Aalternate data GK-M163-VADS_Data.rar  for M163 VADS.  Reduced range of effective fire and added capability to target and attack AIR_AND_GROUND. Effective range is somewhere between real range against air and ground targets. and some minor adjustments....

Looks like I have changed the name of ini file (compared to the original GKABS one) - just to make modding more complicated.

M163 PIVADS  is designated somewhere from 1984..when Product Improvement program was introduced. Before it was officially M163 VADS. And in Vietnam was mainly used to support ground units. 

By the way, google.books have a 1976 manual if someone is interested.

can hydrofoils actually be modeled??? Meaning, as it speeds up, "deploying" the foils, and riding them with the hull out of the water????? (just thinking out loud)

I don't know but It's worth trying.

hmm.... deploy at "X" speed. could the animation be that of raising the hull, and having the foils stay on the surface??? or raising the entire ship so the foils are exposed???  Sort of like "automatic aerodynamic load" for slats and such

or maybe a low speed, low altitude aircraft, with the hydrofoils as a fixed landing gear. make the max speed 2-3 knots over takeoff speed and in theory you dont have a gunboat cruising at 5000 ft agl

but keeping it from flying away could be tricky, and it would jack up use of the guns  for surface engagement iirc

still, its a thought

Wrench, and daddyairplanes? thank you for your feedback I will consider your suggestions when I start modeling the Pegasus, but first I need to decide whether to make the Combattante I or the Pegasus.

Have you ever thought of doing the A variant of the much vaunted SA-8 'Gecko' vehicle? There only seems to be the B model available for SF2.

I made a new one some time ago together with late vehicles (SA-8B). The thing is we used only the late one in ODS30, so early (A) somehow stayed untouched on a drive.  When time allows I  will put together SA-8 pack and upload it.

Okay, I will start making the BM-30 Smerch first as I don't think it will be so much of a hassle as I have some of the parts made from other Russin models.  This is what I have currently, if anyone finds a clear one please can you share it with me.

About 95% of work on the 3d model has been completed only some minor details need to be added then it's finished. next, I will do the UVW and texturing.
