  1. just a tip...you might not want to waste votes on tandem Jag or Mohawk...just saying...
  2. this is the new AH-1G...not been published yet. Still have to do a thing or two...
  3. And how this is going to help? It is fun to have a wish list...but it is only fun. the cockpit will not make itself suddenly... Research time. This is not like you will google "xyz cockpit" and have ready everything. Manuals, hundreds of photos and you still will have a shitload of work. I think years ago someone asked about creating a research group - to take part of the workload from the modeler. Suppose it did not work out either. Maybe one day... as for now generally, 3d guys here are on their own... But believe me, research in this matter is hard. As I said - it is not about googling cockpit photos. the best thing about making a working cockpit is - that in the end after all this hard work you will feel rewarded. So...yes we need a cockpit for this and that..but whining about it...will not make it happen...
  4. drag chute must be part of the model properly linked in a hierarchy and be part of the visible component in data.ini. the new cockpit is not a problem - usually, the time needed to build one is. Generally, building a cockpit is much easier than an aircraft model - it just takes much more time. Same thing about double cockpits. Either it is a backseater, side-seater, or even can have three positions. The thing is you need time to build one.
  5. nah...I will just continue to do what I was doing. I am not a 3d artist so I will keep messing around.
  6. Amen. And I repeat myself again, at this point that we have plenty of goodies in the game. I prefer quality rather than quantity. I do not want 69 new aircraft I would rather have one but delicious. And honestly, If I do not have a cockpit for mod I do not install the mod -(with few exceptions for some heavies..and if it is for the red side) but this is my approach.
  7. Ha! I am not alone. Every seaplane looks mean. we will get there...
  8. Yes, Tracker is a good choice. Maybe we need a new KC-10. ....joke that only one will understand. AJ Savage..... Martin's Marlin, Mariner, Mars Caribou. TAV-8B is 99.9% done a long time ago...I am waiting for inspiration for the remaining 0.1%
  9. they said this horse is still kickin'
  10. even before, there was not much communication at all.
    Very nice. Thank you.

  11. It is possible that moving CG in data.ini screws up all other coordinates? (weapon stations, effects, pilot seats, etc)
  12. Well i have to disagree. If us modders can create cat file - creating complex mods would be much easier. I could make 6 versions of one cockpit but still use majority of skin jpges from one dedicated cat file...and then few aircraft can use same cockpit which result in saving disk space in case of big mods...one harrier can use one dedicated cat file cockpit in few different game mods ...not to mention easier life for ground object modders and terraformers.
  13. looks good. If you are using x2048 templates here you will find bump maps fitting it. P-F-51D_BM.rar You can think about changing glass tga too it is so milky in the screenshots above ( I am guessing this is stock glass tga)
  14. my 3.5 cents... I have to disagree. Upscaled stock F-4 skins still look like old ones. Nothing better, nothing worse. Still has the same old level of quality. I would rather stick to available 2048x2048 templates. Way better and are available here since looong time. And if matched with the same quality bump maps...can give excellent results. as for small ground objects. Maybe, not sure. I have no opinion on this. Stock objects are quite simple models so there is not much hope for great improvements. For me, it is still the same old object with a higher kB size on your hard drive. I have replaced around 80% of stock ground objects with custom models...so even if those occupy more space on HD - ...well different quality.
