Hello everyone! It have been very fun experimenting with the accessibility option for AAMs for Soviet aircraft. I have been wondering 'what would have Soviet done if they add firing cue visually to the ASP-4N" of MiG-17PM (Also known as MiG-17FPU)? This is practical and simple solution in Soviet style: Cyrillic for "Radar lock on target" and "Ready to fire / In Range", here is note: Here is screenshot of MiG-19PFU with optional accessibility feature: NOTE: In missile only aircraft, the fixed and gyro sight are fixed on reflector. ПР (Пуск Разрешен) came with the MiG-29, Su-27 fighter families. The earlier radars had IIRC a lamp that gave the signal "lock on" and "ready to fire". Edit: The following photo is taken from an east german book. Point 3 in the diagram is the "green lamp", i mentioned. The same book said, that in the Radar screen of the MiG-21 the signal Пуск was readable, when the target was in weapon range.

Hello everyone! It have been a while since I have posted; It have been quite busy week and I have been spending a lot of time researching on the MiG-9s / 15s / 17s/ 19s, as well Chinese J-5s, J-6s, Q-5s, and both Czech and Poland built MiG-15s / 17s / 19s. I want to talk about the MiG-9s, 15s, and 17s. I have completed the work on the Wings over Korea MiG-15 / 15bis, as well add-on MiG-9 using Stray's excellent MiG-9 cockpit and crafted new PBP-1A gunsight for it. For MiG-17, please keep in mind, my information may be incorrect. Most of manual and research I do, especially with great help from great friend (Thank you Stavka5 for great help with the manuals and eBooks!), while using various AI to translate the manuals and eBooks written in Russian and summarizing them in English. One of very interesting thing about the gunsight known as ASP-4N, used by MIG-1F / 7P / PF / PM (PFU), and according to the manual, it is known as ASP-3NM. From the past experience seeing various of aircraft, avionics, and equipment names, it does not surprise me that this gunsight, in my theory, have multi name as ASP-3NM / ASP-4N. However, to avoid the confusion, I will refer it as ASP-4N. Anyway, here is the table based on research: The ASP-3N gunsight have been updated after going through the flight manuals, then I realized that the diamond part of the gunsight, seems like it came from ASP-1N. Therefore the diamond from ASP-1N is used for ASP-3N and ASP-4N: Next, here is screenshot of MiG-9 "Fargo" MiG-17A "Fresco-A" and MiG-17F "Fresco-C" MiG-17PF "Fresco-D" (EARLY / PR-1 Izumrud) MiG-17PF "Fresco-D" (RP-5 Izumrud) NOTE: In SF2, SF2, we can not move around the vview, we are stuck in one spot while padding around. Therefore, for workaround, the hoods is moved a bit forward, for the better view of the radar and instruments. The MiG-19s are being worked on at this moment. Eagle114th
