  1. Happy B'day
  2. Ah, sorry, loadouts would be limited to whatever the stock aircraft carries (no sidewinders or gunpods). Enemy air units could be timed to intercept you at sett points, but any deviation in timing could result in them not being there when you arrive.
  3. I can create it for you. You would simply need your install to be patched up to date.
  4. An anomaly? That's what the gear Oleos are supposed to do when they experience a compression load, such as the aforementioned deck rising underneath them, or when they hit the tarmac upon landing.
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. Squid As I recall, Streakeagle patiently explained to you why it is impractical (read that as prohibitively expensive) to add any sort of playback/recorder to this series, as per TK. To refresh your memory: http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB3w/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8585&p=53779&hilit=+mission+recorder+#p53779 Given a choice between adding better avionics (even if it's nothing more than threat-assignable RWR tones) and a mission-recorder, I would vote for the avionics improvements every time. And I suspect that the vast majority of Thirdwire fans would agree with me.
  7. It probably installed a custom soundlist.ini into your flight folder. If you already had one, it's been overwritten. If you weren't using one, simply renaming the mod's soundlist.ini file (to soundlist2.ini) will restore your old sounds, but the ones that came with that mod will no longer work. You can always edit the soundlist.ini to allow both your old sounds, and the new ones.
  8. That's a pre-08 model, so FM needs to be completely redone to SF2 levels. That being the case, one may as well wait to see if there are any changes brought on by SF2NA that might have an impact on either the player's, or the AI's FM.

    A must see

Crusader sent me the link to this video.... http://youtu.be/6ntDYjS0Y3w?hd=1
  10. There's one already out there: http://combatace.com/files/file/11855-sfg1wmspeechrar/
  11. Muesli, Are you by chance using a third-party aircraftobject.ini file? If so, and judging by the fact that all your aircraft may be effected, that may be your problem.
  12. AIM-9L IR 0.5/18 2.5 87 287/13/64 +-67 deg look, All-asp. Ar c. InSb. 9.4 kg warhead, laser fuze w/ 10 m detonation distance. FM-AM conical scan. +-27 deg field of regard before launch. 32G lateral acceleration. IOC 1978 Source: http://www.x-plane.org/home/urf/aviation/text/missiles/aam.html
  13. If I send this to Dave, will the site go offline for a few days? MIM-14 Nike with a W31 MOD 2 warhead (20 KT), makes for quite a fly-swatter
  14. Rename the Huddata.ini, and the game engine will revert to using the original one.
  15. Someone asked this very question about a year ago at the Developer's site. If memory serves me right, the answer was that there was no windowed mode in SF2.
  16. You did not offend anyone, it's an inside joke.
  17. For Enrico.....Nikes over the Baltic
  18. Microsoft Direct Play, as used in SFP1, is incompatible with DirectX10. So, ThirdWire dropped support for multiplayer, as it would have required expensive recoding.
  19. In a merged install, all the terrain sets are available from any given title. In other words, one can fly in Vietnam or Israel from within SF2, simply by selecting the terrain. And the AI will be limited to aircraft and weapons belonging to the nations listed within that terrain's nations list (in a system generated mission or campaign).
  20. By lag, I assume that you mean reduced frame rates. Providing us with your system specs would help, particularly processor and video adapter info.
  21. Good News: It's an easy fix, simply open up the gundata.ini for the offending weapon, and adjust this parameter "Reliability=" set it to 90 or better. Bad News: You have to perform the edit on a gun by gun basis
  22. To enable it to operate in both modes (launch rail and VLS), I'd give it a 5-degree FOV and a 75-90 degree gimbel limit. The wide gimbel limit ensures that the missile "sees" its target when launched in VLS mode. That's what I meant when I referred to tweaking values to overcome "game-engine limitations" What most do is to go overboard on acceleration rates and engine burn durations.
