pappychksix Posted Friday at 06:14 PM Posted Friday at 06:14 PM Is this aircraft available here guys? Been working on this for about 3 days and not even sure where I got it. 5
pappychksix Posted Friday at 06:39 PM Author Posted Friday at 06:39 PM Thanks Wrench. I've had it since 2017...was just curious. 1
yakarov79 Posted Saturday at 07:04 AM Posted Saturday at 07:04 AM Either DAT improved their model, or this is not DAT at all. As it does not look DAT to me. But I might be wrong if they updated the model. 1
GKABS Posted Saturday at 09:11 AM Posted Saturday at 09:11 AM If you don't mind my asking, as I haven't been registered at the forum since before 2018, who is DAT?

daddyairplanes Posted Saturday at 02:18 PM Posted Saturday at 02:18 PM @pappychksix whats the lod name? DAT birds almost always have R0 in the name
allenjb42 Posted Saturday at 06:09 PM Posted Saturday at 06:09 PM @pappychksix can you show is one of the skin .bmps or .jpgs?
whiteknight06604 Posted Saturday at 07:16 PM Posted Saturday at 07:16 PM (edited) there are a few Mohawks circulating around. DAT was the first, then there are one or more that seemed to be ripped from other games, MSFS etc. that were being shared/circulated on Facebook then there was one that was uploaded here not long ago but was removed because while it was an "original " model it used the DAT skins. Jimbib Posted Saturday at 10:22 PM Posted Saturday at 10:22 PM (edited) This is not the DAT OV-1, theirs was a port of Jim "Rockster" Jacobson and the mesh is much lower quality. This appears to be a port of Tim "Piglet" Conrad's Mohawk from MSFS. There are a couple of possibilities here: It's either this port that was WIP by @mustang60348 nineteen years ago - see first post in thread below (same person who ported Tim's OV-10D Bronco) Or it's a separate, unrelated port, but I would say it's 99% Tim Conrad's model, check the similarities around all the antennae, mesh detail on fuel tanks, cockpit interior, canopy frame etc. Edited Saturday at 11:04 PM by Jimbib 3
Wrench Posted Saturday at 11:15 PM Posted Saturday at 11:15 PM Interesting ... be good to find out which!! That skin looks REALLY good!! 3

Cheers Snapper21 AT-28D Nomad (49-1543) of the 606th Special Operations Squadron, Laos \ Cambodia, circa 1964-65 without national insignia.

Snapper -- why not use the YAP Trojan? I know there's some differences, but it should be close enough and is readily available and (almost) free use. 1

Wrench Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago that's definately NOT capun's style of mapping -- most of theirs have a LOT of empty space on texture maps. Safe to say, that's it's most likely not a DAT bird, but the one Jimbib was talking about. If so, then it pretty sure to be OK to release the full mod, in my opinion 1
Jimbib Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Yep, that matches the mapping for Tim Conrad's Mohawk. By the way, nice texture @pappychksix
Wilches Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I got DAT´s and after a quick glance I can surely say this is not DAT´s for sure. Perhaps FILE 404´s. 1
