  2. In many ways, it very nightmarish. I've found 4 and 5 versions of the SAME upload, over and over again! You'd think the Mod Maker would just "Upload New Version" (as there really IS a button for that), instead of keep re-posting upgrades. If there's more than 2 versions by the same author, I'd love to either combine them, or delete the oldest versions.

  5. don't EVEN get me started on the topography!!! Haiphong on the wrong side of the estuary, Hanoi on both sides of the river (and MANY other cites as such), Central Highlands FULLY covered in jungles (?? really???) Cam Rhan Bay, Saigon, the Mekong and the delta to South China Sea, to say nothing of the rivers in the North ... it's fucking pathetic!!! I DO understand he was under budgetary and time constraints, but ... it took less than 3 hours to make the needed "city only on one side of the river" tiles, AND transitions. Lets see what we can do, together, to fix this nightmare. As long as I can get the railroads in, they're fun to bomb.

  13. I did that for the CVEs that have been here at CA in 2012. I know it's not for RS, but you MIGHT want to check our downloads section for things you can use. I should know . . .
  14. VERY long term ... don't expect anything anytime soon ... months away!! Only above the DMZ is getting reworked, but a LOT of retiling with customs all over the place.

    SF2 A-1E Skyraider Upgrade Pack for YAP-RW 1/9/2026 What we have here is an upgrade pack for the YAP-RW A-1E "Skyraider" attack aircraft. This full aircraft mod is being released with kind permission from the YAP-RW Team, and I extend special thanks to Andrea "Ralph" Richini for his help, support and approval. This package includes the original 3 skins, with new decals for the 22nd & 602nd skin, some data ini modifications (mostly adding armor), a new engine sound is also included. Be forewarned! You will be adding the new sound to your game/mod folder's Soundlist.ini. Full instructions are in the "To Install" below. All weapons are stock, in-game items. All manual animations (canopies) remain in their stock YAP keystrokes. The 3 skins are: 1st ACS (no changes made to this skin, as it needed AS IS for the Bernie Fisher missions.) 22nd SOS (TS tail code) 602 ACS (TT tail code) All markings are decals, with the 22nd having 20 and 602nd having 24 100% historically accurate serial numbers. As stated above, the 1st ACS has no changes to it's decals. Randomization is TRUE for all, and I hope it won't mess up the Fisher missions. Those of the squadrons used here, and listed in the game's stock Squadron List ini, use my Patent Pending "Fake SqTail" decal to activate their displayed name on the Loadout Screen (ie: all 3 units) If installing this to well, any mod folder including YAP-RW, you'll see on the aircraft selection drop-down menu: A-1E Skyraider (Y) "Y", of course is for YAP, differentiating it from any others (?). Be advised, I did change the folder name and this displayed name. So, it MAY effect things if used in a YAP-RW mods folder. But that's not guaranteed! In a normal SF2:V mods folder, will have no effect . If you HAVE YAP, maybe want to backup your original for Safety's Sake (tm). Or not, if not wanting to edit any msn files that need an existing name; your call!! As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Please read the Notes section for other useless information, and (hopefully) full credits. Please also take note of changes in the Standard Disclaimer in the "Legal BS" section at the bottom.   19. It's not the vehicle --- have you looked at (or into) the terrain you're using??? Does it have NavalMap=TRUE in it's ini? Does it have the correct _water.bmp with the properly colored "CV Zones"?? Otherwise, single missions with carriers ain't gonna happen.
  20. Now, all we need are the templates for the YAP T-28... I wonder if Ralph even has them??
  21. But back to the question, for the Original Poster (tm) Have you EVER played a Flight Sim before???? Granted, SF2 lacks some things -- like truly instructional missions, and A Users Manual (tm). But it's not that hard. Is there a more SPECIFIC questions that should be asked??
