Welcome to SF2: ACP first release of alpha. Before I explain about the pack, I want to express big thank to the wonderful communities and modders of Combatace and Combat Flight Sim Tavern (Discord), including Thirdwire for the simulation.
You all are the reasons why this pack exists. I want to use the passions to improve SF2 into next level with avionics.
This requires a lot of research, reading flight manual, and tons of tweaking the texture, and avionics and cockpit ini, along with countless of testing in-flight in SF2.
The mods is not perfect, we do our best with the mods. We do it with the joys of our hobbies!
This pack includes the following features:
- New gunsight / optical sight
- New texture for radar, RWR, and another avionic equipment
- Improved cockpit and radar through cockpit and avionics ini tweaks for semi-realism (See note #2)
- Improves glass texture (If possible)
- Accessibility - Optional, includes the AAM firing cue on gunsight for people who can not hear the sounds of missile locking on targets.
- Improved night lights inside cockpits
- Tweaks to the view angle around cockpit
NOTE #1: As mentioned in note #1, due to little resources (Information / data) on early cold war era radar, at least half or most of tweaks are based on an educated guess. For exampe, AN/APG-33 radar that is used with E-1 FCS in F-89B and C, there are some data on it, but no data on elevator nor azimuth angle limitation.

Avionics overhaul for Historical vs fictional aircraft
I am dong overhaul for both historical and 'what if' fictional aircraft.
For example, in this alpha version, there are avionics overhaul for F-8A to F-8K, along with France F_8s. It also includes 'what if' JASDF F-8EJ Crusader.

There are readme inside each aircraft folder, please read the instruction to install the mods.
NOTE: There is a folder "_OPTIONAL - RWR", by default, RWR always have texture. If you want TW style version of RWR, you can replace the RWR with the provided RWR texture from that folder.

The new version of SF - CAP now have new gun system (texture and MILs)
From now on, all guns have texture of 512 x 512, which is 150 MILs.
In order, to use the new gunsight / optical sight, you MUST set MILs to 150 in cockpit.ini or ImageSize=0.2025 in avionics (HUD)
When I created the optical sights, I measured the MILs of gunsight by pixels
For example
512 pixel width is 150 MILs
For example:
For 100 / 50 / 25 MILs, it is 341 / 171 / 85 pixels

Due to steer size of projects, I am more focused on creating texturs for avionics overhaul. It is taking a lot of my time and I rather to focus and finish the projects in time.
Therefore, from SF - CAP v0.4 onward, it no longer have TEMPLATE folder. And to add, with the new gunsight / optical sight, it requires new templates too.
However, if any of you want the templates for certain aircraft's avoinics, you can contact me by posting in SF - CAP thread or PM me in CombatAce.
I can clean up the mess in the templates and send it to you to use for modding SF2.

f-16 FAA F-16BM Block 10 (Argentine Air Force) v1.0
This is the First Argentine F-16BM, actually M-1210, Previously ET-210
The pack has two schematics: one that was actually presented here in Tandil, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the other that was presented during the purchase confirmation, which remains fictional for now since the official schematic is unknown.
The official schematics and data for avionics, radars, etc. will be created and published in future updates.

THEY WILL APPEAR FOR THE MOST PART AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MENU SCROLL

Greece operated 40 Dassault Mirage F1CG single seat aircraft. F1CG was first ordered in 1974 and entered service with the Hellenic Air Force in 1975. The aircraft were used by 334 Squadron and 342 Squadron. Mirage F1CG was armed with the Sidewinder AIM-9P missile, rather than the most commonly used Matra Magic II, and it could carry four AIM-9Ps, rather than just two.
Upgraded version from 1984 with MK6 ejection seat, RWR and additional wings missile pylons.

i corrected the existing position lights and added the missing position lights as well as the landing lights , i also addet the cockpit open/close function and the functioning arresting hook , the top fuselage position light ( behind the cockpit ) is more or less on the right position ( i did not change this position ) but the texture for it on the skin is on the wrong position , maybe somebody can come up with some new and corrected skins for this F-4D aircraft
NOTE: the files includet in the Effects folder are only in case you dont have them , if you have this files than there is no need to install them again , the files are neede to have the nuclear effects for the B61 bombs and the Walley Mk6
NOTE: Before installing the new weapons i strongly recomend to delet or remove the existing ones with the same name as the new ones ( i know that this is time consuming but this way you make sure that this weapons work as they should )
i made a lot of test with the cockpits and the changed data.ini´s and loadout.ini´s if there are still problems please let me know

Install instructions:
Extract the content of the zip package to a convenient location.
The LODViewer depends on the Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 C++ libraries. If not already installed on the computer (e.g. by other applications) it has to be installed by running vcredist_x64.exe (you can find it in the redist subfolder of this package).

LOD Exporter for Blender

I tried to implement the exporter only based on the information I found by investigating LOD files. I'm not a 3D Modeler myself. I only tested the exporter with rather simple object (hierarchies).
The bottom line is that I have no idea if the exporter works for you. So please give feedback.
Note: This plugin requires blender version 2.78 or 2.79. It is not compatible with blender versions 2.8+.
1.) Installation
Open the Blender User Preferences - Add-ons Tab
(File -> User Preferences... -> Add-Ons)
Click "Install from File..."
Browse to and select the exporter python script "io_export_sf2_lod.py"
Click "Install from File..." (or double click on the script name)
In the Add-Ons Tab under Supported Level select Testing and enable "Import-Export: Strike Fighters 2 LOD Exporter"
The LOD exporter is now installed and enabled. Under File -> Export you should see the menu item "Strike Fighters 2 LOD (.lod)". It's greyed out until an exportable object is selected.
2.) Usage
Select the object you want to export and click File -> Export -> Strike Fighters 2 LOD (.lod)
The file browser opens. In the lower left area you see the LOD exporter options:
-enable/disable writing the out file (text file with information about the exported object(s)).
-enable/disable animation export
-allow decals:
This option is similar to the option in the original TW-Exporter: "Exporting using AllowDecals=0 causes the vertex to be shared, so it can reduce the size of the .LOD but also causes decals to "bleed" along the edges."
This dialog setting is used as default for all objects to be exported. However, it can be overwritten by each individual object via the custom object property "AllowDecals" = 0(false) or 1(true)
The selected object and all child objects are exported.
Two custom object properties are supported by the exporter:
-AllowDecals = 0 or 1, This option is similar to the option in the original TW-Exporter: "Exporting using AllowDecals=0 causes the vertex to be shared, so it can reduce the size of the .LOD but also causes decals to "bleed" along the edges."
-UseFlatNormal = 0 or 1, if set to 1 then all vertex normals are pointing straight up (normal = (0,0,1)) in the objects local coordinate system.
Please note!
The objects must meet the following requirements:
-No scaling in the Transform Properties allowed (that means: scale x = y = z = 1.0). If your object has scaling, it should be applied to the mesh (Ctrl-A)
Scaling is only allowed for animations.
-A material must be assigned to the object. Only the first material of an object is exported.
The following material parameters are exported:
-Diffuse Color (the lod file format also contains ambient color. Currently the exporter set ambient color = diffuse color)
-Specular Color
-Specular Intensity
-Specular Hardness (I think in 3ds Max it's called glossiness)
-if "Shading -> Emit" > 0.0 then self illumination is enabled
-Transparency (if transparency is enabled, then the object doesn't cast and doesn't catch shadow. if transparency is disabled, then the object cast and catch shadow. The specific LOD format version the exporter writes, doesn't support arbitrary cast/catch shadow combinations. The other LOD formats I don't understand enough (yet). Sorry!)
-Alpha
-Mirror Reflectivity
-Diffuse texture image name (as diffuse texture the exporter uses the texture where "Influence -> Diffuse -> Color" is enabled)
-Normal map texture image name("Influence -> Geometry -> Normal" is enabled and the Normal value is also exported)
-Specular map texture image name("Influence -> Specular -> Intensity" is enabled)
-Normal and specular map can only be used together with a diffuse map. (If I exported a normal or specular map without diffuse map, then the LOD wasn't shown in the game or the game crashed. I don't know why...)
Animation Export:
This exporter supports the following object animation types: location, rotation and scaling.
Frames 10, 20, 30, ..., 100 are exported as animation 1
Frames 110, 120, 130, ..., 200 are exported as animation 2, ...

TODEditor

After nearly 6 years since my proof of concept experiments with the TOD files I'm ready to release a first version of the TODEditor (could almost be a nominee for the Duke Nukem Forever Award ).
Main Features:
Easy editing of TOD files: cut/copy/paste, moving and rotating of objects Import of object models files: *.lod, *.obj or *.3ds
Warning:
Use at your own risk. The TODEditor is currently in an early beta stage and can contain serious bugs. So, please backup your terrain files before you work with the TODEditor. I have warned you!
The program is free for whatever use (commercial or personal).
Installation:
Extract the content of the zip package to a convenient location.
The TODEditor depends on the Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 C++ libraries. If not already installed on the computer (e.g. by other applications) they have to be installed by running vcredist_x64.exe (you can find it in the redist subfolder of this package).
Start the program by double click the todeditor.exe.
For further information see TODEditor_readme.txt.

*Please note, if you have the original, I suggest backing it up, simply for safety's sake. It will also archive it, for historical purposes.*
This is a revamp of the North Cape terrain by Baltika. It has gone through a somewhat large rebuild, mostly to clean up and add "eye candy" to the airports and some of the other military targets. It still remains in the single 'winter' season. Ports have been upgraded with buildings, docked ships and other martime goodies. The movement ini has also been modified, with additional and/or re-routed routes. It should be noted, this is =NOT= a NavalMap, so don't expect any carrier action. Limited Nations is also "TRUE", using the Usual Suspects (tm).
I've supplied a great number of GroundObjects, but you'll want to double check them after unzipping, to make sure you have everything before installing. Meaning: not everything has been supplied. Ground defenses (AAA & SAMs) use the generic tags (SAMLauncher, SAMRadar, etc), so there should be no problems with the GameEngine (tm) using what's in you Mods Folders.
As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE READ THEM!!!

while placed in the "what if" section in 2025, the gist of this mod will become a reality as the
23rd FG at Moody AFB, Georgia is slated to recieve F-35s by 2029. The serials assigned are not known
at this time, nor are the final markings. This is a SWAG attempt at predicting how the Flying Tigers
will look once they go low observable.

this mod features skins for the 93rd TFS "Florida Makos" (FM) and the 89th TFS "Rhinos (DO). both squadrons were a part of the Air Force Reserve's
482nd TFW throughout the 1980s. there are skins for the F-4D_78 version, as well as a F-4C_67 skin for the 93rd, the only Reserve unit to operate the C model Phantom.
finally, i have added ravenclaws excellent new pit mod and updated the skins and inis to accomodate it.

this mod represents the 457th and 704th TFSs of the Air Force Reserve during their F-4D era. The two units flew both regular fighters and ones that had been
upgraded with the ARN-92 LORAN navigation system, with its distinctive "towel bar" antennae on the spine. The 457th was a primarily LORAN outfit with only a
few regular aircraft while the 704th was more evenly mixed (even removing some of the ARN-92 systems prior to retirement).

Creek Klaxon '86: Air National Guard Deployment to Ramstein AB 1986
This mod is a simple skin and decal set to represent Creek Klazon; an ANG deployment from April 1986 through March 1987 while the resident 86th Tactical Fighter Wing was transitioning from the F-4E to the F-16C Block 25. Crews from many ANG squadrons rotated out over the course of the year, while three units sent three aircraft each to support the Zulu Alert interception mission. These airframes came from California's 194th FIS, Minnesota's 179th FIS and North Dakota's 178th FIS, all with air defense missions in the United States and all donating F-4D aircraft in the colorful Air Defense Gray paint scheme.
Also included in this mod is terrain mods to allow pairs take offs at Ramsein AB, and a mod to plug into NATO Fighters 5 so that you can fly the 1986 campaign with this unit (they were historically there during the timeframe)

F3H Demon Cockpit visual tweak

This is a visual (only) improvement of the F3H Demons cockpits.
I offer a visual (only to improve the look) improvement "as is" based on photos and other data (in fact, this aircraft had different panels in different versions, radars etc., so this topic actually requires deep development).
What's inside:
1. Improved central panel texture
2. Improved radar texture
Installation:
1. Make a backup of your files
2. Delete (!!) your cockpit and avionics files, as well as your Cockpit folder (all mod panels in JPG format)
3. Place the Cockpit folder cockpit and avionics files in your aircraft folders (check the names if necessary, rename the cockpit and
avionics files to your names (look at the names in your backup)
