  1. The dark camo of the SuperMystere B2 of the french 12th fighter squadron EC.2/12 at Savigny in 1977
  2. In your map the polish invasion is not included, which started the polish soviet war in 1920-21. Kiev and Minsk were taken by the polish forces, which were beaten by the Red Army and pushed back to Warsaw. Then the wonder on the Wisla happend and the polish army was victorious. This polish victory had 3 reasons. First they had a capable commander, second british officers supported the work of the polish staff, and last, but not least, the soviet politcommisar Tschugashvili was believing, that he was the most smart military on field, ignored the orders of his commanders and caused the defeat of the southern front of the soviets. Tschugashvili was also known as Stalin, and this georgian bastard never forgot the defeat on the banks on the river Wisla. In 1940 he got his revenge and sent thousands of polish officers into the death at Katyn. The path of one of my relatives ended there in the woods of Katyn.

  4. Caliber is not all. The gun of the FT had a length of 21 calibres. The gun had so a lenght of 78cm and was useless against other armored vehicles. The gun of the PIII had L/45. It was 1,67 m long and was able to penetrate the most armors at the begin of the WW2.

  6. They put Lenin and comrades into a simple cattle wagon. There was only a little bit straw in it and a small coal oven, some food and a small bin for p***. When the passengers were in it, the doors were locked with padlocks. The padlocks were released when the train arrives the ferry port of Sassnitz at the island of Rügen. The travel was 2 or 3 days, iirc and there were some 30 people aboard.
  7. In german language the sentence always starts with a capital letter. But in the case when the sentence starts with a title of nobility it is difficult. There are three ways to avoid the small letter "von". The first is to start with the firstname, so the sentence starts with "Manfred von Richthofen ...." or "M. von Richthoven ...." or "M.v.Richthofen ....". The second is to use the titel, "Freiherr von Richthofen ...". And the third is to leave off the "von", so the sentence start with "Richthofen ...." The last version was the most common in that time.
  8. This is wrong. Correct the sentence must be: "German authorities allowed Vladimir Ilyitch Lenin and some comrades to travel, in a special locked one wagon train, from Switzerland ,where he was in exile, through Germany to Sweden, which he arrived via ferry. In Sweden larger amounts of money was passed to him by German diplomats. From Sweden he traveled via Finland to Petrograd to start a new socialist revolution."
  9. This will never happen. For the russians Gorbi is a loser. And never ships are named by losers.

  11. Maybe there is an other reason, which has to do with pilots. Perhaps the Pentagon wants to have a fistfull pilots which have enough flight hours to be allowed to fly this plane. It would be bad if you still have flightworthy planes, but no pilot who could operate them. An other reason could be similar with the operation of MiG-23 in the soviet forces in Germany in the late 80th and early 90th. A lot of high ranking staff officers were pilots of the MiG-23. There was the rule, that a pilot must have some flight hours per year to keep his pilotwings. To give them the chance to fly without retraining them to a modern fighter type the soviets operated some MiG-23s, so that the staff officers could keep their pilotwings. Perhaps a similar thing is happen now in the USA.
  12. Nice story. But did it really happen? Or growed the number of enemies over the years like the size of my last fished fish? I can clearly remember, that the pike i fished was as long as the span of my arms, it had eyes big as the eys of a bull and teeth long like the teeth of a tiger. Unfortunatly a friend of mine had taken a photo that proof, that the pike was only 30cm long.
  13. Look into Baltic Entrance terrain for WOE. There Sweden is set as Neutral.
  14. Its a movie, who cares. But i love the sentence: I wish it were night or the Prussians come.
  15. Was a great italian soviet movie cooperation with excellent actors from all over the world.

    Fury

One molotov cocktail is to less, because modern tanks have Freon anti fire systems. But this systems can be activated only 2 or 3 times. Translated text from the handbook: "With a molotov cocktail a tank of the opponent cant be annihilated, but harmed efficiently. A well placed molotov cocktail makes a tank unable to move and under certain circumstances it forced the crew to bail out. ..." Then follows the description how to made a molotov cocktail. Personally i liked the "geballte Ladung" much more, because we could play with some kilograms of Semtex (czech plastic explosive relativly similar to C4). I remember that one trainer made a do it yourself shaped charge explosive device which punched easily a hole trough a T-54 turret front. Was a nice big bang. Mixing of Thermit and later igniting was fun too. Cool fireworks. Only Napalm i disliked, it stinks pathetic.
  17. The use of jet engines for firefighting is not unusual and so it looks if the system is working
  18. The use of the VK-1 engine for de-icing the runways was common in the WP contries. Here one of the east german versions. It worked very well.

    Fury

This will become a little bit OT and has few to do with the movie "Fury". But okay. There was a lot of training i had, starting with molotow cocktail, anti tank handgranade, RPG-7 (only a short introduction), RPG-18 (a lot of time), anti tank mines, making of geballte Ladung (dont know the english term), detecting weak and strong points of panzers, creep into the "dead zones" of a panzer and so on and so on and so on. What a waste of time. I made some mobilephonephotos of my old military handbook which covers a little bit basic knowledge of Panzernahbekämpfung. The more important handbook "Panzernahbekämpfung moderner Panzer und Schützenpanzer der NATO" i have at home too. But i will not release pages here, because I dont know, who will read it and i dont want to give the know how to kill an Abrams in wrong hands.

    Fury

I have learned to knock out tanks from close distance from the scratch. Panzernahbekämpfung was the german term. Believe me, the movieend is LOL.

    Fury

One Sherman vs hundrets of german soldiers which are armed with Panzerfaust and the Sherman survived. LOL. This tank was known as "Tommy-Kocher" or "Ami-Kocher". One shot with Panzerfaust and the tankcrew will sit on the cloud and sing with the angles. This picture shows a Sherman after hit by Panzerfaust. Its cooked, thatswhy "Ami-Kocher". And this would have been the end of the movie from tactical and technical standpoint. But this would not have been heroic enough for Hollywood.

    50 year ban?

Its a correct ban. If a player countiniously attacks referees and other players then he should banned for ever.
