  1. you know its not exactly polite to discuss who/what you voted for. Confidential, Baby!!!
  2. A Brief Announcement... the primary change in the Jul 11 patch to the data ini for the F-4D_78 and E_78 are that the #1 Sparrow station max wieght value is now 300 to allow for the AN/ALQ-131. the value in mine is currently 290 but can be increased. This ECM pod was not commonly seen until the mid 80's and then on predominantly strike tasked Phantoms such as the 4th TFW or "Killer" E models operating with "Hunter" G Weasel models. i will update this in the near future as well as adding a few other tweeks. Again thank you to all who are enjoying this mod so far. [sparrowStation1] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=6 StationGroupID=5 StationType=SEMI_RECESSED AttachmentPosition=-0.501,5.07,-0.84 AttachmentAngles=2.0,0.0,2.0 MissileRollAngle=45.0 EjectVelocity=0.0,0.0,-2.0 LoadLimit=300.0------------------------- change it to this from the original 290.0 if you would like to do it yourself! AllowedWeaponClass=SAHM,EP,LP AttachmentType=NATO,USAF MinExtentPosition= MaxExtentPosition=

  4. but did she get the rabies shot?
  5. question on them modified loadouts, will they show in the regular loadout screen or do you have to go to the mission editor to pick it?
  6. ok my usual sources of info are letting me down so i shoot this question to the crowd.... what were the squadron colors for the E-3 units? i have the colors offa the Flagship Skin from NF4 but dont know who had what color. I do also know that Elmendorf based ones were AK coded and Kadena based ZZ (tho both fall under the 522d at Tinker)but again dunno the color stripes. TIA for any help
  7. as for skins i think it would be more a matter of decalling as i cant think of anyone that uses something other than original colors. well outside the isrealis and SC National Guard.
  8. sweet! is it two weeks yet? however whatcha mean all six tailcodes the C used? didnt know A-16 came in a C flavor and the F-16C has 6 tailcodes at Balad alone
  9. congrats on the retirement Dave! one more deployment and 3 1/2 and i'll be caught up with ya. @ firehawk i wore that to drill yesterday. course it was supposed to be a family day. instead we get told sunday morning that we are on order for med screening for two day on the first day of the orders! lets say half got the email sat at midnight and half did not. care to guess which half i was in? at least we got lunch with our families, before getting our shots. i never thought i would miss being in a signal battalion! back @ Dave now you can tell tales of how much worse you had it! you know how the bbq blew up and everyone including the wives had to get rabies shots at midnight etc etc etc
  10. i friggin swear everytime i go to to drill a new patch comes out! sounds good tho, esp the nation specific loadouts. i'll hafta save me phantom mods and compare again in the morning. on a final note SF2 Tomcat will come out in September. its when my reserve unit mobilizes!!!!
  11. so you fly for the russian af i take it? cause you dont throw nothin away!!!
  12. in that universe..... 1st!!! DeGaulle has to go. he was way too France first for that too have come close to flyin. leads to 2nd!!!!! How much does Lockheed bribe the French AF to buy em? admittedly it would look good but this is a guy who'd only shut up about Americans leaving french soil when the SecState of the time asked him if we should remove the war dead from the American cemetaries in france!
  13. gimp is an excellent program. it does take a bit to get used to but works charms when you have a slight clue what your doing.
  14. aint no pro here just figured ya send your long arms outfar, let the guys with less endurance play closer to home if you can shoot you can shoot. hell in a pinch send the SLUFs up with 'winders!
  15. if i remember right most carrier air wings in the 80's had two squadrons of Tomcats dedicated to air defense(24 a/c). likely with hostilities against an enemy that can strike the carrier 4 Toms would be airborne with another 4 on ready alert, and a lot of motivation on the boat to get the rest airborne as quick as possible. if the air wing had Hornets they could also provide a closer in screen while Tomcats engaged further out. but yes while they were under threat they would need fighters for defense not escort.
  16. actually Nato didnt even have superior strength. the F-19s attacked or designated for attack the bridges that the bulk of reinforcements needed to get into the fight. it became an even matched battle of attrition. the russian side called the cease fire due to a political coup in Moscow and a massive lack of fuel for the fielded forces. the European campiagn was to keep NATO busy while Iran was invaded, for their oil after a major refinery was destroyed by terrorists. in R/L i believe if Operation Dreamland (downing of the Mainstays and bridges) had proceeded it woulda looked like this..... Eagles outta bitburg go for the Mainstays and escorts, Luftwaffe Phantoms and Hahn based Vipers block west bound flights while Spang Phantoms (i assume it to be pre 86) work on SAMs. and a Det of F-117s takes down the bridges. would have been deadlier for the NATO side, esp the Eagles but prob with much the same result esp if authorized to go preemptive like in the book. nothing throws off an armed intruder like finding the owner of the house with his shotgun blasting! and Gepard the Warsaw Pact had modern equipment in it (Mi-24, T-72) but due to much of the forces being behind the blown bridges it became a high tech stalemate.
  17. oooooooooooooh.... i was trying to firgure out what hada friggin 2500 gal fuel tank in game!
  18. to see if i've figured it out, wont you hit the wall before orbit?
  19. goto google maps http://maps.google.com/ type china as the start point, taiwan as the destination goto step 48.
  20. i know several recon pods are housed in F-16 centerline tanks but i've never heard of them holding fuel as well... the HIAC-1 pod might've also been a 600 gal centerline for the Phantom but i'm not sure on that one and am at drill this weekend
  21. i thought it was like dry land: a myth
  22. now Dave, were'nt you just telling someone about white missiles on green jets? ravenclaw these new Mav's look sharp!
  23. well 388th was one of the ones i was talking about. working on a USAFE setup, more decal based than stuff direct on skin.
