As the Do17K being close resemblance of the Do17E and M type, it mainly differ in several major features and was more capable combat platform. Do17Ka-1 and Ka-2 was derivates of Do17E/F and featured fabric covered wing lower surface and short distance among the engines. Do17Kb from Dornier and Yugoslav had all metal wing covering and some longer engine mountings.

    2. The Dornier Do 17, sometimes referred to as the Fliegender Bleistift ("flying pencil"), was a World War II German light bomber produced by Claudius Dornier's company, Dornier Flugzeugwerke. It was designed as a Schnellbomber ("fast bomber"), a light bomber which, in theory, would be so fast that it could outrun defending fighter aircraft.

    3. The Farman F.222 and its derivatives were thick-sectioned, high-winged, four engined monoplanes from Farman Aviation Works. Based on the push-pull configuration proven by the F.211, design started in August 1925 and the first flight of the prototype was on May 26, 1932. The definitive F.222 variant was the biggest bomber to serve in France between the world wars.

    4. SF2 WW2 MTO Republic P-47D "Razorback" Thunderbolt 12/22/2014

      = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!)

*This mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs. It was built for SF2 ONLY!!.*

This is a BRAND NEW aircraft, brought to you by Cocas Aircraft Factory & Co.
We are calling this "version 0.9", as there exists the possibility of more work being required. But, we wanted to get them out into the hands of our WW2 End Users ™ for their examinations and so forth.

REMINDER: this pack contains MTO Jugs only!!! Other theatres/users will follow as time permits, and as they are completed.

This pak contains a NEW model, representing the Razorback P-47D Thunderbolt in the MTO as seen in late 1943 through war's end.

      Skins included are:

      15th AF:

317th FS, 325th FG - this is withOUT the Checkertail markings
317th FS, 325th FG - this is WITH the Checkertail marking; called "317FS_L"

The "L (or Late)" skin uses the SF2 'start date switch', to turn on automatically in April, 1944. By this time, they had finished painting all the checks on all the tails of all the planes in all the 325th's squadrons. These were carried until the Group converted to Mustangs (and had to start all over painting the checks again!!).

The aircraft is finished in standard OD/Grey, with MTO theatre markings on the cowl.
All markings are decals; excepting the 325th Checkertail and MTO theatre markings; these are painted on. Decal randomization is set to TRUE.
There is one base set of decals for both skins. As this is for just one squadron, it makes for a sligtly smaller up/down load package.
There -are- some nose arts, and you'll find them listed with the individual aircraft number drop down on the Loadout Screen. They are matched to their 'plane-in-squadron' Battle Number.
Damage textures are new, in DDS format. The Hangar Screen is a rather 'generic' type.
The canopy opens/closes with the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0
Pilots, sounds, weapons are all included.

Templates for this aircraft will be issued as a seperate release, for those skinners that wish to do other units for other theatres or Allied users.

As there are several P-74D Razorbacks available, when in game you'll see:

      P-47D-20 Thunderbolt (CAF)

on the aircraft selection dropdown menu. This will diferentiate it from any others that are around (Wolf or DAT).

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, as usual, give the "Notes" section a read, too.

      Happy Landings!

REMINDER: this pack contains ETO Jugs only!!! Other theatres/users will follow as time permits, and as they are completed.

This pak contains, as stated above, a NEW aircraft, representing the Razorback P-47D (-5 thru -20) Thunderbolt as seen in late 1943 through war's end.
      Skins included are:

      56th Fighter Group (8th AF):

      61st FS
      62nd FS
      63rd FS

      and

      377th FS, 362nd FG (9th AF)

All markings are decals; this will allow super easy creation of other squadrons by simply creating a new SCode decal, although those with a purer historical heart will also have to run down the matching serial numbers for their decal creation. Decal randomization is set to TRUE.
Please note, Squadron or Group specific markings -ARE- painted on.
The mod has the correct nose arts, matched to plane-in-squadron letter and serial numbers for the 61st FS only. However, the serials for the 62nd & 63rd ARE matched to their plane-in-squadron letter. They have no nose arts. Any marked with a star (*) ARE correct for their squadron, but could not be 100% matched to a particular aircraft.

The 61st carries the mid-to-late 43 style of QIMs, and the other 2 (62 & 63) have the 1944 style used the 56th, including the squadron colored tails.
The 377th is in natural metal, and has full D-Day markings. Included is a post-September 44 skin, with D-Day stripes -only- on the bottom. Those serials should be considered "generic" in nature, but ARE for the correct model variant.

All the 1stGen Hangar and/or Loading screens were either rebuilt to SF2-spec, or created new for this package. They are in jpg format, and fit SF2 styling. Damage textures are also new, in DDS format.
The canopy opens/closes with the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0
Pilots, sounds, weapons are all included.
Templates for this aircraft will be issued as a seperate release, for those skinners that wish to do other units for other theatres or Allied users.

As some unit markings are repeated, those with the mods I built for Wolf's Razorback, can choose to keep those, revamp them for use on THIS model, or remove them to storage. You'll most likely be doing this when the D 'Bubbletop' is released.

    7. SF2 WW2 MTO USAAF P-40L Pak by Raven 12/18/2014

-- Something for the WW2 MTO players --

      = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: this pak MAY be usable in 1stGen SF/Wo* game installs. However, some features (decal randomization and FM adjustments and several other things) will =NOT= be functional. Use in 1stGens has not, and cannot be, tested by me.*

**Note x2: this mod is designed for use =ONLY= in a MTO-Centric mods folder**

At first, (as usual!!) I was just going to do a simple skin/decals pack. But with all the "modifications" made to fit into SF2 chose to take the "lazy man's way out" and am just uploading the entire aircraft. So, if you already have Raven's P-40L in your MTO-centric mods folder, best to back it up someplace.

This is the full aircraft, with my 'tweeked' sf2-ish data ini. The skin included is for...

317th FS, 325th FG (the Checkertails)

as seen from late 1943 in North Africa and points North. This is the timeframe BEFORE the 325th converted to P-47s.
The original "OD_Green" skin is included, as the #2 texture, and has it's decals randomized. It carries the "star-and-ball" of 1942 thru Sept 43 insignia.
As a second option, I've included a "generic" MTO light earth/dark earth/grey unders camo skin. If one wants to use that type in place of the OD, I'd advise moving or renaming the OD skin maps !!BEFORE!! doing anything else.
All Skins remain in their bmp format.
New DDS damage textures (usable on all Raven's Warhawk/Kittyhawk in SF2 only) are included.
All markings are decals, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. There are no nose arts.
No weapons are included, excepting SF2 Version of the 2 drop tanks required (for those that haven't converted yet). New theatre-specific Hangar and Loading screens are included, too.

When in-game, on the aircraft selection drop-down, you'll see

      P-40L-10 CU (Raven)

This will diferentiate this for any other Warhawks you may (or may not) have.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!! Also, please give the "Notes" section a read as well

      334th FS, 4th FG

This was the first "combat ready" version of the Jug, but was quickly superceded by later improved models (D Razorback), hence it short operational life. This has the bulged keel, with provision for a single drop tank or bomb. This should be the equlivant of the C-5-RE version.

All markings are decals; this will allow super easy creation of other squadrons by simply creating a new SCode decal, although those with a purer historical heart will also have to run down the matching serial numbers for their decal creation. Decal randomization is set to TRUE.
