Saab J-29F Tunnan
By BUFF
The J29 flew for the first time in 1948. It was the first european aircraft
with swept wings. 661 J29s were built between 1951 and 1958 and they served in
the Swedish airforce until 1967. Due to the swedish neutrality and the fact
that the airforce needed all the planes SAAB could produce, J29 was never
exported with the exception of 30 used planes that were modified and sold to
Austria with start in 1961. J29 broke many speed records during its service.
Combat records were limited to UN operations in Africa 1961-62 where it
performed very well.
J29's performance was comparable with the best fighters the superpowers could
mobilize (F-86 & Mig-15), and could be considered the peak of the swedish
airforce during a period when it was second (numerically) only to USA, USSR
and Great Britain.
J29F was the last version and this plane was equiped with an after burner and
the new wing introduced with the E-model.

Lockheed F-80C Shooting Star
By BUFF
The Shooting Star was the first USAF aircraft to exceed 500 mph in level flight, the first American jet airplane to be manufactured in large quantities and the first USAF jet to be used in combat. Designed in 1943, the XP-80 made its maiden flight on Jan. 8, 1944. Several early P-80s were sent to Europe for demonstration, but WW II ended before the aircraft could be employed in combat. (The aircraft was redesignated in 1948 when "P" for "Pursuit" was changed to "F" for "Fighter.") Of 1,731 F-80s built, 798 were F-80Cs.
Although it was designed as a high-altitude interceptor, the F-80C was used extensively as a fighter-bomber in the Korean Conflict, primarily for low-level rocket, bomb and napalm attacks against ground targets.

U-2A Addon for Strike Fighters
By Guest
The most famous spy-plane of the Cold War era was a product of the Lockheed Skunk Works. The U-2 was designed to fly at altitudes that put it beyond the reach of interceptors. The advent of surface-to-air missiles brought U-2 over flights of the Soviet Union to halt in 1960 after an aircraft flown by Gary Powers was downed by an SA-2.

Pasko's F-82
By Heck
As per a request from Buff, this is a .rar of Pasko's F-82 from my Korean War aircraft folder. It contains his original readme, and weapons zip, which (the weapons zip) you probably don't need to use if you have the latest weapons pack working. I have not been able to contact Pasko to get his permission to upload this, so if he sees it and wants it down, down it comes. All I did was squeeze it into a .rar. It is solely the work of Pasko, Gramps, Starfighter, and Wolf257, the people mentioned in the readme. It is their work. I am uploading this solely as a favor to people I consider friends, because we all miss Pasko's site and his wonderful work, but if Pasko, Gramps, Starfighter, or Wolf257 have a problem with this upload, then it will go the way of my last wingman, and disappear into a smoking hole in the ground. Enjoy.

One of the most heavily armed fighter aircraft, the F-89 was the backbone of
the North American Air Defense Command for more than 17 years.
The F-89 was the first multi-seat, all-weather jet interceptor. It was the first
aircraft designed to carry an all-rocket armament and the first to carry the Hughes Falcon
air-to-air guided missile.Northrop was awarded a contract May 3, 1946, to build two
prototypes designated XP-89. The XP-89 rolled out of its California plant in the summer of 1948.

Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star
By BUFF
The two-place T-33 jet was designed for training pilots already qualified to fly propeller-driven aircraft. It was developed from the single-seat F-80 fighter by lengthening the fuselage slightly more than three feet to accommodate a second cockpit.
Originally designed the TF-80C, the T-33 made its first flight in March 1948. Production continued until August 1959 with 5,691 T-33s built. In addition to its use as a trainer, the T-33 has been used for such tasks as drone director and target towing, and in some countries even as a combat aircraft. The RT-33A version, reconnaissance aircraft produced primarily for use by foreign countries, had a camera installed in the nose and additional equipment in the rear cockpit.

MiG-15bis BS Fighter-Bomber Mod
By Wrench
MiG-15bis BS Fighter Bomber 'stand-in' For SF, WoV & WoE
From the readme:
Based on some discussions & wishes for more 'NATO Fighters' mods, I thought I see if I could do a quick and dirty hack job and create the fighter-bomber version of the MiG-15bis as used by the Soviet and other client state's air forces.
Mind you, it is exactly what I say it is -- a hack job adding the extra wing hardpoints 'virtually' via data ini edits, but it seems relatively close to what should actually be there...
I hope you like this little tweek; albeit not perfect, it does add another version of this historical, and varied aircraft.
-- This mod is designed for use with the Weapons Pak!!! --
Ok, first off...this is NOT a full aircraft mod; this is only a group of inis and a few other bits. You WILL need to have Pasko's MiG-15bis already installed, as you will be transfering most of the physical parts (the aircraft itself). Also as there is no cockpit with the original, you will probably want to use one of the Russianized Skyhawk pits available at CombatAce. The cockpit ini supplied with the kit is built around that one; either the black or green, it dosen't matter.
I've built the ini's around a standard Soviet Air Force version; if you want it to be for another country (ie: Czech AF), you should know by now the edits necessary to create a 'country specific' version of the aircraft.
Please read the readme for further, detailed instructions for installation!!!
Happy Landings!

Mirage IIIO
By Guest
Mirage IIIO for Strike Fighters
This is a mod of the Mirage Factory's Mirage IIIE, to create the RAAF Mirage IIIO. The Mirage IIIO was a license-built IIIE, configured for Australian conditions. It was the RAAF's first-line fighter from the 1960's until the 1980's (it was sometimes informally rendered as the "III-Oz").
The Mirage was the RAAF's first supersonic aircraft, being selected in November 1960 over the F-104 Starfighter, F-5 Freedom Fighter, the Phantom II and the English Electric Lightning. The Mirage won out on its superior ability to operate from austere airfields, and its multirole capabilities.
The Mirage IIIO FM and screens are by Charles, and it comes with two skins by Gramps, a 75 Sqn 1960's camo scheme and a 3 Sqn 1980's low-vis grey.
Many thanks to the Mirage Factory for creating the Mirage IIIE,on which this mod is based. Please read the ReadMe for full instructions and credits.

Super Mystere B2 v1.1
By ErikGen
V1.1 (Super Mystere B2 equipped with internal rocket launcher).
Developed from the Mystere IV it become a completely new aircraft.
Built in 180 exemplary it served with the French Air Force (Armee de l'Air) from 1958 until 1977.
The Super Mystere served also with the Heyl Ha'Avir in the six days war... in 1969-70, after the French embargo, the Sambad (Israeli name for the Super Mystere) was modified to use the PW J52-P8A american engine and renamed Sa'ar (tempest)... but this is another story.
The Super Mystere is also Historically important because it was the first serie-built European fighter able to fly beyond the speed of sound in level flight.
The SMB2, like others interceptors of the '50/'60 years, was equipped with a internal rockets launcher; this kind of weapons was intended to be used against waves of enemy (soviet) bombers. When the first generation of guided missiles were available, this weapons were abandoned.
The aircraft is tested with SFP1, WoV and WoE updated at the last Service Pack and with the last WeaponPack.
This mod is freeware and is not allowed for commercial use.
FM, modified F100 cockpit and Atar-G101 sound by Kreelin ...thank you Andriam ;).

enjoy it

IAI Sa'ar v1.0
By ErikGen
The Sa'ar (tempest) is a modification of the Super Mystere B2 (Sambad for the Israeli pilots). After the French embargo and the consequent poor availability of Atar spare parts, Hey'l Ha'Avir decided the installation of a PWJ52-P-8A american jet engine on a Sambad cellula. The lower fuel consumption and lower weight after the abolition of the After-Burner complex of the ATAR 101, gave the Sa'ar a bigger autonomy and allowed two extra attach points; the long-piped exaust provided best protection against IR guided missiles.
The conversion of 26 Sambad started in late 1969, one aircraft a month , and ended in early 1973 (26 month later... of course).
The Sa'ar, as the Sambad, fought in the IAF with the 105° Squadron "Ha'akrav" (The Scorpion) only.
The aircraft is tested with SFP1, WoV and WoE updated at the last Service Pack and with the last WeaponPack.
This mod is freeware and is not allowed for commercial use.
