  1. is trying to install Max 2015

  2. bigstone, here is a reference that may help you with the vietnam airwings. it has helped me match up everything for BEELINE Phantoms (N and S). but it goes for the whole fleet from the current systems intro in 1961 until around 1994. eburger, i didn't mean any offense. we just have a difference of opinions on how to skin that particular cat. and while skins size is actually pretty low, the decal folders pad the size back up quite abit. and i've seen the fun of maintaining just with my little mods, i can only imagine the fun you have with the big installs
  3. could look at Mescalero Range terrain or Piecemeal's Desert terrains. they have parked Herks and Chinooks on there, the hercs as airfield targets. to throw out a future question, anyway to get the engine to pop one specific nation in a specific parking spot (say airliners)? some possibilities in the future where i might have need of parking jumbos at civilian airports in Germany and Dhimar......
  4. Keep the era in mind also. Towards the mid 60s up some of those nat metal finishes were painted silver laquer for corrosion control. Thuds come to mind, many Starlifters got it after regular flights to Vietnam, and even the F-102 had a one off in silver paint st Ogden. To all others, i also thank you for the tips. Said Starlifter is in my todo pile, as well as wanting to make some nat metal airliner skins (Eastern, American and Condor) Keep the era in mind also. 5. Way that i handled a similar issue with the F-4N encompassed several of the above techniques. I made a universal skin (bitmaps and jpegs in the main aircraft foldr rather than skin folder), then made skins for the units and years. But those folders mostly are just texture and decal ini. Also as above i have a very expanded squadronlist.ini to incorporate all units. If you have the DLC F-4N take a look at the skinset for it. Otherwise take a look at the updated Storm F-4N in the d/l section. Either will show what i'm talking about for the aircraft end. Would be awesome if you're thinking bout workin more units into game, esp the Nam era birds. My interest tends more to post Nam although the "correct for one deployment" markings bug me there too. Eric, the multiple skin bit fixes the many entries for one unit. But there are several units missing in the stock squadronlist as well (tho not as many missing in mine)
  6. Nightwatch
  7. Nice Herc on the site CA!

  8. Best rollercoaster ride you don't have to pay for. Landings at Skopje, Balad AB and Kandahar Airfield using the Sarajevo drop. Several hundred feet altitude in seconds, then your stomach catches up with you a few seconds after landing.
  9. thank you FRPignon. this fills a big gap in my SF world. Final cruise of the Rosie, the Harrier already left for the Photo op with the Bear....
  10. Awesome! Finally, a proper home for the BEELINE Phantoms....
  11. FRP...... a million thank you's! while carriers are about hte most proliferate ships in the download section, a free Midway class has been sorely missing from here. looking forward to the release. gotta get the rest of the airwing set for Rosie's last cruise now (F-4Ns are already skinned for that)
  12. For reading you say....... go Android and dl Kindle and a mobi and epub reader. Love my Galaxy Note even if its 2 yr old now, and still subs s for a most of the time when posting. The Snote app is great too for those of us who still like handwriting. Can lose that peice of paper easy, wont lose a couple hundred dollar electronic device (one hopes).
  13. um yes most defineatly since Gen 2 series is made for Vista and above. IMHO get Win7 if at all possible but that is more not personally liking to deal with 8. i know some will chime in agreeing on that and some will strongly disagree. back to main point..... yes it will work better.
  14. No time for fun. Ive got airliners to put out and you need to get back to work on a Super Tweet Jk of course. Stupid phone would show the smiley on the post grrrrrrr
  15. I see a stick of half a dozen snakeyes in that bahnhofs future heh heh
  16. IIRC they stopped doing that because of running out of bottles in they whole inventory.
  17. not a bad thing necesarily, makes it stable for those that still mod. and all i really sweat is the squadronlist.ini, lord help the terrain gurus!!!!
  18. spend half the effort you use on your mods on getting well. otherwise you will shoot past getting better and be stronger than the $6 Million Dollar Man! seriously tho, prayers are with you for a speedy and effective recovery!
  19. screech owls are loud for their size........

  20. Going back and rereading this thrwad, i have to askmif you've read The War That Came Early series by Harry Turtledove. Same basic priciple (war kicks off in 38) but a somewhat different how things go. Might want to give it a look
  21. Cool idea, but rather difficult to keep goin over the same timespan i'm afraid If you're talkin here on site. Daily checkup on Jonathans site would be good for as long as interest held
  22. Me thinks it always was. The game is somewhat limited in stock version, though with almost all makes of Phantom available. Go full 5 +2 merge install though, and pull the mods you desire and its still quite enjoyable. And i dont think the modders are out of steam. We just have real lives as well is all, and not all left standing have full capability (3d modelling, flight model knowledge etc).
  23. no no expansions are too big. he is working on preparations, named alpabetically. A-G have not gone well, but the next preparation looks promising.
  24. hats off to Fox1313, with a little adjustment this still shows up well now, to get Kneecap rolling.............
