  1. What are your hardware specs, and what OS are you using? Update: Ironroad, I believe that you're experiencing a "playback switchology" issue, and not a rendering issue. Click on the gearwheel icon on the Youtube window, and use it to set your playback resolution to the highest level allowed (720p or 1080p in the case of the video on the bottom), and see if that helps.
  2. Nice! Though if at all possible, I would remove the rivets from the skin textures, and add them only to bump-maps (if bump maps are available, that is). Remember, rivets would be painted over in real life, so they would not appear to contrast against the aircraft's outer skin that way.
  3. You mean add another 8 GB specifically for SF2 (of any stripe)? No, as SF2 is a 32-bit application, so it can only utilize 2 GB of allocated RAM. 8 GB is good enough for gaming and most computing, unless you're also using that system to encode video, remaster audio, etc. Watch the following video.
  4. I currently use Bluestacks, but intend to switch to Genymotion, as I hate dealing with the pervasive ads on Bluestacks.

    Fury

One thing that no one here mentioned so far, is that they used an actual Tiger 1 in the film, not some silly stand-in, like dressed-up M-48s ( as they did in Patton) or a tarted-up T34 (Kelly's Heros). A much more realistic ending (given the date), would have been for the crew to have encountered an entire platoon of Tigers as they sat disabled at the crossroads. As this seemingly overwhelming force drew within range, the crew of the Fury prepared for what was undoubtedly going to be their last battle. Then they notice that the turrets of their opponents were reversed. The war had ended, thus sparing all.
  6. pcpilot, I have it on my Android, and, I also play it on my desktop. Here's how: http://techawakening.org/how-to-play-android-games-on-pc/615/
  7. That was just a "test" effect on the Photon torpedoes. I've decided on a more traditional effect, one that's in keeping with the model's TOS origins.

    Fury

Just saw it this evening. It was as intense and graphic as any flick that I've seen to date, so one may want to think twice before taking young children to see it. The body count at the end was typical Hollywood, but all in all, I found it an entertaining experience. BTW, I went to an AMC theatre that featured electric recliners, ala Lazy-Boy, with so much room between rows that one could easily squeeze by even with the foot-rests of the adjacent seats full extended. It was a treat. My favorite scene:
  10. The 77 year-old mystery may soon be solved, as authorities announced that they have "with a high degree of certainty" found wreckage from Amelia Earhart's Lockheed Electra, on Nikumororo atoll. http://news.discovery.com/history/us-history/aluminum-fragment-appears-to-belong-to-earharts-plane-141028.htm http://news.discovery.com/history/us-history/amelia-earhart-resting-place.htm
  11. All ships that have a usable flight deck should have a separate flight deck LOD file stated in its data file. Sometimes you can cheat by using that statement alone (with no physical lod).
  12. I have X-Wing v Tie Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance. The latter had better graphics and models, but a weaker story line and missions. And, I recall picking up the first title on "discount" for $60.00 back in December of 1997! By the time I picked up XWA, it was in the bargain-bin at the local CompUSA for like $10.00 (Summer of 2000 maybe?).
  13. One thing; The CAF would most likely have gone back to using the "stars and bars" insignia of the pre-revolutionary days, as seen on these Thunderbolts:
  14. A "fakepilot" is only visible from the cockpit if the node that it is attached to has "view from cockpit=true" declared under its entry in the aircraft's data.ini file.
  15. Wow, Geezer, that's amazing work.
  16. Gee, I dunno...it's only been referred to as Star Trek TOS for a short while....like for the past 27 years or so
  17. Klingons in TOS did not have cloaking devices. The only possible evidence that they did, was after they shared technology with the Romulans in a season 3 episode, "The Enterprise Incident".
  18. Control, The bogey appears to be surrounded by some sort of protective barrier. Our missiles and cannon rounds cannot penetrate it, and are detonating harmlessly against it!

    NVIDIA Turf

Does this mean that we also have to employ Nvidia landscapers?
  20. Really, does that mean we should stop flying the 90% or so of the aircraft models out there, because they're "obsolete"? You do realize that this series does not simulate modern avionics or even some of the capabilities of aircraft introduced after 1982, right? It was conceived to emulate aircraft from say, 1947 to 1982. And by the way, it's Su-33, not "SU-33".
  21. Cool, enjoy your visit. Too bad you don't have enough time on this visit to visit the USS Intrepid air & space museum. That's a definite must see for your next trip.
