This ship based on real blueprints but modelled not sharp to it so.. its generick item ;-) I wanted to sink something BIG but easy. so i took my old ship which i modeled for magazine illustration and did a quick convertation. sooooo its possible mistakes. Third Wire MiG-23 fighters made flyable & updated for SF2 MiG-23M, MiG-23M (85), MiG-23MF, MiG-23ML, MiG-23MLA, MiG-23MLD, MiG-23MLD (Soviet-Afgan War), MiG-23MLDe, MiG-23P, MiG-23P (82), MiG-23MS This is a follow on from my "Third Wire MiG-23MLD updated & flyable for SF2" mod and completely supersedes it. - All are flyable with a modified version of Stary's MLD cockpit/ avionics with corrections by Crusader and myself. There are slightly different cockpits/ gunsights depending on the model of aircraft. - Wing spoilers are now working as they were always there just not activated. Thanks again Crusader! - Opening Canopy. - KM-1 Ejection seats added. Grey on most but black for Mig-23MLDe, MiG-23P and MiG-23P (82). - Loadouts enhanced and corrected. Some Afghanistan specific ones added. Use of Kh-25M air-to-surface missile and datalink pod added. - Missile positions corrected, especially for the AA-8. - Single missile rail for the fuselage AA-8. - Improved/ corrected FM. - Improved engine sound and afterburner effect. - All Mig-23 have an ACM/ boresight radar mode but it is set straight ahead along the gunsight and does not move/ scan. The MLD and P (82) have an ACM/ boresight mode that scans vertically like the F-16 or F-15 etc. - MLD, MLDe and P (82) have KDS-23 countermeasure dispenser installed in the centreline drop tank pylon. This is a 12 shot chaff/ flare countermeasure dispenser that could be used once the drop tank had been jettisoned. - MLD Leading edge flaps automatically deploy during maneuvering as they did on the MLD with the type 3 wing. - MLD Primary and secondary roles expanded to reflect the evolution of the MLD into a more multi role fighter platform. - Removed ECM jammer from MLD. - Radar data and performance is corrected from the S-23MLA radar to the S-23MLA-II radar for the MLD. - Most if not all the exported and Warsaw pack ML aircraft were actually MLA models, this is an error in most publications, model kits and flight sims alike and has only been corrected in recent publications. The ML was operated by the Soviet airforce and by the time the export models were being built the production line had switched to the MLA. This is now corrected in the game. All skins updated with cockpit textures and various other minor details. - Grey undersides on Soviet Camouflage skins changed from grey to blue/ grey. Additional dark green added in to the Soviet camouflage of later model MiG-23s. Lots of other texture corrections done. - Skins added for Iraqi, Syria (Late), Polish camouflage, Egypt, North Korea, Libya, Soviet desert (in Afghanistan) and Soviet Afghanistan veterans. - Corrections to decal size and/ or positions on various skins. - Additional MiG-23MLDe variant created. This is the Syrian and Libian specific export model of the MLD which did not have the IFF or aerodynamic enhancements (vortex generators) of the Soviet MLD and had a slightly downgraded radar. Syrian made countermeasure dispensers installed on either side of the tail fin. - Additional MiG-23P (82) variant created. This is the Soviet P model that was upgraded to the same standard as the MLD but without the aerodynamic enhancements. - Additional MiG-23M (85) variant created. This is a few squadrons of the Soviet M model that had its IFF upgraded some time between 1978 and the early 90's (Same nose IFF antenna as the MLD and P (82). - Additional MiG-23MLD (Soviet-Afgan War) variant created. This is the Soviet MLD but reflects the specific loadouts, modifications, countermeasures and markings of the MLD models that served in the Soviet Afgan war. - Updated weapons from the RSSW 099 mod. To Install: 1, Delete ALL previous TW MiG-23 mods. 2, Unpack and drop the 2 parts of this download into your main mods folder. 3, You MUST override when prompted. AGM-158C LRASM by @JosefK This is a data + skin mod of the AGM-158 for the C model, the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile or LRASM. All based on @FastCargo's AGM-158 JASSM for the anti-ship missile variant. It's worth noting has a service start year of 2018 and is assumed to stop serving in 2050. Also the LRASM has a range of over 600 km/300 nm. In Real-Life/RL, the LRASM has only been integrated with the B-1B and the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet but the intention is to make her work with the F-35 and vertically launch from ships. US Navy (USN) and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) only customers so far, but Sweden, Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Canada and Japan are likely customers also. SF2 Forest Bowl Terrain, V.2 4/5/2020 - For SF2, Any & All (Full-4/5 Merged, + Expansion Packs Reccomended) This is a (mostly) complete revamp of "The Forest Bowl" terrain that was included in the (uncompleted) SF2 Civil/Firefighter Mod. It has been completely retargeted to make it a useful 'combat' terrain. All new movement inis, targets, types, etc. Also, now all 4 seasons are working. This terrain takes place in the fictional world of the Alliance vs the Global Sedition. The map is fully functional for ALL mission types with year spans from the 1940s through the far future (well, at least 2050) ie: There are NO mission type or time limitations. Many and Lots (tm) of new terrain objects have been added, all cities are now valid targets. Shipping, Ground Attack and Armed Recon missions have a good number of routes for both sides to utlize. As is my habit, the terrain is covered with Easter Eggs; you shouldn't have any problems finding them. In short, the terrain is a myth-mash. You may experience longer than normal loading times due to the number of terrain objects and seasonal tiles. As is reccomended, unzip this archive to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended you -read- the document through after unzipping, but =BEFORE= installing. As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense section may make for entertaining reading. Good Hunting! Well I honestly thought it would be cool to add a little bit of suspense music to the in -game planning map where the 'down-town' strike missions are being planned with a little bit of classic 60s pure blues Guitar music and the main theme sound track of 'Vietcong Red Dawn' game is one of my favourite. So I added it as the Strike Fighters 2 Vietnam in-game planning map sound track. To install simply extract the contents of this file to your mod folder: C:\Users\[Your User Name]\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Vietnam\ and when prompted to overwrite, Click 'yes'. Thats it! Nations & Medals Expansion April 13th, 2019 (1st Release) by Menrva >For Strike Fighters 2 games This mod is an extension of the stock ThirdWire _nations.ini file. It adds new nations and respective national decals, missing from the stock game, and it adds numerous medals (made by Capitaine Vengeur and Charles) for the stock countries. Here below a summary of the changes: -Added a number of new service markings decals, for the added nations. -Remade decals for the fictive countries of SF2 to match the default 256x256 resolution of other national decals. -The Mercenary decal no longer shows Dhimari colours; now it's generic and adapt for various scenarios involving mercenaries. -The Soviet Air Force becomes the Russian Air Force since 1992, with proper new decals showing up since 2010. -The Soviet Naval Aviation (Russian Naval Aviation since 1992) has been added as a separate service. -The (Free) Libyan Air Force has been added and becomes active in 2012, in place of the Libyan Arab Republic Air Force. -Biafra and Katanga have been added and are active for a short number of years, as historically accurate. -The Rwandan Air Force has been added, active since 1962, with later finflash showing up since 2002. -The Niger Air Force has been added, active since 1961, with alternative insignia in use since 1980. -The Djibouti Air Force has been added, active since 1977, as historically accurate. -The missing post-Yugoslavia nations, namely Montenegro and Republika Srpska, have been added. -The missing ex-Soviet Union nations of Belarus, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan have been added. -The Irish Air Corps has been added, with alternative decals in use since 1955. -The People's Liberation Army Naval Air Force has been added as a separate service, active since 1953. -The Somali Air Force is known as the Somali Aeronautical Corps before 1960, as historically correct. -The Burkina Faso Air Force is no longer active since 1964, now it's active since 1985; it shows up as the Upper Volta Air Force before 1985. -The Bahrain Amiri Air Force becomes the Royal Bahraini Air Force in 2002, as historically accurate. -Created and added low-vis insignia and finflash textures for the Pakistan Air Force. -Fixed a stock bug in SF2 with the Sultan of Oman's Air Force not being selectable since 1959, as it should be. -Fixed a stock bug in SF2 with the Republic of China (Taiwan) Air Force not using the old roundel as it should be before 1992. -Activated unused low-vis finflash included in stock SF2 for the Canadian Armed Forces. -Other very small changes here and there to other stock nations. -Added new medals for the following nations and respective services: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Cuba, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Egypt, East Germany, West Germany, France, Finland, Greece, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, North Korea, South Korea, North Vietnam, South Vietnam, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Soviet Union, Spain, Sweden, Syria, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States. As radar technology developed, a new Meteor night fighter was developed to use the improved US-built APS-21 system. The NF.12 first flew on 21 April 1953. It was similar to the NF 11 but had a nose section 17 inches (43 cm) longer; the fin was enlarged to compensate for the greater keel area of the enlarged nose and to counter the airframe reaction to the "wig-wag" scan of the radar which affected the gunsighting, an anti-tramp motor operating on the rudder was fitted midway up the front leading edge of the fin. The NF.12 also had the new Rolls-Royce Derwent 9 engines and the wings were reinforced to handle the new engine. Deliveries of the NF.12 started in 1953, with the type entering squadron service in early 1954, equipping seven squadrons (Nos 85, 25, 152, 46, 72, 153 and 64); the aircraft was replaced over 1958–1959. ShrikeHawk -I think ajusted environmentsytem is based on his work. Combat Ace -self explanatory, you guys rock! TK, Thirdwire -for still giving me fun and bugs altogether. This is version 3.0 of my Green Hell mod for SF2:V After doing some work for Wrench's Darwin map, I decided to go fullscale, re-use my older tileset, finish the tod files, adjust several things and release this as part three. In comparision to previous incarnations of the mod that relied on fabulous tileset by Brain32, this one uses different tileset, based on stock one, thus changing the look significantly if you're familiar with GH series. My goal was to create universal tileset for South East Asia terrains. Also, as with every new patch old rendering bugs remain unchanged [:(] I decided to change the way of populating tiles, whidh is clearly visible in the jungle areas. No more large clusters of trees, replaced with smaller individual trees to minimize the possibility of rendering errors. As a bonus included are new environment system (based on great fork by ShrikeHawk) with reduces size of clouds and increased minimum altitude of these, to further minimize famous "trees vs clouds" rendering errors. Also I added new menu screens with GH3 theme I use in my SF2V install.
