      Mirage 5BD

The Dassault Mirage III is a family of single-seat, single-engine, fighter aircraft produced by Dassault Aviation for the French Air Force and widely exported. Prominent operators included Australia, Argentina, South Africa and Israel, as well as a number of nonaligned nations. Though an older design, the second generation fighter is still a fairly maneuverable aircraft and an effective opponent in close range dogfighting. In French service it was armed with air-to-ground ordnance or R.550 Magic air-to-air missiles.

The versatility of the design enabled production of trainer, reconnaissance and ground-attack versions as well as the Dassault Mirage 5, Dassault Mirage IIIV and Atlas Cheetah variants. A Mirage III was the first European combat aircraft to exceed a speed of Mach 2 in horizontal flight.

    2. B-66B SF2x

The B-66B was developed strictly as a tactical bomber and was the last bomber of this type procured by the USAF. The -B model was based on the RB-66A which was in turn adapted from the US Navy A3D Skywarrior. The B-66B made its first flight on 4 January 1955, about 6 months after the initial flight of the RB-66A. The USAF received its first production aircraft in March 1956 and deliveries continued into 1958.

The B-66B was the first USAF bomber designed with in-flight refueling (IFR) capability, although many (numerically) earlier bombers were fitted with IFR equipment as a retrofit modification or on later models in the development cycle.

A total of 62 B-66B bombers were built. Many -B models were converted to electronic warfare aircraft after their usefulness as bombers was complete. Many of these aircraft, designated as EB-66B or EB-66E, served in Sotheast Asia during the Vietnam war.

    3. SAAF Canberras

In 1963 the South African Air Force (SAAF) procured six B(I) Mk.12 Canberra interdictors and three T. Mk.4’s from Britain.
Initially the Canberra was seen as an interim measure until the arrival of Hawker-Siddeley Buccaneers in 1965.
The SAAF used the B(I) Mk.12 as bombers and interdictors over a 27 year period.
The SAAF T.4 had Glass nose too alongside the solid nose ones.

      Tu-104
The Tupolev Tu-104 (NATO reporting name: Camel) was a twin-engined medium-range narrow-body turbojet-powered Soviet airliner and the world's first successful jet airliner. Although it was the sixth jet airliner to fly (following, in order, the British Vickers Type 618 Nene-Viking, de Havilland Comet , Canadian Avro Canada C102 Jetliner, US Boeing 367-80 and French Sud Caravelle), the Tu-104 was the second to enter regular service (with Aeroflot) and the first to provide a sustained and successful service (the Comet which had entered service in 1952, was withdrawn from 1954-1958 following a series of crashes due to structural failure). The Tu-104 was the sole jetliner operating in the world between 1956 and 1958.

    5. SF2 Korean War Era F-86F "GunVal" Sabre Pak

SF2 Korean War Era F-86F "GunVal" Sabre Pak

      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: There is a distinct probability that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs at any patch level, due to the extensive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment. End Users ™ that attempt it, do so at their own risk. A Full 5 Merged install is reccomened at the LATEST patch level.*

The pack represents the experimental "GunVal" (Gun Evaluation) Sabres as used during the later part of the Korean War.

These differ from standard, or garden variety A/E/F models in have 4 20mm cannon instead of 6 50 caliber machine guns. They were only used for a short time (53-54) before being retired, having proved the concept (the data obtained was used on building the F-86H, and possibly US Navy FJ Furys, and the gun itself went on to equip thousands of Century Series fighters).

These aircraft carries the markings of the 335th Fighter Squadron, 4th FIW, where they were used.
Like the other Sabres, this has a brand new skin, built from ravenclaw's beyond superb template. All skins are in jpg format, and Decal Randomization is set to TRUE. Almost all markings are decals, excepting the yellow ID stripes. New DDS damage textures are included. Serial numbers are 100% historically accurate; after all, only 10 of these aircraft were ever built, and it was no great feat to run them down.

Like the other recently released Sabres, an all new, SF2-compliant FM was created for these aircraft; it flys like it should!. There are NO weapons included as everything references something stock 3W (the gun) or what you'll already have the main F-86 Pak (the drop tank).
Mission tasking is limited to A-A ONLY!!! This is a pure air superiority fighter, with NO privisions for the A-G role. The aircraft also uses the same pilot figure and sounds as the KAW Sabre Pak, so be advised, you need the KAW Sabre Pak installed to get the most from THIS pak.

When in-game you'll see "F-86F-2 "GUNVAL" " in the aircraft selection drop-down window.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.

      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged =WITH= SF2I ExpansionPak 1 (Required!!!) =
*Note: you must have SF2I Expansion Pak 1 to gain access to the MiG-15bis lod!! Without it, this mod will do you no good!!*

This is a reskin/nationalization of the stock 3W MiG-15bis Fagot-B for use in a KAW envrionment.
The data ini (FM) is exceedingly close to RealLife. The 'nation name' and userlist have been limited to China and NKorea. Not only will this 'fix' the aircraft to KAW, but it will also NOT be overwritten by patching or the game-generated random re-rwrites that kill all AI-only aircraft made User-Flyable.

There are 2 skins supplied, all in jpg format:
NK2- a generic silver with red nose and fin top
NKSilver- which is my "The Hunters" MiG skin (aka "Casey Jones" 7-11 skin)

Decal radomization is set to TRUE

      When in-game, you'll see

      MiG-15bis "Fagot-B" (NK)

on the aircraft selection drop-down menu.
The window opens with the standard animaion keystroke, shift/0.

    7. OA-4M Skyhawk, for SF2

      OA-4M Skyhawk by triplethr3at/pappychksix/Fracture

      = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

** The Full-4/5 Merged is a requirement, as the A-7D_78 cockpit is referenced for the Mod
      (SF2:E??).
If you don't have these minimum requirements, you shouldn't download this, as you
will not be able to use it.**

This is an overhaul of triplethr3at's SF2 USMC OA-4M Skyhawk FAC/Attack aircraft. All the
inis have been brought up to the latest (as of July, 2012) standard. Some modifications to
the avionics are existant more for 'playability' (meaning: it's far more capable then the
      Real Life ™ aircraft).

Loadouts use all common or garden variety stock 3W weapons. It is set to fly all mission
profiles as any other standard Scooter (with the exception of carrier basing). Decal
randomizations is implemented, and all skin maps are jpg.
The avionics hump, while not fitting quite as nice as I would like, and the
'probe/antenna/blister combo kit' are attached via the Fake Pilot Method ™*
New damage textures (dds) and a new SF2-style hangar screen are included. Data ini
modifications using the 'Remove Component Trick**' eliminate the shadow tractor beams from
the outer pylons as seen on other mods using the TA-4J LOD.

The Threat Library also makes use of dtmdragons' extensively expanded list (not included). A
userlist is included, even though the aircraft has only one User (USMC). SF2NA style Carrier
statements are listed in the Data ini, but commented out; as I was unable to determine if
these ever were flown from The Boats.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So,
please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. More interesting and perhaps
      vital info there, as well.
Triplethr3at's original readme is included for histerical purposes.

    9. Yak-38 Vertical Pack 0.98 beta

      Yak-38 Vertical 0.98 beta

The main reason for me to play Strike fighters 2 is that I can fly a Yak-38 in it )) That how I found this game on the internet. Unfortunately, being an AI plane it was not suitable for player controls... I found Gepard's addon which was the only one out there. It game me a lot of idea I decided to improve the plane's features and game experience. This is a fine tuned or modified collection of everything I could find to improve the plane. Mostly not my work, but I wasted a lot of time to put together and test a working and accurate Yak-38. This was my main and only goal. Try it. Since many things are in testing phase, all feedback is appreciated!

      Install

I tried to include every component I have used with this plane, so it should work with a fresh unmodded SF2 NA. If you have DirX 9 and Win XP (like me), then you also need the IcelandNA modded terrain for XP to be able to play SF2NA on your PC.
Just copy everything into your designated add-on folder and it should work. Beware it may overwrite existing add-on files and components you already have. Check it first, especially weapons.

      Contents

      - Paladrian's MiG-21MF cockpit (temporary solution)
      - Yak-38 VTOL flyable.
      - Yak-38M VTOL flyable.
      - Weapons: OFAB-100, 250, 500 etc from SovietBombPack; Kh-23 missiles, UB-8M, UPK-23 gun pod and MBD2 racks from Ordnance Shop II; APU-60-1 rack from Cocos (not yet in use)
      - Soviet Pacific Fleet skin (Modified stock skin, set as default)
      - Soviet Navy Grey skin (Redrawn stock skin)
      - Soviet Northern Fleet skin (Redrawn stock skin)
      - Soviet Navy pilot Bright orange overalls (Redrawn Red3202 pilot skin)
      - Two loadout.ini for both aircraft, a loadout.VTOL and a loadout.STOL. Overwrite loadout.ini to switch between them as you wish for AI and campaing use.
      - Three Kiev_data.ini's one for STOL and one for VTOL style take offs. Use the VTOL loadout file for the VTOL take-off modded Kiev, for safety reasons. The third INI has a "castrated" take off position #1 (Catapult 1) to enable human player VTOL take-off, for Soviet Navy campaigns and missions.
      - README FILE with FLIGHT MANUAL included

      Fixes

      - Fixed engine thrust vectors and exhaust positions
      - Re-added lift engines to fuselage
      - Fixed number decals position
      - Fixed pylon ordnance positions
      - Fixed Ranging Radar and gun pod's aim point
      - Fixed Kiev class carrier "catapult positions" and AI aircraft take-off. Now they can use all six takeoff positions, and supports vertical takeoff.

      Changes

      - Real thrust data added based on factory data.
      - Yak-38 automatic slats by Gepard
      - New vertical capable flight model, weight and torque balanced airframe.
      - Changed lift engines thrust angle to 80 degrees to the aft.
      - Engine thrust toned down by 10% to reflect real payload lifting capabilities.
      - Realistic payload choices added. Be warned, pylons are physically capable to hold much heavier payload than the plane can take off with. See payload info at the end of file.
      - Modified weapon stations to hold realistic payload
      - Removed plane numbers from 01-09 (Those were in use of Yak-38U two seaters)
      - Modification of plane numbers. Yak-38 tend to have lower numbers, grey 38M's take higher numbers, and extra easter egg))) (roughly to represent real planes)

      Added

      - Reaction control systems to nose, wingtips and aft fuselage.
      - Added gunpod station, exclusively for VSPU-36 (modeled by StationSpecific modified UPK-23)
      - Added choice of droptank (Uses Mig-17 400liter tanks currently)
      - Manual wing fold anim (Animation key 1 - Shift 1)
      - Skins and numbers
      - Dedicated engine sound
      - Yak-38M alternate sights with rangebar and CCIP (MiG-27, Su-25 style) !!BETA!!
      - Yak-38 model without recirculation dams on fuselage (Info from Peter2 and TK)
      - Added Siren-I ECM system to Yak-38
      - Added Gvozdika ECM system to Yak-38M

Kiev class aircraft cruiser new features

      - Kiev_data_STOL.ini for short take offs (default)
      - Kiev_data_VTOL.ini for vertical take offs (recommended for operating helicopters)
      - Kiev_data_Player.ini for disabling Catapult #1 to enable free vertical take off by player aircraft or helicopter.
      - Extra parking places added
      - 6 working launch places (catapults)
      - Fake arrestor cables untouched, they are needed for fake hooks used by AI Yak-38s.

Overwrite Kiev_data.ini with the desired file.

      **************************************************************

      Work in progress list

      - Yak-38M red, blue and white numbers for the late version grey skin to represent actual rare planes.
      - VSPU-36 Gunpod model
      - Avionics refinement for Yak-38M
      - Soviet Desert Camo (Afghanistan) (Redrawn stock skin)
      - Cockpit for both Yak-38 and Yak-38M

      **************************************************************

This mod, like all of its components I used are freeware. Commercial use is prohibited. You can use this pack as part of a bigger pack or campaign set freely.

    10. Yak-23 "Flora"

The Yak-23 was developed as a simple lightweight jet fighter, on Yakovlev's own initiative.
It was a development of the earlier Yak-15 and Yak-17 fighters, retaining their non-conventional layout with a jet engine in the fuselage nose and exhaust under the cockpit, but the construction was all new.
Its wings were derived from the Yak-19.
The Yak-23 used a Soviet copy of the British Rolls-Royce Derwent V turbojet engine, produced as the Klimov RD-500. It first flew on July 8, 1947.
After successful flights, it underwent state trials in 1948 and was accepted for series production.
It was evaluated as highly maneuverable, with a good acceleration and take-off and climb capabilities thanks to high thrust-to-weight ratio.
Faults were poor directional stability at speeds around Mach 0.86 and lack of cockpit pressurization.
Despite being one of the best straight-wing jet fighters, it was inferior to new swept-wing designs.

Mirage IIIO Rose I Pakistan Air Force

Install - Need Update July 2012 and DLC Mirage IIIO

Project ROSE (Retrofit Of Strike Element) was an upgrade programme launched by the Pakistan Air Force to upgrade old Dassault Mirage III and Mirage 5 aircraft with modern avionics. In the early 1990s the PAF procured 50 ex-Australian Mirage III fighters, 33 of which were selected after an inspection to undergo upgrades. In the first phases of Project ROSE the ex-Australian Mirage III fighters were fitted with new defensive systems and cockpits, which included new HUDs, MFDs, RWRs, HOTAS controls, radar altimeters and navigation/attack systems. They were also fitted with the FIAR Grifo M3 multi-mode radar and designated ROSE I. Around 34 Mirage 5 attack fighters also underwent upgrades designated ROSE II and ROSE III before Project ROSE was completed. The Mirage III/5 ROSE fighters are expected to remain in service with the PAF until replacement in the mid-2010s.

This is my version of Kfir C.7 that was left in my folder untouched since 10/2015, believing it would have been included -at least part of it - in Denis Oliveira next release.

I did a similar treatment to Kfir as I did with other releases (e.g. F-8 & F-16), in Data and loadout.inis, as well as created a '89 version. It has a small problem that will be fixed in a later date,

    13. IAI Nesher T

      IAI Nesher T

The Israel Aircraft Industries Nesher (Hebrew: ?, "Vulture" - often mistranslated as "Eagle") is the Israeli version of the Dassault Mirage 5 multi-role fighter aircraft. Most were later sold to the Argentine Air Force as Daggers, and later upgraded as Fingers.

      -Design and development
Israel had to replace more than 60 aircraft lost during the Six Day War and the War of Attrition which followed. Before the war, Israel began co-development with Dassault to build the Mirage 5 and it was eventually built by Israel and named Raam in Hebrew (thunder).

Dassault Aviation had developed the Mirage 5 at the request of the Israelis, who were the main foreign customers of the Mirage III. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) wanted the next version to have less all-weather capability in exchange for improved ordnance carrying capacity and range as the weather in the Middle East is mostly clear.

In January 1969, the French government arms embargo on Israel (in response to the 1968 Israeli raid on Lebanon) prevented the first 30 Mirage 5 aircraft (which were already paid for by Israel) plus optional 20 from being delivered and cut off support for the existing Mirage IIICJ fleet.

This was a setback for the Israeli Air Force, who needed the new Mirage to compensate for the losses of the Six Day War and was still using the Mirage IIIC. Israel then decided to produce the (Raam A and B project) airframes as it had the necessary plans, although Israel did not officially obtain a manufacturing license.

Officially, Israel built the aircraft after obtaining a complete set of drawings. However, some sources claim Israel received 50 Mirage 5s in crates from French Air Force (AdA), while the AdA took over the 50 aircraft originally intended for Israel.

Production began in 1969 with the first empty airframes with no weapons, electronics, seat, or engine included delivered directly from Dassault Aviation. The first Raam A was delivered in May, 1971. In November, 1971 the plane was renamed Nesher.

The Neshers' airframe was identical to the Mirage 5, but there was an extensive refitting of Israeli avionics, a Martin-Baker zero-zero ejection seat, and improved provisions for a wider range of AAMs (Air-to-Air Missiles), including the Israeli Shafrir heat-seeking missile. Fifty-one Nesher fighters (Nesher S) and ten Nesher two-seat trainers (Nesher T) were built in all.

The Nesher had simpler avionics than the Mirage IIIC but was slightly less maneuverable. However, it had longer range and bigger payload. The reduced maneuverability did not prevent the Nesher from performing well in air combat during the Yom Kippur war.

Nesher production was phased out from 1978 to make way for an improved Mirage derivative that had been planned in parallel, in which the Atar engine was replaced by an Israeli-built General Electric J79 engine, the engine used on the American Lockheed F-104 Starfighter and McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II fighters. The result was the IAI Kfir.

      -Operational
Israeli Nesher over the Golan Heights during the Yom Kippur War
The first Nesher prototype flew in September 1969, with production deliveries to the IAF beginning in May 1971, ending in February 1974. These aircraft performed well during the 1973 Yom Kippur War, claiming over a hundred kills.

    14. Vought F8U-1 (F-8A) Crusader for SF2

The first production model of the Crusader was the F8U-1,which was later redesignated the F-8A. It first flew on September 20, 1955, and 318 were built between 1956 and 1958. The initial order had been for 448 aircraft, but the last 130 were delivered as F8U-1Es (F-8Bs). The first thirty aircraft were fitted with the Pratt & Whitney J57-P-12 engine, but this was replaced with the more powerful -4 version and in all subsequent F-8As. The original thirty were then retrofitted with the -4 as well. This made the F-8A a Mach 1.5 aircraft. Other improvements added during the production run included the addition of a retractable in-flight refueling probe in a blister on the forward left side of the fuselage. This was begun with the fiftieth production aircraft, and retrofitted to the earlier airframes. The original Vought ejection seat was replaced with the Martin Baker F5 seat.

The F-8A was armed with four 20mm canon, thirty-two 2.75-inch rockets in a drawer in the lower fuselage, and two Sidewinder missiles could be carried on fuselage stations. The AN/APG-30 gunsight radar and fire control system was installed for weapons delivery. The first aircraft was accepted for service in December 1956, just four years and three months after the issue of the original requirement by the Navy. It was delivered to VF-32 in March, 1957, with VMF-122 being the first Marine squadron to receive the Crusader. The first carrier deployment was with VF-32 on board the USS Saratoga, (CVA-60).

After being replaced with later versions of the Crusader, the F-8As were relegated to training roles, serving as advanced single-seat trainers. The designation TF-8A was often applied to these aircraft.

Your F-8A has early markings for either VA-32 or VF-122. The rocket armament IS INCLUDED but you will not see the drawer open and close.

The Yak-38MP was a project to fit the Yak-38 with a modern radar system. It was intended to arm this plane with R-24 (AA-7C and D) and R-60M (AA-8B) missiles.
The Yak-38MP based on the Yak-38M.

The project was canceled because the Yak-41 Freestyle was expected to enter the service in late 80th.
The same fate had had the Yak-39 project, which was a Yak-38MP with larger wings and afterburner engines which should reach supersonic speeds.

    17. Hawker Sea Fury Fb.11 & Mk. 50

The Hawker Sea Fury was a British fighter aircraft developed for the Royal Navy by Hawker during the Second World War.
The last propeller-driven fighter to serve with the Royal Navy, it was also one of the fastest production single
      piston-engined aircraft ever built.
Exported to a number of countries, it acquitted itself well in the Korean War even against the MiG-15 jet aircraft.

    18. Lockheed NF-104A for SF2

Lockheed NF-104A for Strike Fighters 2

In 1963, three ex-USAF F-104As (56-756, -760, and -762) were taken out of storage at Davis Monthan AFB and modified as NF-104A aerospace training aircraft. All of the military equipment was removed and the original F-104A vertical fin was replaced by the larger fin that was used on the F-104G. The wingspan was increased by four feet (to 25.94 feet) and a set of hydrogen peroxide control thrusters were mounted at the nose, tail, and wingtips. A 6000 pound thrust Rocketdyne LR121/AR-2-NA-1 auxiliary rocket engine was mounted on the tail above the jet exhaust pipe. This rocket engine could be throttled from 3000 to 6000 pounds of thrust, and the burn time was about 105 seconds.

The first NF-104A was delivered on October 1, 1963, with the other two following a month later. They were operated by the Aerospace Research Pilot School at Edwards AFB, which was commanded at that time by Colonel Charles E. "Chuck" Yeager.

On December 6, 1963, the first NF-104A set an unofficial world altitude record of 118,860 feet for aircraft taking off under their own power. The official record at that time was 113,829 feet, set by the Mikoyan/Gurevich Ye-66A, an experimental version of the MiG-21 Fishbed. Later, the same NF-104A flown by Major R. W. Smith reached an altitude of 120,800 feet.

On December 10, 1963, the second NF-104A (56-762), with Chuck Yeager at the controls, went out of control at an altitude of 104,000 feet and fell in a flat spin to 11,000 feet. Yeager managed to eject successfully at that altitude, although he was badly burned on his face by the rocket motor of his ejector seat. The aircraft was destroyed in the ensuing crash. An investigation later showed that the cause of the crash was a spin that resulted from excessive angle of attack and lack of aircraft response. The excessive angle of attack was not caused by pilot input but by a gyroscopic condition set up by the J79 engine spooling after shut down for the rocket-powered zoom climb phase. So it wasn't Chuck's fault.

In June of 1971, the third NF-104A, with Capt. Howard C. Thompson at the controls, suffered an inflight explosion of its rocket motor. Although Thompson was able to land safely, the aircraft's rocket motor and half its rudder were blown away. Since the program was about to end in any case, this aircraft was retired.

The number one NF-104A is currently on display on top of a pylon in front of the USAF Test Pilot School.
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      IMPORTANT!!!
You need SF2E to have the stock F-104G and SFP1 for the cockpit files.
or follow these precious instructins: http://combatace.com/topic/57393-flyable-f-104s-for-sf2
Another thing... there are some minor differences between SFP1 and SF2E models and one of these is a bit different mapping on the nose. So it will be included an optional SFP1 f-104_2.bmp file.
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Pilot Notes:

-The rocket engine is set to use "Thrust vectoring" as a throttle control to permit separate control from the jet engine. The rocket will operate only with afterburning regime and with only 2 stages, half and full power. From idle to military it will not generate thrust and so will not affect fuel consumption.

-This plane is equipped with hydrogen peroxide Reaction Control System like the real plane. To engage the system simply throttle the rocket a bit over idle.
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Installation:

Simply copy all the files in the respective directory of your game folder.

    19. KA-6D Refuel Intruder, For SF2 by The Intruders

KA-6D Refuling Intruder, for SF2 by The Intruders
      = For SF2, Any and All (meaning: Full-5 Merged and/or SF2:NA) =

This is a semi-complete mod, with almost everything needed to unzip and install. All aircraft inis, lods, new drop tank, etc are included. However ... the cockpit, other than an RWR bmp is NOT! You'll have to supply your own, as outlined in posts on the CA Message Boards. You must also have 1stGen WoV or WoE in your possession to extract the necessary cockpit parts to install to this mod. All I've suppled are the updated inis, and the single RWR bmp (that replaces the dash clock). You must also have the original 1stGen Download of this aricrat to install this Pak to. See "To Install" for more detailed instructions. And follow them to the letter!

A wealth of skins are included in the pak; pretty much ALL the 1stGen KA-6 skins I could find. Most, if not all, are the work of AllenJB & Paul Nortness. You'll have, in Full Color:

      VA-35 (USS Nimitz?)
      VA-35cs (USS Coral Sea)
      VA-42 (USS Forestall)
      VA-52 (USS Kitty Hawk)
      VA-65 (USS Independence)
      VA-65e (USS Enterprise)
      VA-115 (USS Midway)
      VA-128 (no ship listed)
      VA-145 (USS Ranger)

      In Lo-Viz markings:

      VA-35lo (USS Saratoga)
      VA-42lo (USS Forestall)
      VA-52lo (USS Kitty Hawk)
      VA-75lo (USS John F. Kennedy)
      VA-85lo (USS Enterprise)
      VA-95lo (USS Abraham Lincoln)
      VA-176lo (no ship listed)
      VA-185lo (USS Midway)
      VA-196lo (USS Coral Sea)

All Lo-Viz skins have a default start date of 1985 (my best guess as to the date-of-transition. Feel free to correct, and post the actual date). Decal radiation is set to TRUE for all skins, due to they're extreamly low amount (4-5 Modex/BuNum) per aircraft.

All inis have been brought as close as possible to the latest (3/2012 and/or SF2:NA) standards. The FM remains untouched, but small changes in the Data INI add manually folding wings (Shift/9), and I've adjusted the auto deployment speeds for the refueling drogue. The avionics have also been slightly adjusted.
Again, there have been some statement added that may only work with installs patched to 3/2012 and/or SF2:NA. Use in other, earlier dated installs is at the End Users risk.

It should be noted, as AFR is NOT supported in-game, this aircraft mostly exists as "Eye Candy", to be seen parked on deck, airfield ramps, and just flying around turning jet fuel into noise.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! The Notes section contains further details, descriptions, elightenments, illuminations, and so forth. Be good to read them, too.
No, seriously ... unzip this archive and =READ= everything first!!! It's exceptionly important you do so....

      Happy Landings!

    21. The Ultimate Razbam F-102A

Well, I'm hoping this will be the last update for this aircraft; not much this time around, just that I found that the Case XX wing not only did not go into production in 1969, it's first flight was in May of 1957! It comprised the last 338 (or so) of the entire production run and was actualy the most important modification made to the aircraft after the introduction of the Area Rule in early production aircraft, enabling the F-102A to fly Mach 1 at 55,000 feet, a full 5000 feet higher than the earlier (Case X Wing) aircraft. The other change I made was to fold the (67) into the other Case X and XX Wing planes; it wasn't a different aircraft it just went to Nam.:) The big difference in installation is because of the consolidation of types; (from F-102A, F-102A (60), F-102A (67), F-102A (69) to F-102A, F-102A (CaseX), and F-102A (CaseXX), it is now necessary (because the ini. names don't match) to pull the aircraft Lod.s out of the Razbam folder and drop into this one (pretty much the same as you did for the missles in the previous updates). The Lod.s from the F-102A go in the F-102A folder, the Lod.s from the F-102A (60) go in the Case (X) Wing folder, and the Lod.s from the F-102A (69) go in the Case (XX) Wing folder. Don't forget Cockpit Lod.s for each. The Aircraft ini.s are setup to only use the main (Lod.1) Lod., however if you drop all three into each aircraft folder you can always change your mind at a later date. This also includes Paulopanzs' latest skin pack, adapted for the changes in folder names. Hope this works for everybody; any screw-ups are mine. I've managed to get a lot of animations in the cockpit working; lots of stuff happening when you engage a target. Good luck, good hunting those Commie swine, and I hope you enjoy it.

      DISClAIMER....................

May work in SF1 but if it doesnt work, ive no intention of making it for sf1.
Having seen this nice Russian commercial jet I thought...could be a good platform for airborne early warning..
and it seems to me,to look the part.

      ..................................................................

I adapted the 3d model to what we have here.See bottom for original creator credits for model and some textures and Templates.
      .............................................................

I had to fiddle with some mapping etc as it wasnt perfect...it still isnt, could do with higher res template, but I didnt do more, otherwise I would have done.a full remake, and thats time I havent got.
I think its ok for release as is..further work is possible with templates.which I will upload soon
So please refrain from saying its not 100% accurate as ive spent a lot of time I cant afford on it already...and done what I can without a total remake..as stated. :)

      .............................................................Work ive done.........................

Template tidied up a little. To follow soon..
      new textures added....slightly higher res.
complete New landing gears front and back..
      some 3d body work.

      New radome dish added.

This little jet is quite a nice airplane...in game its got a shortish rotation, ive checked some videos and it can take off in quite a short time, and can climb away well...
If you feel you can improve it in any way ,feel free to do so and I can update it...

      To Do possibly......

Cockpit could use a grey repaint..ive no time to...if you like to paint it,please do and share with others ...thanks if you do this.

    23. TMF E-3A Sentry for SF2 series

This is The Mirage Factory's E-3A Sentry packaged as an individual aircraft for SF2 series. Included is a NATO skin by AmokFloo, the original 552d Flagship skin, and skins representing each squadron that flies the Sentry. Also included are decals for all NATO assigned aircraft and the Core 23 aircraft purchased by the USAF in the 70's. This should add some airborne eye candy to your installs, particularly Europe and the Middle East.

To install simply drop the folders into the correct areas of your mods folder.

Thank you to The Mirage Factory, AmokFloo, Dave and several others for their work on this project. i hope you enjoy this mod, and lets see how can form their favorite fighter on the wing long enough for a screenie!

    24. Hawker's EA-6B Prowler Upgrade/Update Pak for SF2

      EA-6B Prowler, for SF2 by Hawker, Agemmenon & 331KillerBee

      = For SF2, Any and All (but designed for Full-5 Merged and/or SF2:NA) =

*It should work fine in non-SF2NA installs*

REMINDER: you =MUST= install this update package to the original download. The location URL and Full instructions ™, are below in the "To Install" section. It is also HIGHLY reccomended you read this entire document, after unzipping but BEFORE installing over the original download. There are a couple of extra steps you'll be taking...

The package builds further on the original SF2 conversion done by 331KillerBee, and expands the usable skin set "a bit."
Included is a mix of early Hi-Viz markings, and later Lo-Viz markings. They've been diferentiated by a "guesstimated" transition year of 1985, when the LoViz automaticlly appears. The HiViz skins are listed normally; the LoViz have the "lo" suffix. Decal randomization is set to TRUE.

      Skins contained herein are:

      HiViz -

      VAQ-132 "Scorpions"
      VAQ-134 "Garudas"
      VAQ-140 "Patriots"
      VMAQ-2 "Death Jesters" (later version?)
VMAQ-2 "Playboys" (early - folder is called Playboy)

      Lo-Viz -

      VAQ-130lo "Zappers"
      VAQ-135lo "Black Ravens"
      VAQ-136lo "Guantlets"
      VAQ-138lo "Yello Jackets"
      VAQ-139lo "Cougars"
      VMAQ-1 "Banshees"

The folder and main ini have been renamed "EA-6B_AH" (for Agemmnon & Hawker) to keep this aircraft seperate from the stock TW EA-6B version that comes with SF2:NA. To further differentiate it from the 3W model, on the Aircraft Selection Drop-down, it will read as
"EA-6B Prowler ICAP II" (KB's work -not mine!)

The install method being used here will cause you to do a few more steps =BEFORE= installing, but they are all outlined in the "To Install" section. The new carrier lines for SF2NA have been added, but for End Users without SF2NA, it should pose no issues for use. The earlier Game Engine will simply ignore them. You will still be able to set them for carrier usage via the mission editor or campaigns.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them! The Notes section contains further details, descriptions, elightenments, illuminations, and so forth. Be good to read them, too.
No, seriously ... unzip this archive and =READ= everything first!!! It's exceptionly important you do so....and equally important, to follow the instructions exactly as I've given them to you!

With thanks to all the skinners and ini dancers to kept this old mod from disappearing! KB's original readme is included, as are one or two from the skin downloads.

      Happy Jamming!
