13 pointsI had some days with not publishing much of my WIPs, but I have been busy adding details, please, if you find errors, feel free to correct me :D And at the end I may have a question for @gepard What is that lever for?

6 pointsG'Day all, I am getting close to release for the latest updates and additions that I have made to the C-130s. Please vote on if you would like updates to the current packs and a new add on pack or a complete package. Regards Dels

2 pointsThe answer came fast. They say: " Das ist der Hahn für die Luftversorgung der Flugzeugführerkabine. " which translates into " This is the lever for the air supply to the aircraft cabin."

2 pointsIt’s unnecessary to feel that bad/sad about this step, because if they don’t do it, something even sadder will happen (someday you try to log in and see a huge 404).

2 pointsThis is the problem concisely. If you put an obstacle in front of people, they will use every means necessary, thought of and not, to circumvent that obstacle. I call it rat in a maze syndrome if that's even proper terminology. Just like the southern border wall in the United States, if you build it twenty-five feet tall there will be a store that opens on the other side selling twenty-six feet tall ladders. If you build the same wall with a footing ten feet deep, someone will tunnel eleven feet under it. If you build the same wall fifty feet tall with an unscalable surface constructed out of concrete and rebar, someone will grow a giant sequoia tree next to it, wait fifty years and use it to scale the wall. There is no obstacle that can't be overcome, that is the genius behind brain cells.

2 pointsWork on the Iberian Penninsula/NW Africa map rebuild from OP Pelayo is taking much longer than expected/anticipated. Due to recent events my motivational index has dropped into single digit territory. It's also a bit difficult to find 'what goes where' with respect to the various industires in Portugal, Spain, Morocco and Algeria. OTH, all the airports have been redone with deep details. All runways have been repaved and repainted (you can actually SEE the lines now!!) Rest assured I'll get back to it sometime as soon as the shitstorm passes. The Indian Air Force Fitter A's should be out next week

1 pointPossibly to someone this post will seem unnecessary, but that's the way things are... who lives in an economic paradise to share with us the tip and we change the issue by massive purchase of airline tickets... Certainly the world has been in an economic crisis for a long time and it is not strange that the crisis hits even our beloved meeting point, my proposal is that we put aside the differences and contribute ideas that sustain the site beyond the economic capabilities to afford or not to afford a subscription. My proposal focuses on 3 points: Rates Contribution Diffusion Fees: I see that the real problem of the 10 dollars (for example) is not simply if I don't have it to pay now, but if I do I can't assure you 10 dollars every month... while the monthly fee if it could be reconsidered a value less we could many access to a more lasting fee to contribute over time. Contribution: The contribution of material could be an alternative way out for members who contributed or contribute to the site, whether we like it or not without new material the site loses interest, and thanks to the material new subscriptions will be encouraged. Diffusion: The diffusion of the site will be key to attract new subscriptions. Every member can support the diffusion of the site in social networks or related communities, this could have incentives such as prizes either in subscription quotas or access to exclusive material. Alternatively, you can also make a space of exclusive material for subscriber customers, which can eventually be released over time but guaranteeing early access in exchange for subscription. You can also grant free access to certain material on the site, in an effort to be promotional and allow new users to get to know and promote the site based on their experience. Extended accounts can be raffled among subscribers of the same more economical accounts. You can raffle courses or tutorials of modifications so that new users are encouraged to collaborate with new material and eventually get savings based on contributions. It would be good if Erik could make transparent the approximate expenses required by the site just to estimate a goal to achieve with all the actions. I have many things in my mind, but according to the time change I am getting sleepy, according to your comments I will be unlocking and remembering other ideas as well, I remain very attentive to other proposals or suggestions or constructive criticism.

1 pointUnfortunately I think that will land Erik back in the same position... instead of people exhausting their previous 5 downloads a day and then making duplicate accounts, they would now do it after only 1-2 downloads creating a bigger multi-account problem. A lower download cap won't fix the problem sadly, what is needed is revenue generation to cover the operating costs.

1 pointI found a small mistake on my suburb tiles: "Willow creek". Funny. If you want to know, where Willow Creek is located: The red button west of Detroit

1 pointPosing for a photo... Loving the AV-8B Plus, so many fine details, and would love the TAV-8B too, if/once it is released.

1 pointI just entered here because I thought the Nuclear Option refers to solving CA's financial problems.

1 pointWell Happy Belated New Year and all, but not much is expected from me, other than a project (which is a Super Hornet project) with Soulfreak, GKABS, and ravenclaw_007. I'm not doing much other than textures for the birds, so it's Soulfreak's project, not mine. I think when I mention it GKABS gets a little confused with which project I'm talking about, so I'll mainly show skin work from this one. The good news is that I still have to work on my own project, which will be within two weeks or so, as I'm mainly doing Arma 3 work instead of anything else really. I can mod stuff in that game so I gravitate to something that I can actually work with rather than be hampered by my inability to use 3DSMAX or Blender. Frankly the files that I have (the source files) are either .max or .3ds, and while I could probably import it into Object Builder, I don't think it will work out with what I want to do, or buckle down and find a copy of 3DSMAX and Blender is easy to get since it's free more or less. With the change of payment plan that has affected the site I'm not sure what I'm doing with my stuff in regards to the suggested pricing of the mods. It's only speculative right now, and right now the firm issue is that you have to pay a subscription to download mods, and that includes all of my stuff (and everybody else's of course). If they move into a price per mod system, I'll try and keep it low so it's not like you have to sell body parts for a skin or whatnot. Again I don't know what's going on with Erik other than what has been brought up recently. But if he takes the suggestion that users pay for individual mods then again I'll try and keep it reasonable if I do have a say in pricing. If not then don't bring the pitchforks against me due to abstract pricing, but again it's speculative and so on, so I know much about the way things are headed just like you. Anyway, I hope to improve the Super Hornet stuff in the future, just have to find the right time and place to do it, as I still have stuff to tweak and so on, but not much since the last upload for the Super Hornet stuff.

1 pointAlways loved the Tonka, especially the lines of the F3/ADV. Getting the full experience so far in this ODS campaign. Flying CAP and intercepts around KSA while the Americans go up north and bag Saddam's air force

1 pointHeyo, first time messaging here but i think this is quite disappointing because I got into SF2 last year after a few friends recommended it for me and i had a lotta fun with NATO Fighters, ODS and some other mods. Its a shame that this happened but its fair enough after reading about the reason behind it. Wish there was some other way and I will definitely be keeping an eye of Combatace but I can't justify another subscription. Thanks for extending the amount of fun i had with SF2 and I hope you all the best in the new year, hopefully you will find another way to let people like me who wont pay for a subscription download mods but yea. Godspeed everyone and thanks again for the mods 07.

1 pointWelcome to the CA clan, That's unfortunate timing... but you can probably figure out by yourself that there will be no exceptions to the (new) rules. It has been a long time coming, and 'labour of love' doesn't pay bills... You can still do a 1 month subscription to give it a try. It doesn't break the bank and gives you the trial you want, and also you add a bit of moolah to the piggy bank. Enjoy your stay and enjoy your game.

1 pointForty four years ago this weekend (or 83 years?) The USS Nimitz Battle Group experiences an electrical phenomenon. While details are still highly classified, it has long been rumored that VF-84 managed to get teh last two kills by the USN over the IJN...

0 pointsYep, seriously. I thought the topic was something more relative to CA so I clicked it only to find out it was about another game you've been watching YouTube videos on. I laughed and typed "click bait" with a thumbs up emoji. You then send me a PM telling me to delete your account. SMH
