+allenjb42 Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 (edited) Shimshon, now with squadron badge and correct serial numbers. We'll soon get high with a little help from my friends Jarek and Kevin! Question - I have permission to release the skin, but does anyone want me to create a full nationalised Israeli Shimshon aircraft (with Dels' permission of course)? amariani Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 WIP...can anybody tell me if the tail code is correct for these markings? 5
+daddyairplanes Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 depends on when and what air wing they were assigned to. i have a book on it, but it only goes to 1994 and VF-103 became The Jolly Rogers after VF-84 disbanded in 1995, so you need to look up between 95 and 05 (when they transitioned to Super Bugs) mandatory screenie 2

+daddyairplanes Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 not as clumsy or drab as an Antonov, this was an elegant airliner of a more colorful age.... (cause not all the quotes can be from Airplane!) 6
Caesar Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 WIP...can anybody tell me if the tail code is correct for these markings? VF-103, following their change from Sluggers to Jolly Rogers remained part of CVW-17, using the tailcode "AA" vice "AJ" (CVW-8). This site has damn near every CVW deployment, which will give you what squadrons were attached, and what their tailcodes were (link shows CVW-17) http://www.gonavy.jp/CVW-AAf.html. Required screenie: Early dawn return 2
