bongodriver - Aircraft/Seat/.LODs and most of the .INIs (with tweaks by me) ChrisBV - Pilots (I slightly modified the skin) Florian/JAT - Pilot Ravenclaw - Weapons (I modified one of the weapon to make the GBU-48B) FastCargo - Fakepilot Eagle114th - Wingtip vortex (I modified both the skakey/straight vortex effects, also can use both at the same time) Spillone104 - Engine sounds If I have forgotten anyone for their work, my apologies, and your work is being recognized and credited. Thank you for reading. I hope you will enjoy flying this aircraft. Cheers! August 09, 2015 Ace888

Although the Tu-16 began as a high-altitude, free-fall bomber, in the mid-1950s it was equipped to carry early Soviet cruise missiles. The Tu-16KS (Badger-B) version could carry AS-1 missiles over a combat radius of 1,800 km (1,125 mi). These very large weapons were aerodynamically similar to the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 fighter, fitted with either a nuclear or conventional warhead, had a range of about 140 km (90 mi). They were intended for use primarily against US Navy aircraft carriers and other large surface ships. Subsequent Tu-16s were converted to carry later, more advanced missiles, while their designations changed several times. A versatile design, the Tu-16 was built in numerous specialized variants for reconnaissance, maritime surveillance, electronic intelligence gathering (ELINT), and electronic warfare (ECM). A total of 1,507 aircraft was constructed in three plants in the Soviet Union, in 1954–1962. They were exported to Egypt, Iraq and Indonesia. The de Havilland DH 112 Venom was a British postwar single-engined jet aircraft developed from the de Havilland Vampire. It served with the Royal Air Force as a single-seat fighter-bomber and two-seat night fighter. The Venom was an interim between the first generation of British jet fighters – straight-wing aircraft powered by centrifugal flow engines such as the Gloster Meteor and the Vampire and later swept wing, axial flow-engined designs such as the Hawker Hunter and de Havilland Sea Vixen. The Venom was successfully exported, and saw service with Iraq, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland and Venezuela. Delivery of the Tu-16 to China began in 1958, and the Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation (XAC) signed a license production agreement with the USSR to build the type in the late 1950s. The first Chinese Tu-16, or "H-6" as it was designated in Chinese service, flew in 1959. Production was performed by the plant at Xian, with at least 150 built into the 1990s. China is estimated to currently operate around 120 of the aircraft.
