Found this last night, iirc, Veltro2k made it. did we ever get a collection of max files from Coyote Aerospace? i know theres a bonch of lods waiting to be finished, but it would be nice if v2k had or would pass on the max files so some others can take a try at em 1
Wrench Posted June 19 Posted June 19 not to my knowledge bro, it would be GREAT it if we did. If so, we could make fixes on some of the early ones that have shadow casting issues. and/or using existing ones to make other versions of same aircraft (thinking of the various Banshee's we never got) 2

I'd try to come out of retirement to skin that

Wrench Posted June 19 Posted June 19 I'll see what I can find -- I know they're buried around here someplace. The only major thing is , WW2 modding is pretty much dead; we're missing so many aircraft that only "they" have, and some of what we do have is so old... I may do the same for the A3D & EA-3B Skywarrior's as for the T-2. Like the Buckeye, they can't catch the wire on the boat, but are fully skinned and decals to 99.9% accuracy 2

Sure we will use those A3 and E3 as well. And maybe someone can fix the Buckeye.

Those who know - know how I work on the models - if I get tired or burned out I move to another model for some time....I absolutely love Starfighter and I have more to come, but then me and one other guy here made a major update - so old should be updated, new should be updated, and more to come made in new way....But I like to work at my own pace... I really would like to be in position to promise you bunch of new models...but time no sky is the limit....maybe after retirement - but then you have to wait 20 or so years.. meanwhile, a friend sent me a model he was making for fun...of course I did some adjustments, and have another thing in works now - but this one is quite ready...need to finish landing gear as his was quite simplified.... 5 1

Wrench Posted June 19 Posted June 19 yakarov: if you have the max files for angelp's Skywarriors ... that means that the untextured (black in game) regions can be mapped and painted. if you want, i can send you the whole package of everything ... was just testing them, and remembered (ie: found out) the EA-3 gets tossed off the cat by doing a backflip and crashing. THAT one is seriously messed up!!! and the wings don't fold in all the way, like they should. 1
Wilches Posted June 20 Posted June 20 AngelP passed me some years ago an incompleted Ar 234B wich´s pretty good but it lacks cockpit map skin and some other details here and there. I did a kind of rudimentary cockpit by using some other´s part to make it flyable. Flies ok but but needs some tweaks. 10

Wrench Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Having thought a LOT about with Wilches askes a few weeks ago, I've decieded to go ahead with angelp's WW2 aircraft mods. As they ARE mostly finished, to my aging recall (well, at least they were 3 years ago???). They'll be released in an 'as is' state, but at least they'll be out. So, don't expect them soon; hopefully I"ll be starting on them again mid-summer and releasing as 'finished'. Here's a list; mind you, it ONLY WW2 stuff... DB-7A, DB-7B (2 birds) A20A, C, G, K (4 birds) B-18 Bolo (USAAC, AAF, RCAF) Bristol Beaufort - also Oz built DAP version for SWP (2 birds) SB2U-1, SB2U-3 (2 birds) V-156-F (French navy version of Vindicator/Chesapeak) I also have another (semi)super secret project that will remain under wraps until it's release. I forsee the B-18 being the hardest, and it's been MANY years since I've done any research running down serials and markings. As stated, this is a MONTHS long project(s). So, don't expect anything soon. thank you. 4 2
