  1. yes, even rejected by Netflix!!!
  2. Painting the Skyshark ain't nothing -- it's overall Dark Gloss Navy Blue. I've had the "Naval Fighters" book on it for some time. Don't forget about the radar ARe you sure it's ready, model wise? I see a lot of unmapped sections in that Lod Viewer image
  3. in any case, some very nice footage of the Flankers
  4. I know you're gonna fix the wheels!! . Russ, you REALLY are a machine!!! Are there other skins for this model, and will they be usable (I'm noting the FAA Martlet we're seeing now) Also, if possible, can I request the outboard gun barrels be seperate meshes, so the 'remove mesh trick' can be used to create the -3 Wildcat (4 guns)
  5. stock ones!!!! can it get any weirder?? Like Spinners, I've also encountered Commie (PRC & NK) Vampires and Meteors on the KAW map. I simply deleted the Vampires, and edited the Metor's data ini (non-exported in a Era/Theater specific mods folder) And then there's these, the Spit's below
  6. In the instructions on creating an Era Specific Install (either in the SF2 Knowledge Base or the PropHeads Fourm), I found the cure is to leave 1 (count them -one-) Player Flyable (tm) modern aircraft, like a Skyhawk, and 1 (count them -one-) AI controled MIG, I usually use the 21MF as I like that one. Have 4 different WW2 installs, and they've never repopulated with unwanted crap. As the stock ground objects won't appear due to their dates, you can leave them alone, for the most part
  7. don't forget the Hunters... had some rather disconcerting encounters with North Korean Hunters over Yalu ....
  8. Netz, to you!!
  9. for navy skins, the Mytai ones are among, if not, the best. Almost all of his originals have been converted from the SF1 series to the SF2 series. === is it shameless plug time again????? anything with my name on it!! and welcome to CombatAce!!!
  10. AND.. all my decal from Pasko's can be salvaged and reused!! thanks Russ!!
  11. approved and ready for downloading! Great work guys!!!

This aircraft comes complete with everything needed, and has skins that represent the following units, as is my habit one East Coast and one West Coast based units: 960th AEW&C Sqdn, 551st AEW&CW, Otis AFB, MA 963rd AEW&C Sqdn, 552nd AEW&CW, McClellan AFB, CA The aircraft is presented in two finishes; overall NMF for the 963rd, and NMF with Arctic Red (orange?) wing, nose and tail sections. Both aircraft share a pool of 26 serial number decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. I was unable to run down individual serials for the units, so these should be considered 'generic' in nature, although they ARE correct for this aircraft. When in game, on the Aircraft Selection Dropdown menu, you'll see: RC-121D Warning Star (R) Hopefully, will diferentiate it from any other RC-121s that you may (or may not) have, or be available. The "R" stands for RussoUK, the model maker. As is always reccommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. SF2 A-26N Invader Nightfighter Pack 2/21/2020 -For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended) "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods" This is a mod of the WW2/KAW era A-26 Invader into a make-shit night fighter/interceptor as used by the French Air Force during the Algerian War of Independence in the late 1950s-early 1960s. This mod was started at the beginning of the year (as you can see from the date above), and got lost in the shuffle, what with all the world wide insanity. I now present it to YOU! Because I can't think of anything else to do with it!!! :) In the early 1960s, during the aforementioned war, 8 French Air Force A-26B Invader bombers were modified to carry an Air Intercept radar and were used to counter airborne smuggling of arms and supplies to the rebels. They were assinged to ECN I/71. This model is finished in overall night black, with standard AdA markings. All markings, excepting the French tri-colored rudder, are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE. On the number list ini, you'll see 4 serial marked with the star (*). These have been matched as having been used by ECN 1/71. The other unmarked serials are just 'generic', but those aircraft were used by the AdA (either in Indo-china or Algeria or both). All other bits are supplied; sounds, pilots, weapons - including a "version" of the SNEB 68 rockets and rocket pod "modified" for air-to-air usage (inis only -- I've tagged them to use the stock 3W Matra pods. And they DO work, with a little practice.) When in-game, on the aircraft selection drop-down menu, you'll see: A-26N Invader (NF) Designating this as a "night fighter" variant. As is always reccommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Also, as usual, PLEASE give the "Notes" section a look at!! Good Hunting & Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein "Another Find From The Archives!!!"

  16. That's been what I've observed, the few times I've seen it. Which is why I suggested a fault in the AI routines. Personally, I'd just ignore it, and take the multiple kills!!!
  17. Looks good in RAF colors! I don't suppose they have and F4F Wildcat and SBD Dauntless laying around??? The one's we have REALLY need replacing!!!

This aircraft comes complete with everything needed, and has skins that represent the following units, as is my habit one Atlantic and one Pacific based units: VW-1 "Typhoon Hunters", based at Barbers Point HI & NAS Agana, Guam VW-11, based at NAS Argentia, NFLD The aircraft is presented in two finishes; overall DGNB (VW-11), and DGNB with the anti-heat white upper fuselage (VW-1). Both aircraft have 18 BuNum (serial number) decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. On the Numbers.lst, any marked with a star (*) are 100% historicaly correct for that unit, and have been matched to their Modex number. Those not marked should be considered 'generic' in nature. When in game, on the Aircraft Selection Dropdown menu, you'll see: WV-2/EC-121K Warning Star (R) Hopefully, will diferentiate it from any other EC-121s that you may (or may not) have, or be available. The "R" stands for RussoUK, the model maker. The "WV-2" was the original designation when the aircraft was placed in service in 1954. It was renumbered to "EC-121" in the early 1960s, during the "Great McNamara Renaming & Consolidation" of all US military aircraft. 20. A division of Cyberdyne, no doubt.
  21. 1st off, we need to know which map, and then in the targets ini, what each airfield ini is called for on each of the airfields. Example: [TargetArea002] Name=Levu Vana Airfield Position=536000,496000 Radius=6000 ActiveYear=0 Location=1 Alignment=FRIENDLY AirfieldDataFile=desert_airfield1.ini NumSquadrons=3 Target[001].Type=Runway1 Target[001].Offset=0.00,0.00 ;Target[001].Heading=60.0 Target[001].Heading=0.0 Judging by the tileset, it's using the VietnamSEA tiles. (only the desert and VNSEA use the gold-ish brown city tiles. IME & GCE use those silvery-gray). The farm tiles also look like VNSEA. The city TODs don't look stock; the buildilngs are too tall)
  22. still to come: EC-121D (USAF) WV-2/EC-121K (USN) Soon!!
  23. all things 3w are ... Left/Right Fore/Aft Up/Down in that order will probably not effect the AI in any way, shape or form. they run on a completely seperate set of rules
  24. forgot to add above ... "I wonder how many I can kill with a single Sparrow shot??" == off the top of my head though, since those are the DLC Su-9s, I'll almost bet there's something wrong in the AI routines. I've seen things similiar, but never to this extent. (doubled bombers in formation, running themselves over on the runways/taxiways).

The aircraft is presented in the livery of Trans World Airlines (TWA) as seen in the 1950s; the heyday of the properller-driven airliner. Company markings are painted on, but 18 100% historical registration number and aircraft name ("Star of ***") decals are provided. Decal randomization is TRUE. The aircraft has a cockpit, so you can fly it if you wish. But as with all the TRANSPORT aircraft, leaving them in AI hands is reccommended. All sounds, pilots, etc have been included. When in game, on the Aircraft Selection Dropdown menu, you'll see: Lockheed L1049 Constellation (R) Hopefully, will differentiate it from any other civil Constellations that may (or may not) be available.
