+SkateZilla Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Truely spoken by someone that has no idea what it takes to build a terrain; with the TE or otherwise. Double Guilty Quote
stuntman Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 reading this (---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kh-22 ) I wonder if it's going to be possible to mod it and add a nuclear warhead Quote
+Wrench Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 been done methinks! Shoot, we got nuke tipped anythings!!! Quote
Icarus999 Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) The stage is being set F-6D Missileer = the ugliest interceptor that ever flew. kinda like mounting a huge radar in the nose of an A-6 and arming it with AIM-54's Edited February 8, 2012 by Icarus999 Quote
Icarus999 Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 We have plenty of modern sub mods but I don't think any of them are set up to launch missiles or torpedoes. Quote
Spinners Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 F-6D Missileer = the ugliest interceptor that ever flew. kinda like mounting a huge radar in the nose of an A-6 and arming it with AIM-54's Except that it never flew. Quote
+Stary Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I wonder, with all the little visual improvements -any chances for self-shadowing cockpit? Quote
+Gr.Viper Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I wonder, with all the little visual improvements -any chances for self-shadowing cockpit? You mean dirty windows like the ones stock WoV Intruder had? Quote
+Stary Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 nope, cockpit mesh casting and receiving shadows Quote
+Gr.Viper Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 nope, cockpit mesh casting and receiving shadows I wonder how many artifacts will pop up in older mod pits if that's turned on. Quote
+Stary Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I'm pretty sure that would be cockpit-dependant, ie, something like CastShadow=True in cockpit ini file Quote
+JediMaster Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 It works in FE2 anyway. Of course, that's not exactly the same. Quote
+JonathanRL Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Is it just me that is almost going to bits of curiosity about new Campaign Scripts? :P For some reason, I for one think the Anti Ship missions will be alot more interesting with SF NA and getting an almost total overhaul. Quote
Hellfire257 Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 This is worse than waiting for Jet Thunder news! Quote
+Stary Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 but contrary to JT this one will be released this year Quote
+daddyairplanes Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 yea but wasnt that said last year? (cues "the song that never ends"......) Quote
+JonathanRL Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 This is worse than waiting for Jet Thunder news! Sad to say it, but I given up on JT News. If it comes, it comes. Quote
bwild Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Wouldn't the new terrain engine be ideal for the Falklands? Even smaller than Iceland. Quote
+Dave Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 but contrary to JT this one will be released this year It will even be released this decade. JT, not so much. Quote
+Gr.Viper Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Wouldn't the new terrain engine be ideal for the Falklands? Even smaller than Iceland. To simulate fuel issues you'll need the map to reach Argentina as well. Quote
+Stary Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 It will even be released this decade. JT, not so much. As much as I like and support Dante's and his Team idea and passion, it's the publisher (aerosoft) who's apparently screwing with them. Sad. I hope they'll make it though. Yes, Malvinas would be great for new terrain engine* except the fact nowe we know nothing in fact about the engine, nice sea and Iceland shore is the distance aside. *Or Israel... or Vietnam, or Central Europe... oh, wait Quote
macelena Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Yes, Malvinas would be great for new terrain engine* except the fact nowe we know nothing in fact about the engine, nice sea and Iceland shore is the distance aside. Well, RSR Iceland campaign was largely based at the Falklands War, it would be some kind of 30 year round feedback. The Argentines are looking forward to update the Malvinas Mod to the new standards. +Stary Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 The Argentines are looking forward to update the Malvinas Mod to the new standards. I thought it's Prince William who wants some update these days... they even send him some modding tools via submarine Quote
+JonathanRL Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I for one look forward to populate the Baltic with all the naval action it deserves. Quote
