I have taken a look at the LST MK1 HellisDeck and it has two issues. It is lacking a collision mesh and it does not have a flight deck collision mesh. It needs the first in order to be sold to other objects and it needs to second for the aircraft to land on a ship. Without it any landing attempt will be a crash.

Found this site for the building plastic models of USAF Aircraft. http://www.usaf-sig.org/ I thought that people here at CombatACE might be interested in it because of what is in their download section. http://www.usaf-sig.org/index.php/references/downloads Look under "Technical Orders" in the "Type-Specific" page. There are manuals for about forty different aircraft that have been flown by the USAF. Edit: Updated the links.

Maybe the sidewinder mounts on the F-22 will help as they are pointed at a downward angle. Missing planes
KJakker replied to Tommy2Fast's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Try this, open the missing aircraft's folder and look at its main INI file. Under [AircraftData] is it missing "CockpitDataFile=" entry missing? -

Help using Laser Guided bombs?
KJakker replied to Dillon's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Yes it does. It is running in my SF2:NA mods folder. It will appear as a terrain named "Range" that you can select in the single missions screen. -

Try the "SF2 Mescalero Proving Grounds - All-in-One 1.0" link to download page below. http://combatace.com/files/file/11877-sf2-mescalero-proving-grounds-all-in-one/ -
I believe you should be able to have a non moving gunsight element and also have a separate sight component that will adjust from default depression when AG Rockets or Guns are selected the level of depression being in accordance with the entries "RocketDepression=" and "GunDepression=" under the [GunsightFront] section of the cockpit.ini file. Taking a look at the F-8 and F-5 cockpit.ini files and testing them in flight might be helpful.

Piecemeal, is your gaming rig completely out or do you think it could be fixed by just replacing one or two components like the PSU or the GPU?

http://www.asoldiersilentnight.com/ "A Soldier's Silent Night" By James M. Schmidt Read by Father Ted Berndt T'was the night before Christmas He lived all alone, in a one bedroom house made of plaster and stone. I had come down the chimney with presents to give To see just who, in this dwelling did live. I looked all around A strange sight to see No tinsel, no presents, Not even a tree. On the wall hung pictures of far distant lands. Metals 'n badges, awards of every kind; A sobering thought came alive in my mind. This house was different... it was dark, it was dreary. I had found the home of a soldier, I could see that most clearly. The soldier lay sleeping, Silent, Alone; Curled up on the floor In this one bedroom home. His face was so gentle, The room in such disorder; Not at all how I pictured a United States' soldier. Was this the hero of whom I'd just read; Curled up on a poncho, the floor for a bed? Then I realized the other families I saw this night, Owed their lives to soldiers Who were willing to fight. In the morning, round the world, Children would play; Grown-ups would celebrate A bright Christmas Day. But they all enjoy freedom Each month of the year, Because of soldiers Like the one lying here. I couldn't help but wonder How many lay alone, On a cold Christma Eve In lands far from home. The very thought Brought a tear to my eyes; I dropped to my knees, I started to cry. The soldier awakened I heard his rough voice, "Santa don't cry, This life is MY choice. I fight for freedom, I don't ask for more; My life is my God, My country, My corps." The soldier rolled over, and drifted to sleep. But, I couldn't control it, I continued to weep. I kept watch for hours, So silent and still; As both of us shivered From the cold night's chill. I didn't want to leave him On that cold, dark night; This guardian of honor, So willing to fight. Then, the soldier rolled over, In a voice soft and pure, He whispered, "Carry on Santa, It's Christmas Day, all is secure." One look at my watch, I knew he was right. Merry Christmas my friend, May God bless you this night. P.S. This should have been posted last night.

This is not the first time I have heard about a jet pilot pushing a fellow jet to safety. I think this story must have circulated during Vietnam because I remember hearing a story of a Navy F-4 crew who pushed a fellow F-4 out over the Gulf of Tonkin so they could eject. They did the same thing with the tail hook. The pilot of that crew mentioned that he got the idea from a story he had heard of an Air Force pilot doing it. Unfortunately I don't know what documentary I saw it in. Also in an episode of Dogfights F-86 pilot James Robinson "Robbie" Risner pushed his wingman Joe Logan out over the sea so that he could eject after Logan's fuel tanks were damaged by flak. Unfortunately in that case Logan go tangled in his parachute lines and he drowned. Link to the Dogfights video at the time index of the event provided below.

It has been a long time since I played IL2/Pacific Fighters but as I recall the AI has perfect trim settings at all times, hence the difference in performance between player and AI controlled aircraft. However you will have to talk to someone more experienced with IL2 than me to find out how to fix it.

Gun smoke
KJakker replied to DEVIL11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Try the attachment below and see if you get the smoke you want. Place the effect into your Effects folder and the gun into your Objects\Guns folder. Gau8FireEffect.7z Gau8FireEffect.7z -
View File SF2:NA Nelson Class Battleship ------------------------------------------------------ HMS Nelson class battleship Ver 2.0 ------------------------------------------------------ By YEYEYE & KJakker --------------- DESCRIPTION --------------- This update of the Nelson class battleship by YEYEYE improves the appearance of the 40mm Bofors & Pom-Pom mounts. It also fixes an issue with previous version of the Nelson that caused the ship to sink from only a hand full of light hits no matter what the "StructuralFactor=" in the Data.INI file was set to. The ship also now has proper Engine Power, EmptyMass, Armor Thickness, Radar Range & Radar Frequencies, and all gun mounts have been given their correct Field of Fire, Rate of Train, Rate of Elevation, and Ammo Capacity. Note: Three "Data.INI" files for the Nelson class have been included. The Alt1 and Alt2LR data.ini variants use alternate guns from the default file. The Alt2LR is the same as Alt1 but has special long range 16 inch and 6 inch guns. --------------- INSTALLATION --------------- Extract all the files(sounds, object, effects, etc) from the archive to your StrikeFighters2 folder. --------------- CREDITS --------------- Ship basic model, Multiple-LOD, Damage model, Skin by YEYEYE.
