This is a mod to where Hawk SAM's work in Strike Fighters.
I modified the distance the missile goes and the radar on the SAM Site itself.
It works really good now. I have been hit three times over a 20 mile distance.

PLEASE READ THE README!!! IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! Happy Evade-ing!!!

    2. English Wingman Speech Pack Beta-1

English Language Wingman Sound Mod by Adam Burch

      Installation:
Simply place the contents of the Speech folder in the zip file into your wov/woe/woi speech folder. Backup your Speech folder first.

      Notes:
      1. All 3 wingman voices are the same for now, but I believe them to be slightly less annoying. You may disagree, hence; BACKUP YOUR SPEECH FOLDER prior to installation!
2.Some callsigns have been changed, Awacs is now DARKSTAR, reflecting more modern AWACS call signs. A forthcoming AWACS speech pack will address the AWACS voice.
3.The radio may be a bit loud for you It comes in loud and clear over my (quiet) engine noises, so you may want to turn down your sound effects. I never really needed to hear much beyond my sidewinder tone and RWR anyway. All other speech is quiet by comparison.
      4. This is a BETA release, so please email or PM me with any problems or suggestions, just remember: It's a BETA!

All other speech packs forthcoming. (i.e. when I bloody well get to 'em!) :)

      Enjoy!

    8. Major Lee's American Northwest Jungle terrain

Here is Major Lee's ANW green terrain. I've set this up to be a stand alone terrain also. To install, unzip the file and copy a terrain.cat file into the newly created ANWgreen folder, renaming the cat file to ANWgreen.cat. Then place the ANWgreen folder in your Terrain folder. You should be good to go. Again, please don't credit me with any of this, the terrain is ALL Major Lee's work.

I've been having problems uploading files to CombatAce for some reason, they keep crapping out on my. If you don't see a screenshot with my uploads, that's a good indication it's a bad upload. Hopefully CA will get this problem figured out, in the meantime I'll keep trying to get them posted.

    12. F7U Cutlass

      Vought F7U-3M Cutlass by MarcFighters

      A Stand-Alone aircraft for SF/WoV/WoE/WoI

This is a General Release of Marcello's F7U Cutlass Beta -(minus), as such it IS an incomplete aircraft, with many parts of the physical model either non-functional (ie: control surfaces, etc), or semi-functional. Please consider this a "Beta - (minus)" type of release.

It is a complete aircraft, with respect that all the bits needed to unzip and fly away are included. It is fully carrier capable, and has been tested off various US carriers.

I've tried to do what I can, with ini edits and other 'tweeks' to make it more functional. I don't think they came out too bad. We can only hope that in the future, Marcello releases a finished version. I'm doing this, simply because many people want this aircraft in their stable, even with all the warts still on it :) I hope Marcello dosen't mind!!
So, please take this in the spirit given.

Said data ini edits make the aircraft fully carrier capable (!!), via a ''virtual'' tail hook. A full cockpit, based off the F-4Bs in included, as are all the inis. The avionics ini includes an audio-only RWR, beeping ONLY on the 'track sound'. These are basically missile-armed interceptors, with 2 of the 4 20mm guns removed. As such, it is still a fully capable ground attack aircraft, carrying rocket pods and bombs.

It has a new skin, representing F7U-3Ms from VA-116 , aboard USS HANCOCK during the 1957 time frame. It's one of the few squadrons that painted their aircraft in the gull-gray/white scheme; most of the Cutlass' were left natural metal. The skin was created from a template I drew up, based on the UVmaps supplied in the original limited release in 2006 (?). Templates ARE included, as I'm not real happy with the skin in some respects; it needs further work and there are some bits on the map I can't figure out. So, if any other skinners want to have a crack at cleaning it up; have at it my brothers and sisters!!! :) Panel lines need some additions, small vent details, etc, etc, etc.

New, historical decals are included for 25 aircraft; modex numbers and BuNums that ARE 100% accurate, as they are real serial numbers as issued by the US Navy BuAer. Those marked with a star (*) in the number list are actual aircraft from VA-116; the other are fill-ins. Meaning, I could find a listing (read: photo) of the others.

It is set up to use the Bunyap Pak, as only it contains the VERY early Sparrow missiles, and the drop tanks. I've set it to use the drop tanks from FoxMontor's F3H Demon, as they have nearly the proper shape and size. Loadout configurations are a 'best guess' in some cases; there is an extra set of pylons built into the aircraft, that I've used for rocket pods in the CAS and Armed Recon mission assignments. In real life, the -3M that this 'represents', only had the fuselage and wing stations. So, consider this something between the F7U-3M and A2U, even though the A2U never went beyond a planning stage, and had 4 more stations for air-to-ground ordanance.

A revamped, newer, cleaner version of my really old Cutlass Hangar Screen is included.

It it advised that if you are using the Mirage Factory Pak, that you copy/import the necessary early style weapons. I've supplied all the necessary bits; they and the accompanying text file with the weapons' data, are in the /weapons folder in the "xtra_stuff" folder.

As it is a complete aircraft, it should also be usable in WoI, although this particular aircaft has not been tested as such -- BE ADVISED, that WoI handles flight models differently, and I (and the folks that originaly built this) cannot be responsible for "adverse handling conditions, leading to uncontroled flight into terrain". Be that as it may, it should work passably! However, it's my considered opinon, that it NOT be used in WoI.

As usual, read the enclosed readme, all the necessary instructions are included. As well as an extensive Notes & Comments section. Many explainations, hints, other informative goodies are there!

With thanks to Marcello for putting this out several years ago, and wishing him a speedy recovery. This one's for you man!

      Enjoy!

All credit for these skins goes to their creators as detailed below. All I've done is to re-format them for SF\WOV\WOE and add a textureSet to each skin.

Not all of the countries for which we have skins are included in the standard NATIONS.ini list, so I've left those as Soviet. It doesn't make any difference to the skins' appearance as there are no decals to worry about. If you have the New Nations mod that includes these missing countries then feel free to modify the relevant TextureSet.

All you need to do is to extract the skin to your Objects\Aircraft\Mi-24 folder, then go fly and blow up some stuff.

Thanks must go to the A Team for making the Mi-24 for SF\WOV\WOE, Tim Conrad for the original Mi-24V, and of course TK for giving us these great sims to play with.

This skin is based on Javier Montes' textures.

    19. A-7E Hangar and Loading Screen Pack

Here is another HL pack this time for the A-7E Corsair II.

The ultimate goal is to use these packs in the campaign I am developping, therefor you will also require this skin: Hellenic Corsair.

      Installation is easy:
      1/ download the addon aircraft
      2/ download the extra skin
3/ extract the files of this pack to the aircraft folder (overwritting the A-7E.ini, necessary to allow swapping between hangar and loading screens)

For further details and explenation of this technique of using multiple screens can be found in the enclosed readme.

    24. Major Lee's America Northwest Winter terrain

      This is Major Lee's America Northwest terrain mod with the winter tile set. I'm posting it because of all the requests I'm getting for it since Lee's site is still down and it's no longer available. The only changes to this terrain is the addition of some SAM sites and the sticky runway at Elk airfield being fixed. And it's been set up to be a complete stand alone terrain mod minus the CAT file. The Dogfight.ini file has been edited to make a better dogfight in multiplay action. Other than that it should all be original. I've tested this using the various CAT files in SF, WOV, WOE, and WOI in each of the games and everything seems to work fine. The following is a copy of the readme file that's contained in the zip which includes credits and install directions;

      Doghouse Notes:

This is Major Lee's America Northwest Terrain mod, slightly edited. I have included my SAM site mod to it, and fixed the sticky runway problem at Elk airfield. I'm posting this at CombatAce because Major Lee's site is down and have been receiving a lot of requests from people to provide it. I've set the zip file up so installation should be a very simple process. This mod was originally done for Strike Fighters, but will work with the WOV, WOE and WOI cat file as well. I've set this up to be a new terrain, seperate from Lee's other versions, so you can have all of them in your terrain folder at once. This is Major Lee's work, please don't credit me with any of it.

      Major Lee's Aerodrome
      20JULY2003

American Northwest training and development map (500 km x 500km).

TO INSTALL THE FILES: (Edited by Doghouse) (Back up any files you don't want to change permanently)

1: Extract the zip file. The appropriate terrain folder will be created.
2: If using Strike Fighters: Copy/Paste "desert.cat" from the Desert folder into the ANWwinter folder and rename "desert.cat" to "ANWwinter.cat".
If using Wings Over Vietnam: Copy/Paste "VietnamSEA.cat" from the VietnamSEA folder into the ANWwinter folder and rename "VietnamSEA.cat" to "ANWwinter.cat".
If using Wings Over Europe: Copy/Paste "GermanyCE.cat" from the GermanyCE folder into the ANWwinter folder and rename "GermanyCE.cat" to "ANWwinter.cat".
If using Wings Over Israel; Copy/Paste "IsraelME.cat" from the IsrealME folder into the ANWwinter folder and rename "IsraelME.cat" to "ANWwinter.cat".
3: Place that folder in your game's Terrain folder. You should be good to go.

      TO USE IN-GAME:
Select Single Mission, "Create Mission" then under the Mission Map drop down list under section I, select "AmerciaNW Winter".

      ERRATA:
There is no water, so don't select anti-ship missions.

There is no campaign; I welcome anyone who wants to please write one!

AI may have issues with the terrain at times.

You might have issues with the terrain too, especially if you select Inclement weather option...

This is a map meant that is meant to be somewhere fun to fly. It is also meant to be useful for prosepective modders to learn to write INIs and place objects.

If you develop an interesting INI for this map, please send it to me and I will post it at the Aerodrome for all to enjoy.

Please do not post this set at other websites.

      Enjoy, Major Lee.
