You need to work on your Read Me files. In fact, you NEED to INCLUDE them in your uploads. Not only to give the downloader insturctions on installation (and gods help us, there's folks here that need it), but how about giving credits where credits are due to the original modders??? In fact, that goes for all you recent uploads. Site rules are a read me file MUST be included for every upload.

View File SF2 F-86F-40 Sabre, Portuguese Air Force Skin Pack SF2 F-86F-40 Sabre, Portuguese Air Force Skin Pack 8/7/2025 -For SF2, Any and All (Full Merged Recommended) This is a NEW skin for the F-86F-40 Sabre. It is designed to be used on the SF2 F-86F-40 pack available here at CA. This set represents Portuguese Air Force (Forca Aerea Portuguesa) # 51 Squadron (later renumbered to 201) in approx. 1958, when they started receiving their Sabres. You get 24 historically accurate decals; all have been positively identified as having served in 51/201 Squadron (excepting the very last 2; they're generics). The skin is in jpg format, and decal randomization is TRUE. All markings are decals, excepting the painted squadron color bands on the wingtips, stab tips, and vert fin. The SF2 date switch is NOT used, however the "startdefaultdate=" is set to 1958. Hopefully it works as advertised. On the skin selection menu, on the Loadout Page, you'll see: Esq 51 (201) Falcons As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. actually, this thread is in "The Pub", where just general things are discussed. New, views, babes, etc. To post about a specific game, please post directly in that game's Forum and sub forurms. With that in mind, I'm going to move this entire thread INTO the SF2 General Forum -
View File SF2 A-7P Corsair II (TMF) FAP Pack SF2 A-7P Corsair II (TMF) FAP Pack 8/4/2025 -For SF2, Any and All (Full 5 Merged Suggested) This is a rebuild of TMF's A-7A Corsair II to the A-7P versions as used by the Portuguese Air Force's No. 302 Squadron "Falcons". This, like the Real Life (tm) version, uses the "A" body upgraded with "E" bits. This includes the cockpit and avionics. That is to say, I've (re)used the TMF A-7E cockpit and avionics for this mod. If, for whatever reason, you dislike the TMF cockpit, I've provided the inis and instructions herein to switch over to the stock 3W A-7E_78 cockpit and avionics inis. So, you'll need whichever SF2 game version gave us the A-7E_78 (disremember which one) This mod is set up and labeled to cause =NO= conflicts with the 3rdWire DLC A-7P, as this carries a unique name (see below). Skins remain in their original bmp format, in their original size and resolution. All markings are decals. Decal Randomization is TRUE. The skin is provided with 18 historically correct serial number decals. The necessary items provided are drop tanks and pilot seat. Weapons used are all stock in-game items. If I missed anything, PLEASE let me know and I'll try to get it fixed. . The canopy operates with the Standard Animations Keystroke (tm), Shift/0 (zero). The wing fold is operated by Shift/9 (nine). The refueling probe operates with the Shift/3 (three) keystroke. When in-game, on the Aircraft Selection Drop down you'll see: A-7P Corsair II (TMF) So you can't mistake it for anything other than what it is. This will also differentialize THIS one from the Third Wire DLC, if you happen to have it. As always fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. The original readme is included. The 'Change Log' is, of course, in the Notes section below. Good Hunting & Happy Landings! WIP Mega THREAD!
Wrench replied to ErikGen's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Forgot to mention, I just discovered an unfinished EDA Sabre skin from 2012!!!!! (better, of course than the one already here) (really? only 7 serial per aircraft? too lazy to look up the rest??). Even though my serials a just generic .... Also found out we don't have a Portuguese Sabre skin either!! Now, I've got to run down their paint scheme (colored tails for ?? squadron), and the serials. Doncha love modding? Making sure folks that'll download a terrain that's not even finished, have all the right birds??? -
WIP Mega THREAD!
Wrench replied to ErikGen's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
in the works, and coming soon (designed for when I finish the Iberia map) NEW!!! Completely rebuilt and more accurate C.15 Hornet for EDA. The mod from 2009 is udder shite, even though this is based off that old one. vastly improved with things that actually work as advertised (!!!). F-16AM for PoAF, nation specific. lots of new 'fiddly bits' A-7P for PoAF. Yes, I know there's a DLC for that, but we've got plenty of cheapass MFs around that won't buy a subscription, let alone a DLC from TK/3rdWire. (both seen recently in the "Transitions" screen shots thread) Both the F-16 and A-7P are based off TMF's birds (A-7A with A-7E cockpit and electronics). -
Actually, I just adapted them from a SF1 mod by Tannenthal. He gets all the original credit. Looking good on DRV!!! ======== re: sideways sampan. Pretty sure the 'world center' is probably off. I have a cargo ship that does the same thing. Maybe try moving the 'thrust angle' 90 degrees to the direction of motion? Or remove the ship wake effect? (tell folks as it's under sail, it tacking with the winds?)

using the layout of the original, plus some old maps I found, and not a little guesswork, and Gepard's skills , I think it came out pretty damn good. I have to send you the static EC-121 (camo) and the target ini's locations for their parking spots. If I may make a suggestion, include an alternative _targets.ini, with the full set of items, for those with higher end machines.

Considering the age of mod; access to DAT "products" (used loosely) was still available. It ain't so any more. They got mad, took their toys and went home. Then built their own version of the Iron Curtain (tm). We don't use their stuff, we don't talk about their stuff, and try not to have any of their stuff (although we do have some ini edits and skins in their own section of the downloads. Use at own risk). In other words, their existence is discouraged. So, now is the time to start learning basic modding, doncha think? If you don't have NA, well, you're just screwed on the Hawkeye. But yes, asking for someone share the LOD, is piracy. No ifs, ands, or butts. We don't condone it and will not tolerate it, and it's stated all over this site and has been for the last 15 years, and iirc, in the 'sign up' for when members join CA. I, personally, give ONE and only ONE warning for thing like this. So, consider that done. Moving along now ...
