    1. Fictional ‘What if’ Royal New Zealand Air Force A-7 Corsair II Skins

As requested in MAKO69’s topic (http://combatace.com/topic/82082-a-lot-of-what-if-ideas-for-the-moders/?do=findComment&comment=658905) here are my RNZAF A-7 re-skins.

Fact: When the New Zealand Government selected the A-4K Skyhawk for the RNZAF in the late 60’s/ early 70’s the A-7 Corsair II was on the Air Force’s short list along with the F-4 and F-111. A modernised version of the A-7 was again considered in the late 80’s as an alternative to upgrading the RNZAF Skyhawks.

You will need the stock Third Wire A-7D and A-7E_74 as well as the Mirage Factory A-7D_84 and A-7K_MF

Instillation: As usual simply drop into your mods folder and allow it to override when prompted, none of the aircraft files will be changed just the skins added.

      Enjoy,

      Dan.

    2. This pack consists of three planes. The stock A-4F, A-6A and A-7E have been modded to create attacker planes for the Dhimari Air Force:

      1. AF-4Dh Desert Skyhawk, 6th Squadron "The Eagles"
      2. A-6Dh Desert Intruder, 9th Squadron "The Fennec Foxes"
      3. AE-7Dh Desert Corsair, 7th Squadron "The Rattlesnakes"

      INSTRUCTIONS

      1. Drop the Folders into your Strike Fighters Mod Folder.

      2. If asked to overwrite, click yes.

      ADDENDUM:

The planes fly for the USAF, since I don't own Strike Fighters 2

If you have SF2, then simply change the NationName in the corresponding data.inis and userlist.inis

I added a color sheet into this package so everybody can feel free to create his own dhimari desert aggressor skin.

The Intruder uses an aliased A-7 cockpit. If you have a fully modded pit of the Intruder, you can switch to it by simply changing the correspondent entry in the A-6Dh.ini

    3. The Mirage Factory F-14 Tomcat Super Pack V1.21 AUG. 25, 2013

      What it is:
This is the F-14 Tomcat Super Pack v1.21 Full. It includes tweaks to the engines, avionics, weight, effects and the Phoenix missile.

      =================

      Installation:

      =====CAUTION=====
      1. This was tested at July 2013 patch level, on an "All 5 Merged" install, and because it uses AvionicsF14A.dll, will require SF2NA (or a TW F-14) to work! It will not work on Gen 1 sims, nor will it work correctly on pre-April 2012 installs! (Caveat: Avionics70.dll F-14D should work on pre-April patch levels).

      2. It is HIGHLY recommended you back up your current F-14's .ini files and cockpit folders. If you have custom skins installed, be sure to back up your F-14(A/A+/B/D).ini to preserve the texture set data.
      =================

      1. Unzip the contents of the F-14SP_V121.7z file into a folder.

1a. If you have installed the Avionics70 F-14D, ensure you back up the .ini files if you haven't renamed the bird, since this install will overwrite F-14D_92, 96 and 06!

      2. Open your Strike Fighters 2 mod folder (e.g. C:\User\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Europe\...)

      3. Copy the contents of the unzipped Objects folder into your SF2 mod Objects folder, allowing all files to overwrite (Objects\Aircraft and Objects\Weapons).

3a. (RECOMMENDED) Review the Cockpit and Avionics, and F-14 SP Update word documents for information on updates.

      4. Go fly!

      =================

      1. Unzip the contents of the F-14SP_V121.7z file into a folder.
1a. You may choose to use the Avionics70.dll F-14D for SAR mode on strike missions. If you wish to do so, see Section 6 of the F-14 SP Update V120 word document (Para 6.1-6.3) for install procedures and recommendations.
      2. Open your Strike Fighters 2 mod folder (e.g. C:\User\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Europe\...)
      3. Copy the contents of the unzipped Objects folder into your SF2 mod Objects folder, allowing all files to overwrite (Objects\Aircraft, Objects\Weapons, and Objects\Decals will be affected).
3a. (RECOMMENDED) Review the Cockpit and Avionics, and Update word documents for information on updates.
      4. Go fly!

    4. SF2 DLC #28: F-104C (66) Starfighter Skins/Ini Pak, Part 2 3/15/2014

      = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged, =WITH= DLC #28 (Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) =

*DLC #28 is REQUIRED for this mod!!*

Please note, this pack is set up for the F-104C_66 variant from the DLC pak
      (WITH refueling probe) =ONLY=!!!
This pack contains skins/decals for the following units:

435th TFS, 479th TFW, as based at Udorn RTAFB (and attached to 8th TFW)

      Post-Vietnam:
      198th FIS, Pureto Rico ANG

The PRANG skin has a start date of 1969, and will automaticly switch.
All aircraft are in standard SEA camo finish.
All markings are decals, and decal Randomization is TRUE. 100% historical
serial numbers (all 77, new decals) are included. Nose Art decals are included
for the 435th Skin; the aircraft are 'named' in the numbers.lst. The PRANG
skin, which only uses 26 numbers, are in the later (post-10 years operational)
      style.

      The inis included are:
Data.ini (operable canopy, Standard Keystroke, Shift/0)
      Loadout ini
      main ini
Hangar screen (an SF2 revamped version of the 1stGen's F-104G)
      Loadout image (bmp)
Avionics. ini (see "Notes" for more information)
Cockpit.ini, (see "Notes" for more information)
Please note, the cockpit itself is =NOT= included -- you'll have to find the
      F-104G's pit on your own.

When in game, just to be sure, you'll see "F-104C Starfighter (66) (3W)". This
will differentiate it from the 1stGen mods (see below, as an added safety
      precaution).

When installing, just allow the overwrite of the inis. I've fiddled with the
skin listing order, to make them more user friendly. Also included is my
(patent pending) 'One Click Restore Main ini' for when the game engine ™
      rewirtes it.

Also, if you have ANY of the original Ajundair F-104Cs ported over to SF2, you
are ADIVSED to rename ALL the folders (aircraft and decals), back them up or
remove them from your mods folder BEFORE installing this package. There is a
distinct possibility that this mod may merge with them, and really and truely
      foul things up!

*REMINDER!!! You =MUST= have DLC #28 to access the aircraft's LOD.*

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are
      included. So, please -READ- them!!

    5. SF2 DLC #28: F-104C (61) Starfighter Skins/Ini Pak, Part 1 3/15/2014

      = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged, =WITH= DLC #28 (Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) =

*DLC #28 is REQUIRED for this mod!!*

The pack contains some remods of Daves skins/decals that were originally seen on Anjundair's F-104C. Now that we have a better model (DLC #28), it behooved me to update it.
Please note, this pack is set up for the F-104C_61 variant from the DLC pak (WITH refueling probe). However, with a simple rename of the skin maps, it can be used on the standard or garden Variety F-104C included in DLC 28. It is NOT for use on the F-104C_66. That will be covered in another mod pak See "Notes" for more information on skin renaming.

This pack contains skins/decals for the following units:

      479th TFW, George AFB:
      434th TFS
      435th TFS
      436th TFS
476th TFS (all in stateside full-color markings)
      and
476th TFS, as seen at Da Nang, RVN in 1964 (called 476_E, with tail TAC Badge)

All aircraft are in 'Natural Metal' finish
All markings are decals, and decal Randomization is TRUE.

      The inis included are:
Data.ini (operable canopy, Standard Keystroke, Shift/0)
      Loadout ini
      main ini
Hangar screen (an SF2 revamped version of the 1stGen's F-104G)
      Loadout image (bmp)
Avionics. ini (with non-historic audio-only RWR)
Cockpit.ini, (with working secondary ADI and oil quantity gauges, ala F-104G)
Please note, the cockpit itself is =NOT= included -- you'll have to find the F-104G's pit on your own.
When in game, just to be sure, you'll see "F-104C Starfighter (61) (3W)". This will differentiate it from the 1stGen mods (see below, as an added safety precaution)
When installing, just allow the overwrite of the inis. I've fiddled with the skin listing order, to make them more user friendly. Also included is my (patent pending) 'One Click Restore Main Ini' for when the game engine ™ rewirtes it.

    6. SF2 DLC #28: F-104A Starfighter Skins Pak, Part 2 3/15/2014

      = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged, =WITH= DLC #28 (Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) =

*DLC #28 is REQUIRED for this mod!!*

on Anjundair's F-104A. Now that we have a better model (DLC #28), it behooved
me to update it. Included are USAF and Air National Guard skins.

      USAF:
      56th FIS (ADC)
83rd FIS (ADC) (1st unit to recieve them, Hamilton AFB)
      151st FIS (TN ANG)
      157th FIS (SC ANG)
      197th FIS (AZ ANG)
      319th FIS
      538th FIS

      RJAF:
      No 9 Squadron.
This skin replaces the stock 3W with 100% hisorical serials, but is still named
the same (from my 1stGen mod of Ajundairs)

All markings are decals, and decal Randomization is TRUE.

      The inis included are:
Data.ini (operable canopy, standard keystrokes, Shift/0)
      Loadout ini
      main ini
Hangar screen (an SF2 revamped version of the 1stGen's F-104G)
      Loadout image (bmp)
      Avionics. ini
Cockpit.ini, (with working secondary ADI and oil pressure gauges, ala F-104G)
User list with corrected RJAF date.
Please note, the cockpit itself is =NOT= included -- you'll have to find the
F-104G's pit on your own. (these inis will replace those in the PAF F-104A skin pak. Allow the overwrite)

*REMINDER!!! You =MUST= have DLC #28 to access the aircraft's LOD.*

For those that have the recently uploaded PAF A-Zipper, just allow the
overwrite of the inis. I've fiddled with their order, to make them more user
friendly. Also included is my (patent pending) 'One Click Restore Main ini' for
when the game engine ™ rewirtes it.

Also, if you have ANY of the original Ajundair F-104As ported over to SF2, you
are ADIVSED to rename ALL the folders (aircraft and decals), back them up or
remove them BEFORE installing this package. There is a distinct possibility
that this mod may merge with them, and really and truely foul things up! The
same is equally valid for the upcoming mods for the DLC F-104Cs, that are now
      'in the hangar'.

    7. Short Stirling MK1

The Short Stirling was the first four-engined British heavy bomber of the Second World War. The Stirling was designed and built by Short Brothers to an Air Ministry specification from 1936, and entered service in 1941. The Stirling had a relatively brief operational career as a bomber, being relegated to second line duties from 1943 onwards when other four-engined RAF bombers, specifically the Handley Page Halifax and Avro Lancaster, took over its role, but fulfilled a major role as a glider tug and resupply aircraft during the allied invasion of Europe in 1944-1945.

    8. This model represents the first Littoral Combat Ship, USS Freedom, in commission with the US Navy since 2008. These vessels are designed to be fast, stealthy, and highly modular.

This package includes decal sets for all current and future ships of the class, plus all necessary sounds, guns, and weapons such as the exclusive RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile. The ship can support two helicopters. See the readme file for full details.

A SRBOC countermeasures system has been installed to help defend against anti-ship missiles. This system is still in the beta stages, but if well-received, will be added to my other models as appropriate.

The weapon systems, collision mesh, and decals have been updated for compatibility with SF2: North Atlantic and the March 2012 patch. If you have not installed/do not plan to install either, this model will not work properly.

When setting up a task force, using the USNgrey texture will allow hull decals based on the ship number. This is bugged in single missions (as the ship number apparently defaults to 90 and can't be changed), so select a specific texture set with the hull number you want.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or constructive criticisms regarding this model, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you!
