Forum Upgrade Scheduled 10/05/2004
By MadJeff,
Tuesday evening at 5:00pm PDT I will be taking the forum offline for a couple hours while I upgrade it to the new version. I'll be making a complete database backup and then doing the upgrade, so we should lose nothing. If the transition does not go smoothly I will roll the DB back to the backup and bring the old system back online.

Welcome new staffers!
By MadJeff,
Even though I've been swamped at work the past few weeks, I've been doing a little behind-the-scenes work recruiting. I would like to introduce some new Biohaz staffers to the fold, most of which I'm sure you will recognize.
First up is VVanks, who is going to help out with news, graphics, and other assorted odds and ends he doesn't know about it. ;) VVanks has been a longstanding member of the flight sim community, and I'm sure you've seen his name around the different forums such as the Ubi LOMAC scene. He's also a great talent for graphics, as you can see on his site at http://wyn.vze.com/.
Buff and Eric2020 are both well-known Project-1 fans and will be helping out on that front, as I just can't keep up with all the mods and such by myself. Eric runs the Strike Fighters Yahoo group as well as maintains the Project-1 Resource Listing. Buff, we just hired him for his looks... :P
Last but not least, we have a newcomer to our site, Mongoose. While fairly new to Biohaz, you've probably seen him around the web as well. He brings a wealth of news experience, as he has a background in broadcast journalism, and was active in radio for 28 years. Mongoose not only has experience gathering and writing news, but was also involved in commercial production and script writing. God knows we could use some experience around here... :D
So, everyone give the new staffers a warm Biohaz welcome! I know I am personally very happy to have them all aboard, and am greatful that they've stepped up to help. Thanks guys!
Server Issues
By MadJeff,
We seem to be having some server issues the past few days and we have been up and down. I have a ticket in to my webhost, and will keep everyone appraised until it is resolved. I apologize for the downtime folks...
File Area Back Online... Finally!
By MadJeff,
After a month of fighting with a conversion script, we have finally migrated all the old files from the old e107 site into the new site and they are now available for your downloading pleasure. The only change is that you now must be a registered member of BiohazCentral to have access. For those of you that have not created an account here, it's easy and (best of all) free.
I still have some work to do however, as I still have another 200+ files to import from the old Postnuke site that never got migrated over, which includes a lot of Strike Fighters stuff. I'll be working on that over the next few days, but it should be relatively easy since the hard work is now done.
I want to take a moment to thank VisualDensity over at www.visualdensity.com for his help in creating a workable conversion script, without him it would have taken me forever to get this damn thing working. Thanks!
New Biohaz Online Chat
By MadJeff,
It's been up for a day or so, so I thought I would point out the new online chat room I installed. It's on the top right menu under BioChat.
I've had some requests for a chatroom and so I'm looking at several right at the moment, but this was a quick and easy InvisionBoard addon I thought I would try. Take it for a test spin and see how you like it.
