ja.. WENN du auch low-res modelle für den flieger machst.... ansonsten wirds ziemlich mau mit fps wenn mehrere auf einmal ( 4 + ...)herumkurven .. siehe RAZPAN flieger .. habn alle ne menge polys aber keine low-res lod's

für die alten spiele wars 5000 für cockpit und 10000 für die flieger (F-4) , TK's standard modelle. dürfte sich mittlerweile verdoppelt haben für SF2 usw optimal.. hängt halt von der individuell verfügbaren technik ab krass edit: TMF flieger haben so um die 15000 - 20000 oder ein paar mehr .. je nachdem ...

"Clashes" is a must read, its all about USAF, USN and VPAF tactics, weapons deployment/development, Electronic Warfare etc. Very interesting and it has many accounts of air combats all through the text, it doesnt get boring to read. Another Vietnam related book which is not on yourlist is "scream of Eagles" by Wilcox ... its about how the USN realized that they must use better tactics with the big smokey F-4 to beat the small MiG ... its the story of how Top Gun came to life and how the lessons worked in the skies over Vietnam... a very interesting read! I have all the Thud related books of your list, and can say that all are very good.. many interesting stories. Of all, I like "When Thunder Rolled" best, because its written by a (back then)junior officer , which has a very interesting view on Thud flying over the north. "Palace Cobra" is the sequel in which he returns for another tour in 1972, Flying the F-4 this time. Also a very interesting read... I'd say you wait until the patch for SF2I is out ( theres usually a patch released after a couple of weeks to fix the most important things) Many things are often tweaked even further in the patch, so you could end up doing all work twice.

Yep, that OLD free F-104 and its pit should be fair game. But extracting any of the new F-104's from Strike Fighters 2 Europe etc. and sharing them is forbidden.

LOD files are the "big" stuff, the main thing... the aircraft and cockpits, tanks and all other objects. If somebody starts to distribute that stuff for free.. go figure... there would be no need for anyone to buy new TW games if he can download the essential stuff... Skins, Decals and INI's can be shared IF they are changed/modded. LOD's cant be changed legally and thus cant be shared.
