    1. Dassault-Breguet Sagette (Arrow) for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 (Europe or Merged)

I modded the stock MiG-21SM from SFP:E to make it look like a fictional fighter for the french air force.

      BACKGROUND

After the retirement of the Farandole II, several french fighter wings got the Mystere IVA. Complaints about lacking engine power and fire power led to the development of the Sagette, which was a more versatile and powerful fighter, easy to fly and and with reasonable armament. This plane entered active service in 1971, replacing the Mystere IVA.

This plane was also able to carry the new R530 IR and radar guided missiles, which gave the plane even more firepower.

      INSTRUCTIONS

    2. This is a mod of the Super Hornet F from EricJ to make it look like a plane from the israeli air force.

      BACKGROUND:
In the final years of the first decade of the 21st century, Israel decided to replace their F-16C and D-Models (Barak) with a new type of fighter/bomber.
The only really fitting model for type of missions was the FA-18 Super Hornet.

The decision of either taking the E or F-model was decided in favor of the F-model due to the fact that two crewmembers would bring a better performance during the missions. The squadrons of the IAF equipped with the adapted Version, the Akav, were the 116th Squadron "Defenders of the South" and the 140th Squadron, "The Golden Eagle".

      INSTALLATION:
Simply drop the Folders into your Strike Fighters Mods Folder.

    3. Fictional mod of Julhelm great A/F-24 to create a fighter plane for the spanish navy air arm.

      Background:
In exchange for the losses, both civil and military, during the second Iraq war, Spain received the opportunity of buying planes with stealth technology for a lower price. Together with the F-35E 'Lobo' (Wolf) for the 8th escuadrilla, Spain acquired 18 A/F-24 which made service in the 9th escuadrilla. All these planes were bought and put into service in 2004.

    4. This is a mod of TMF's F-14B (96) to make it look like a multirole aircraft from the israeli air force.

      BACKGROUND:
Being impressed of the interception capabilities of the F-14 combined with the AIM-54 Phoenix, the IDF decided to order themselves a modified version of the F-14B, the bombing capable version of the Tomcat. Modifications were performed by IAI. The modifications also needed the AIM-54C to be modified.

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, the national arms manufacturer, created, based on the construction plans of the Phoenix, the 'Serpent' LRAAM, which design was identical to the Phoenix but with israeli electronics inside. The missile was extensely tested over the mediterranean sea and proofed to be equal to the AIM-54 concerning performance, reliability and accuracy. Primary role was the interception of incoming enemy planes from seaside long before reaching the coast and secondary role was Strike and Anti-Ship-Missions.

Two squadrons got equipped with the 'Peten':
The Valley Squadron (109th) grey camo
Flying Dragon Squadron (115th) desert camo

    5. This is a mod of the JAS-39C from the Gripen Team to make it look like fighterplane from the japanese air self defense force.

      BACKGROUND:
After having had good experiences during the first joint venture between SAAB and Mitsubishi and the high grade of acception of the japanese Draken by the JASDF-Pilots, the ministry of defense initiated a new joint venture. The swedish Gripen was now to be "nipponized". Pilots of the JASDF went to Sweden to fly the Gripen and push her to the limit, testing her capabilities. The Pilots were amazed how easy it was to fly the Gripen.

Back in Japan, the Pilots reported their experiences to their superiors what led to an order of 120 planes, mainly single-seater. The first planes arrived during the first months of 2006, were they had to undergo changes in electronics, adapting them to japanese JASDF-Standards. The 8th Hikotai and the 305th Hikotai were the first squadrons receiving the Gripen. This plane was the first wearing the new JAMPAT-Camo in service.

    6. Kamchatka Peninsula

      v2.0

      by Baltika

      For Strike Fighters 2 Series

This is an upgrade of my original Kamchatka Peninsula Terrain to bring it up to the latest SF2 standard (September 2011 patch).

I was motivated to bring it up to speed to provide a native combat environment for TK's excellent JASDF Phantom F-4EJ, available at the Thirdwire DLC Store.

      What's new over version 1.0:

      -Fully compatible with SF2
      -Winter and Summer tilesets
-Fully operational in Thirdwire Mission Editor (Cheers Crusader!)

This terrain includes a base tileset by Deuces, together with Stary's forests and farms mod adapted for use on this terrain. I have also created a large number of additional transition tiles based on Deuce's tiles, which may be of interest to terrain builders.

This version 2.0 release also includes a full winter tileset, which is based on Major Lee's DBS terrain tileset. Thanks also to Wrench for creating the water effect .TGA tiles used here which bring the water to life.

The tile naming format is compatible with the stock GermanyCE tileset for ease of expansion, but be aware that the excellent hi-res and seasoned tilesets by Brain32 and Stary in particular will not have all the necessary transition tiles, so use them with caution. Should you wish to use the included transitioned tileset for your own terrain mods, copy all the terrain .bmp files and .tga files into the "Tileset" folder and convert the .tga tiles to .bmp format. See Gepard's excellent terrain tutorials in the KB at CA for more info.

All mission types are activated, for both red and blue side flyable. The Americans have their existing bases on the Aleutian Islands. I have handed the northern Kuril Islands to the Japanese for the sake of this scenario. Take it as read that the Soviets were sufficiently distracted by the ground war in central Europe that they lost their hold on the Kurils to Japan. Now, the Soviets are engaged in a fierce battle for control of the strategically important Kamchatka Peninsula.

This is a target-rich, fictionalised version of the RUssian Far East. There are many installations and industrial zones in the Kamchatkai Krai that you will not find in real life. Equally, as much real-life stuff as I could discover went into the mix. Also, this is a showcase of a fully-transitioned tileset, so there is much more agriculture than you would get at these latitudes. Just kick back and enjoy the scenery.

Finally, there is a monstrous presence lurking at the heart of the Peninsula who has risen from aeons of deathless sleep to trouble the affairs of men once more. Bragging rights to the first person to take a recon photo of this horror and make it back to base alive, and with their sanity intact ;-)

      INSTALLATION:-

Simply unzip and drop the "KAMCHATKA" folder into your User\Saved Games\Thirdwire\StrikeFighters2\Terrains folder.

It is highly recommended that you install the files listed below or you will not get the full intended Kamchatka Krai experience.

    8. I modded the stock F-16A Netz to make it look like a fictional fighter plane for the spanish air force.

YOU WILL NEED SF2:I AT LEAST TO GET THIS PLANE RUNNING!

      BACKGROUND

Spain acquired the Mirage F-1 in 1975 and equipped the Ala 14 in Albacete. After the start of the transition from dictatorship to democracy, the US government sought to improve the relationship to Spain which had a strategic position at the western end of Europe, right in front of Africa. On one hand, they wanted to establish bases in Spain enabling them faster reactions in the middle east and northern Africa. On the other hand they showed their support the new government and their intentions to create a stable country.

As a sign of good will, president Jimmy Carter offered the F-16 to the Ejército del Aire at a special price. The Mirage F-1 became replaced by the F-16, which received the designation C-17 Halcón. Both squadrons based in Albacete got equipped with the plane. The F-1s got sold back to France at a significantly lower price, who sold them again to Morocco and Iraq.
