  1. haha - the last Government we had would have implemented those bans by now thats for sure Yeah - thats our only hope of a real stealth project isnt it
  2. Typical - theres always someone who has to go one better - the paper planes I used to make never made it across the Classroom!
  3. Forget that - jettison the stores, line up with the runway, descend with the nose down about 10-11 degrees (as per the HUD bars) Keep speed below 300kts all the way down and aim short of the runway, when you are low enough drop the gear and get the nose level - then check how fast you are going - you want to touch down between 160 - 200kts at the start of the Runway, use the rudder (if you have pedals) to straighten up if required, then use the brakes (you have limited braking power btw) Bare in mind that even landing with an engine in Falcon takes a lot more practise than other sims.
  4. Yeah it does work - but only over a clean install of WOE with no mods in it beforehand. For Win 7 - DO NOT install the game in the "program Files" folder, Also right click the exe and set it to run as admin in the compatibility tab.
  5. Sounds like the install is screwed - you would need to start again probably.
  6. You didnt add any mods in did you?
  7. Yeah you can - there are changes that can be made to bring them up to date - http://combatace.com/topic/44026-converting-older-planes-to-work-in-sf2-a-basic-guide-by-migbuster/ although a lot have been converted over already in the SF2 download section
  8. Isnt that DCS Blackshark thing supposed to be amazing - might be hardcore but you can probably tone it down a bit.
  9. Hope you are having a great day :drinks:
  10. [Frontline] Thats where the Frontline starts on the map - represented by a red line usually. I think startshow and endshow just define the visible points from the front line coords [Routes] single missions (and campaigns) use these coordinates to place moving trucks and ships - you can just define your own points - you can add shipping routes also i.e. [Route008] RouteType=SHIPPING StartArea=Mosak <----name from _targets EndArea=Al'Duhok <----name from _targets RoutePosition[001]=472000,486000 RoutePosition[002]=472000,498000 RoutePosition[003]=446000,538000 RoutePosition[004]=422000,552000 To work out the coords - ideally a mission editor is the best thing

    Wish Her Luck

I wish her all the best - hope she makes it
  12. Some nice bits in there
  13. Don't tell me - you shot it down with an AIM-9B
  14. Welcome JDUK - hope you have an enjoyable stay
  15. Andy Bush comparing the TF-104G with the F-104G: The TF carried less internal fuel. We used it in the weapons school for introductory rides...where we verified the student's basic flying skills before turning him loose to fly the single seat model. For example, when starting the air-to-air phase, we wanted to expose the student to both high speed and slow speed flight. The plan was to enter a 30 degree dive from about 20000' and accelerate to as fast as the jet would go...we would level off at about 5000' and then point the jet straight up and let it run out of speed. It wasn't unusual to have the students be apprehensive about flying at high speed and they were particularly wary of very slow speeds (too many accidents in Germany). In the dive, we could get the TF out to about 750KIAS...the TF had more drag than the single seat version because of the canopy. I'd sit in the back and "help" the student stay in the dive until the jet quit accelerating...and then I'd "help" him pull it straight up. I'd make sure he kept the stick neutral until we simply ran out of airspeed...the jet would then flop over and start back downhill. I'd guard the controls again to make sure the guy up front had it under control. All of this was usually accompanied by some heavy breathing from up front!! I used to call this the "Oh ye of little faith" sortie. Other than no gun and a shorter endurance, the TF was quite similar in performance to the F model.
  16. some info here http://www.joebaugher.com/usaf_fighters/f104_15.html
  17. Have a great day
  18. You probably mean an EM chart
  19. Well if you want to know ask at f-16.net - a few ex 16 pilots on there. The nearest we have is Falcon 4 which has about 20 years of hardcore input. You get no rudder authority over 300kts in that - and at low level, low speed even with rudder and a clean F-16D the nose drops too much despite full rudder. in SF2I (Dont have WOI anymore) - clean F-16A - here you get to use rudder way over 300kts - but regardless of <200kts or >300kts speeds the nose still drops too much despite full rudder like the Falcon FM. Unlike the Falcon FM - The SF2 FM requires no elevon movement to keep the jet on the same heading. Unfortunatley the only application for such a pointless sustained manouver would be at an airshow - or if you had to fly down a very narrow star wars trench
  20. Yeah you need to attack it from every angle, just dont fly behind it for more than a second. This is where things like TrackIR are handy. In the F-100D Vs IL-28 scenario I expect maybe 1 or 2 of my AIM-9Bs to go near the target - then get in there for guns - slashing attacks from angles mainly.
  21. One other thing - try downloading files at different times during the day to see if you get any times that are faster - congestion is quite common with some Broadband services. I expect my cheap / naff service to slow down again this winter as more people go online between 07:00 and 10:00.
  22. You probably want to speak to your provider really - whats actually happening - as in details??
