    3. Mitsubishi F1M "Pete"

      I needed a Pete for a scenario I'm running, there didn't seem to be one available, so here is The A-Team Ar-95 re-done as the Mitsubishi F1M "Pete". You'll need the original LOD from the Ar-95 package, I'm sure you've done the install dance with lots of aircraft before, I won't repeat it here.

      Credits as in the orginal readme (enclosed, thanks A-Team), with the following exceptions:

      Skin by me, based on the original by Pappychksix
      Loading & Hangar screens by me.

      This was done quickly as I needed it right away, shouldn't be any issues. If they're are, it's only supposed to be a target but the original is fully flyable, so this will be too (complete with original German cockpit).

    5. F-84F ThirdWire SF2 Tweaks and Bits

      F-84F ThirdWire SF2 Tweaks and Bits 06-04-10

      Credits:
      F-86F Cockpit by Zurawski
      Early 1960's French Pilot by Corktip 14, based on Diego's USAF Korean War pilot.
      Martin Baker Mk3 Ejection Seat by ravenclaw_007
      F-84f Hangar Screen from the Mirage Factory F-84F Package
      F-84F Loadout tga by Paulopanz
      F-84F Data.INI tweaks and F-84F Loading Screens by NeverEnough

      The Thirdwire F-84F model is very nicely done for an AI only model, and can be easily finished into a real fine ride.
      The latest version included in the SF2 Expansion Pack did not have the flap deploy and retract settings in the Data.ini, so these have been
      added in this tweaked Data.ini. The taillight was located about six feet behind the aircraft, and the navigation lights on each side of the tail
      are modeled but have no entries in the stock Data.ini. The tailight location was corrected and the tail navigation lights are added in the included
      Data.ini. The front landing light has also been added, and SHIFT 0 will open and close the cockpit canopy.

      The early 1960's French pilot is a nice addition, and he looks great sitting in ravenclaw_007's beautiful new Martin Baker Mk3 ejection seat.
      The new loading screen is a French F-84F with Suez campaign stripes, which looks especially fitting when used with Paulopanz's Suez SuperPack skins!
      An alternate loading screen of a beautifully restored Italian F-84F is also included for a SF2E installation.
      Give this kite a test drive, and discover what a treat it is. Be sure to include Paulopanz's Suez skins, and you will be looking good.

      ---------------------------------------------

      Installation notes:

      Simply copy the contents of the included Objects folder into your Mods\StrikeFighters2 Israel, Mods\StrikeFighters2 Exp1, or Mods\StrikeFighters2 Europe folder.
      To use the Italian F-84F Loading Screen, change the line in the F-84F.INI as shown below:

      [AircraftData]
      AircraftFullName=F-84F Thunderstreak
      AircraftShortName=F-84F
      AircraftDataFile=F-84F_data.ini
      LoadoutFile=F-84F_loadout.ini
      UserList=F-84F_UserList.ini
      CockpitDataFile=F-84F_COCKPIT.ini
      HangarScreen=F-84f_HANGAR.bmp
      LoadoutImage=F-84F_LOADOUT.tga
      Loadingscreen=F84F_Loading.bmp <<<<<<<< Change this to F-84F_Loading.bmp

    7. MiG-17PF/PFU Pack

      Mikoyan I Gurevic MiG-17PF/PFU Mod for SFP-1/WOV/WOE/WOI oct.08 patch

      In this pack there are:

      3 aircraft:
      MiG-17PF SP-7 = Initial production version of the PF model whith the Izumrud-5 radar and 3 NR-23 cannons
      MiG-17PF SP-8 = This version introduced the Izumrud-2 radar with better range.
      MiG-17PFU = The PFU eliminated the guns in favour of 4 RS-1U (AA-1 Alkali) missiles.

      2 missiles:
      RS-1U
      RS-2US

      New droptanks

      And real Klimov VK-1F sound recorded from a MiG-17.

      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Tips:
      These MiGs were heavier than the standard F model because of the radar equipment so the performances are somewhat lower.
      The PFU variant have to be used only when facing bombers as the missiles have very limited spectrum of operation and are unreliable. So no dogfight with this. ;)
      To open the canopy simply use Shift+0 .

      If anyone want to change or do other nose colors there is a .psd template in the "MiG-17PF_SP-7_mod" folder.
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Installation instructions:

      Simply copy all the files in the respective directory of your game folder. :)

      And add the code lines of the weapons and tank to your WEAPONDATA.INI
      ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Credits:

      Spillone104: Added 3D details, Fuel tanks, Weapons, INI work, flight model and sounds.
      Paulopanz and Soulfreak: Texture and decals for the LSK, CVL and Polish skins.
      Paladrian,MAGO, BADGER the BAD and Gepard: MiG-21PFM cockpit and modification.
      FastCargo: Fake pilot.

      BETA Testers: Canadair, Muesli, Spitwulf and Paulopanz.

      Thanks to Svetlinnh to let me notice the lack of pylon on the original TW MiG-17 droptanks ;)

    21. Spitfire MkIXe Royal Danish Air Force

      Spitfire MkIXe Royal Danish Air Force, 1945-1955

      This will add an RDAF-specific version of the Spitfire LF MkIXe included in the SF2 Israel Expansion Pack. Includes correct serial numbers for all airworthy RDAF MkIXe aircraft.

      Unfortunately, the LF.IX is not correct for the RDAF, as all MkIX aircraft in service with the RDAF were HF.MkIXs. I can not correct this myself, but if somebody else could, it would be a useful addition. The visual model is in any case identical. Danish Spitfires had rounded or clipped wingtips indifferently, and as these were interchangeable, a photograph of any particular aircraft will only show the configuration of that aircraft on that day. The "LF," "F" or "HF" designation concerns only the engine variant, not the wingtips, canopy type or armament fit.

      This will run only in SF2I or a merged install including SF2I and the SF2I Expansion Pack.

    22. 660629 First F-105 MiG Kill for SF2V

      June 29, 1966 was a pivotal point in the air war over Vietnam.

      Restrictions on bombing in Hanoi and Haiphong were lifted by Washington, D.C.
      The first targets were major POL storage depots (Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants).
      The USAF struck Hanoi and the USN struck Haiphong on this day.
      About 56.8% of North Vietnam's POL storage capacity was destroyed.

      However, another significant even took place on this day.
      An IRON HAND flight of four F-105s was bounced by four MiG-17s.
      Two F-105s were damaged.
      One MiG-17 was hit and last seen diving into a cloud just above the ground.
      This MiG-17 became the first confirmed kill by an F-105.
      The pilot was Maj. Fred L. Tracy of the 421st TFS, 388th TFW.
      He was flying in F-105D 58-1156, callsign Crab 02.

      "MiG Killers" by Donald J. McCarthy, Jr.
      Brief synopsis of the aircraft and pilot involved.

      "Clashes" by Marshall L. Michel III
      Detailed but generic account of the action, no name, units, etc.

      USAF "Red Baron" WSEG Report 116 Event II-15
      Incredibly detailed account.

      /*****Design*******************************************************************/

      After extensive testing, this mission uses the following design decisions:

      Written for a stock SF2V install, no mods required.

      The stock environment does not permit low level clouds experienced that day.
      Only the higher level clouds are modeled.

      The initial aircraft positions reflect WSEG Report 116 Event II-15.
      the mission starts when the MiGs are first detected by Crab 04.
      However, the AI cannot be "bounced" as was historically the case.
      So all F-105s are immediately aware the approaching MiG-17s.
      This means that the MiG-17s do not get the first pass on Crab 01 and Crab 02.
      It also means that Crab 02 does not automatically get a point-blank free shot.
      It does lead to the correct situation of trying to clear MiGs from tails.

      The historical F-105 mission is SEAD until the arrival of MiG-17s.
      This forced the F-105s to jettison their ordnance to evade attack and engage.
      So the flight leader, Crab 01, has been placed on a SWEEP mission.
      This makes the AI flight leader drop all ordnance and focus on the MiGs.

      The player is flying as Crab 02.
      Presently, players can only be the lead aircraft in a flight.
      So, Crab 02 is modeled as a separate flight assigned to ESCORT Crab 01.
      The player cannot issue commands to any other aircraft.
      The focus is realistically shifted from MiGs to protecting the flight leader.
      To win the mission, the flight leader must live.
      As in reality, MiG kills are just an added bonus.

      Crab 03 and 04 are also a separate flight.
      This permits historical initial positioning of the aircraft.
      The default game formation is too close together.
      This is also necessary due to the player being assigned as a separate flight.
      Otherwise, Crab 03 would end up in the wingman position of Crab 01.
      Crab 03 and Crab 04 are also assigned to ESCORT Crab 01.
      This largely makes them act as members of Crab 01's flight.

      The MiG-17s have been broken up into two flights.
      A three plane flight and a single plane flight.
      This permit historical starting positions.

      Historically, the F-105s got separated.
      Each pilot made decisions based solely on what they saw or heard.
      Some F-105s disengaged while others were still fighting.
      This is an added advantage to having one flight get broken up into several.
      Each flight decides to fight or flee independently of the other flights.
      This permits outcomes that are very close to the historical results.

      /*****Playing Tips*************************************************************/

      Do the following to make this mission challenging and realistic:

      ONLY USE THE NORMAL IN-COCKPIT VIEWS: <F1>, <F2>, and <F3>
      Do not use map <M>, target <T>, padlock <F4>, or any view target <F8> keys.
      Doing so provides the player with exceptional situational awareness.
      The player unrealistically always knows everyone's location.
      This extra knowledge allows a skilled player to easily kill all of the MiG-17s.

      Be proficient with the POV hat, look up <NUM 5> key, and zoom view controls.
      Due to the way the game renders distant targets, spotting MiGs is very hard.
      MiGs that are not very close cannot be seen at all when zoomed out.
      Learn to zoom in and scan the horizon for small moving dots.
      This will be frustrating and the spotting distances may seem unrealistic.
      The end results are exceptionally realistic.
      The player may frequently get lost or disoriented.
      Like real pilots, level out and/or use check turns to find your way back.
      It will take skill and luck to spot MiGs.
      It requires even more skill and luck to get one or more kills.
      Of course, TrackIR makes this whole process much easier and realistic.

      The first thing the player should do is jettison all ordnance.
      Then the player should maneuver to cover the flight leader's tail.
      The flight leader, Crab 01, is very close and to the right of the player.
      Crab 01 can be observed to jettison his ordnance at the start of the mission.
      Historically, Crab 01 broke to the left, but the AI breaks to the right.
      Next, a decision will have to be made:
      Follow and protect the flight leader, or engage any MiGs encountered.

      Play the mission several times following these restrictions.
      Once used to it, the player will learn two skills critical to real pilots:
      1) Visual scanning discipline to focus and pick out distant contacts.
      2) Situational awareness to mentally track planes not within view.

      Good hunting!

      A big thanks to palopanz for the numbering. I never have the patience to do 38 sets.

    24. Avia S-199 by ID(io)T team

      Avia S-199 for SFP1,WOX oct.08 patch by ID(io)T team

      Historical note-(from Wikipedia)
      Avia Company ,a branch of the enormous Škoda Works in Czechoslovakia built numerous Messhershmitt Bf-109G’s during the WW2 for the German Luftwaffe. After the war the major part of the construction line remained intact, and soon the Czechoslovakian Air Force put an order for Avia S-99, an exact copy of Bf-109G.
      Under unknown conditions, the company run out of Daimler-Benz DB 605 engines andi it was decided to use an alternative type.Making an unfortuned -for many-decision ,the specialists managed to put the the Junkers Jumo 211 and the propeller of he-111 bomber to the existing Me-109 G airframe.This engine used by the Henkel He-111 bomber was heavier, used heavier propeller that caused torque and the final result was an aircraft with control difficulties .the new variant was named after Avia S-199 and an order for a new branch was made very soon .
      Despite the aircraft's numerous problems and unpopularity with its pilots, it achieved fame as the first fighter obtained by the Israeli Air Force, for use during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. Czechoslovak pilots nicknamed it Mezek ("Mule"), while in Israel it was officially known as the Sakeen ("knife" in Hebrew). In practice, the aircraft was more often called Messerschmitt or Messer (which also means "knife", in German and Yiddish).
      Around 550 S-199s were built, including a number of conversion trainers designated CS-199 (armed) and C-210 (unarmed), 20 were purchased by Israel. The first flight took place in March 1947, and production ended in 1949. The last examples were withdrawn from Czechoslovak service (with their National Security Guard) in 1957.

      Simply put S-199 and Piloter folders inside Aircraft folder in your install and the sound file inside Sounds folder.

      IMPORTANT NOTICES:
      1)this plane is meant to be a freeware for the beginning, don’t buy it from nowhere J
      2)although the major part of these planes were used by the Czechoslovakian Air force, we didn’t have time to complete a skin L…please, contribute!!!!!!!
      3)putting datas to make it fly more close to the real one, we discovered why it was named “mule”…..so, expect something more easy to handle. Of course, for the case that everybody knows, prop planes doesn’t work properly under “hard”mode…but even in medium mode, it goes great!
