and you MISSED the EvilDamnCommBuilding?????? ======= On an equally silly note found under "Oddball things you see on terrains"

in the meantime, maybe as a stop-gap measure, data ini edits could raise/increase the armor protection. I'd double the thickness, and make sure TITANIUM is used. Apparently, that's the strongest material we have in game. I remember when doing the up-armoring for the original Desert Strom mods, it took 3 rounds from a T-72 to kill an Abrams

Small progress report --- Cadiz, and the Bay of. San Fernando in the distance, and Puerto Real to the left. Unfortunately, there's not enough room (tile wise) to add Puerto de Santa Maria, which I'd really like to. Given the historical significance, as Columbus sailed from there. I'll try and figure something out. (and yes, I do know the penninsula is faaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrr to fat!!!)

Yeah, this works. Did some minor upgrading, minor tweeks. I'll leave any of the major (non 3D) fixes to any/all of our naval engineers ... I just dropped it into the bay; as you can see, there's not port or naval facilities as of yet . Just wanted to make sure it showed in game

that should work!! Dummy me didn't even think to look in 1stGens! Thought everything had already been converted! Thanks Gunrunner!

oh, poop! I wanted to have it in=port when I build the Rota Naval Station .. Oh well. Maybe I'll just stick a US boat there!
-
I know we have the Dedalo , but I swear I've seen the Príncipe de Asturias somewhere. Or am I just high?? If we do have (and I've looked!), can someone point me in the right direction? TIA!

Pretty good. Still not fully comfortable with how 11 handles folder structure (10 was easier to find, in my opinion), but it has only been about 2 weeks. The thing is FAST!!! So, overall, I'm liking it!

I can't find the Yakarov version, but looking at the original Sabre Dog -- in the "DetectSystem" section, find the MaxVisibleDistance line. I thinks it set waaaaaay to small! (500!!!!). Change it to like 8500, and test again. That's distance in meters from your eyeballs, and it just might be cloaking itself!!

Unfortuately, Kev, I don't. Never had any. If he's still around, maybe check with Pete Fredrico (pappychksix). He'd done some skins 'way back in the day.

There simply isn't enough way to say "Thank You" to those that gave everything.

hmm... try this. Copy/paste the skyscraper lod "up and down" into the terrain folder, and rename to "Hochhaus1_col.lod" . Edit the types ini accordingly, and retest. If that works, do the same to the other skyscrapers. That's all I got!!! ??? Blade: love to know how you got "solid" trees. (did you take them from FE?? I know they have a tree lod in their terrain cats)
-
Yep, need a Col mesh, just like some of the add-on ships need(ed). The example method Blade gave works! Here's a stock example: mind you, some (many?) stock building have a collision lod already

They're in the Games folder. I still haven't rebuild the WW2 mods folders (MTO, ETO, PTO) or KAW. Along with any naval sims (Atlantic Feet only at the moment) I have this aversion to a cluttered desktop. BTW, I looked up the "recommended" native rez for the monitor, --!!!!! 2550 x 1440 !!!!!! don't think these old eyes can handle that!!
-
Got the majority of my SF2 stuff loaded on the new machine, and went back to work on the Espana map. Had to make some height field adjustements, so use the TFD tool. At the rez I'm using (11something by 6 something), I can actually read the frakking numbers like never before!! I know the TFD tool doesn't have a high rez, but this is finally what I can use, without resorting to a magnifying glass to read it!!! LOL!! I may be starting to like this monitor ...

Thanks Mark! It's a Sauder that Pat and I bought in the late 80s!!! Believe that baby!! Other than wear and tear, it's still holding up!!!

I FINALLY found the mod folders -- did a smart thing for once. Opened the shortcut, and looks in Properties for the pathway. Got so used to having the mod folders ABOVED the /C, I didn't think to look there. Now, just have to run the installer for all them, THEN yank the HD out of the old machine, and use that very cool adapter kit, and transfer all the bits and pieces over. That's gonna take days!! Then, but the HD back in the old machine, and carry on. The eye stuff, is well, a nightmare. Y'all know the right one has had issues since 2013, when my cornea "delaminated" (cell layer seperation), Long story short, there's damage to optic nerve, loosing 30% of the field. They can't do a refraction (measuring visiion) because the distortions of the corneal surface (even after multiple surgeries) . Without the Prose Scaleral contacts (they sit on the white of the eye, not on the cornea as normal ones do) that right eye is just along for the ride. I can see with it, but it 's like an unfocused camera.

Damn website, keeps either not loading or double posting ... I'll fix that in a bit here's the machine (just ignore all the crap -- i'm a terrible housekeeper)
-
On my new machine, just ran the install for the 'all is everything SF2 exe", and found the ThirdWire/SF2/ in the /Documents folder -- but where is everything else?? The only thing inside, was a /Screenshot sub-folder. Is this a case it's totally clean and everything has to be added? It's been 20+ years since I started, so I may have forgetted a few things .... (overall, the machine is nice, but I'm really NOT liking the widescreen monitor. Can't find a rez that suits my fucked up eye(s). And gotta turn the damn internal lights off, too. OTH, I did manage to save a few buck by partly disassembling the computer desk)

Do they have a destroyed model as well? Newly built, or using one of the existing ones (like Hangar3, or HQBuilding, etc). That's always been my pet peeve -- not enough destroyed building models. If not, I'd like to suggest some of the destroyed models from Wingwinner's building packages. They're good ones.
