1. it is my firm belief that TK does this and then reads our reactions to it. why i dunno cuase we still aint gettin our way! 2. what if it was multiplayer? there is a true false line for it in the options.ini..........

the cynical side of me says unlocking fading. you can pay 1.99 to add this...... oh wait theres an ini edit for that already isnt there

1 all you have to do is remove the cockpitdata line from the aircrafts main ini(Mig29.ini). 2 but why would you want to? it is a bit fun and challenging to fly for the ted side once in a while. it will still generate as an enemy aircraft in game, tho not as often as stock planes. 3 much as it pains me to admit it a Phantom would get slapped around in a dogfight with a Fulcum. if you really know how to fly the Phantom and the Fulcrum pilots havin an off day maybe but..... in the BVR realm the only way would be the German F-4F ICE upgrade that uses Amraam. but even then after shootin they gotta get outta there as the survivors will be pissed.

in the mig 29's data ini there is a line right near the top that says nationname= . it should be listed to a known enemy nation for it to be an enemy such as Soviet or NVietnam. In the nationslist.ini each nation will be listed as friendly or enemy, you should not need to change that unless you want to make the US and Cuba friends or something similar! friendly or enemy does not make it flyable however.... it is the cockpit or lack of one that determines flyablity!

all good points gents, however..... the original question was about NF4+ post may/jun/jul patch!!! at a barest minimum i know that the fading issue probably needs to be addressed in mod, as well as the stock squadronlist.ini thatis now longer than the one provided for the last patch of NF4+. what else is needed to do to bring this mod back online to current patched standards?
-
cool!
-
yes i would. just back up your mods first even if buying a DLC aircraft!

@ C5 thats understandable. glad to hear your thinking about the future of the franchise, your contributions to it rock! @ Baltika i have NorthCape on my SF2 install. its very good tho it does need reworked watertiles and possibly an expansion of its borders to better allow for those scenarios. as is i cannot load ships in the mission editor.

me thinks it time to announce once again how to patch ones install's so stuff don't go fubar bigtime Mr. Wrench. personally i rename my mod folders with a x, delete out anythin that stayed stock(namely my isreali and USN aircraft) then after comparing newly patched Phantoms to MY Phantoms, i add it all back in. but i think you put all this out in the Knowledge Base before.....

i am curious what the latest if anything is up with the NF series. i know that the may patch brought signifigant enough changes that a new patch will have to be released for it. my question is not how long(two weeks duh ) but what has to be done get it back up? also are the any prospects for an NF5? esp say a Northern or Southern Flank actions that could legitimately bring in other nations (Greece, Turkey, USN and USMC) with out much elaboration or cover story( see they were there for TLP and.....) i know ther are many other projects in the works out there but at least for the current NF4+ we(ok at least me) are curious what remains to be done.

correct on the NF4+. those three tho are not seperate releases tho there are several SU-27 variants (SU-33, what if Flamkers etc) in the air craft download section. you will have to download at least the whole orignal NF4+, if not the patches as well because of sounds, weapons, effects etc. if you have a strong system it is well worth it.

Does the patch update all XXX.exe?

it will patch any install that is merged with where you apply the patch to. -
View File TMF E-3A Sentry for SF2 series This is The Mirage Factory's E-3A Sentry packaged as an individual aircraft for SF2 series. Included is a NATO skin by AmokFloo, the original 552d Flagship skin, and skins representing each squadron that flies the Sentry. Also included are decals for all NATO assigned aircraft and the Core 23 aircraft purchased by the USAF in the 70's. This should add some airborne eye candy to your installs, particularly Europe and the Middle East. To install simply drop the folders into the correct areas of your mods folder. Thank you to The Mirage Factory, AmokFloo, Dave and several others for their work on this project. i hope you enjoy this mod, and lets see how can form their favorite fighter on the wing long enough for a screenie! A Sentry FM issue....
daddyairplanes replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Mods & Skinning Discussion
thrust angle and roll radius are things eyeballed before on planes pulling one way or antoher but the ykeep doing it til airborne, this one straightens at a third of the way to rotation speed, leading me to believe forward momentm cancels it out eventually. i'll keep lookin for abit here.... after takin another look left and right sides match engines and landing gear, tried adding .1 on the engine thrust for both left side engines and still no joy. dont wanna goo to high that route and affect flight characteristics.... -
were you lookin for stock?

the E-3A Sentry for SF2 in NF4+ has an issue: a tendency to pull to the right from brake release to the first 50-60 kts of airspeed. i believe this has to do with the engine for the rotodome but it corrects as you gain speed and mainly manifests on the ground. i was thinking of an engine rotating the opposite direction underneath but not linked to anything or something such. any suggestions on how to correct this?
