    1. RDAF F-100D Superpack

      This is an extensive remake/update of previous
      great Hgbn masterpieces for SF-1 (all credits to him),
      fully compatible with last patches standards and
      with a whole new historical decalset.

      The new Silver, Green & Brown skins are sorted in 59, 64 & 75 in NF4 stlyle,
      adding tree planes to your mod folder.

      INSTALL: as usual.

      This work is dedicated to my very friend Henrik, ... the Viking.

      I hope, like me, You like the "Hun"!

      squadronlist.ini with all Swedish wings.

      Install: put all in Your mods forder and overwrite.

    3. Improved Afterburner Effects for Strike Fighters 2 V1.0

      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Installation:

      Put the .INI and .TGA files in the Effects folder.
      User\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFihgters2\Effects

      <<<VERY IMPORTANT!>>>

      Then the real work begins:

      Open the DATA.ini of the aircraft you want to use these effects.

      Since this effect is a combination of 2 emitters, one volumetric and the other in the form of a ribbon(for shock diamonds)... You need to duplicate the engine or engines in this way:

      (As exhample the F-105 is used)

      [Fuselage]
      SKIP ALL THE PARAMETERS

      SystemName[008]=BombbayTank
      SystemName[009]=CenterlineStation
      SystemName[010]=TopFuselageLight
      SystemName[011]=Engine2 ADD THE NEW ENGINE

      Edit the afterburner emitter on the first engine:

      [Engine]
      AfterburnerEmitterName=J79-ABEmitter CHANGE TO THIS ONE

      Then add the second engine below the first true one.

    4. MiG-15UTI "Midget" Jet Trainer by Pasko, for SF2
      =For SF2, Any and All (but Full-4 Merged Prefered/Reccomended)

      Modification, tweeks, compilations and other adjustments to Pasko's MiG-15UTI trainer, to bring in more in line with SF2 requirements.

      Data ini tweeks include an all new FM, based off the stock 15bis; please note that as that is usually an AI-only aircraft, there may be some small issues. Fly accordingly.

      Several skin/decal sets have been compiled from the Archives, to try and present as complete a set as possible. Included skins are:

      Soviet Silver
      EAF Silver
      LSK Silver
      Mozambique (a pale blue)
      Desert camo (Iraqi)

      Also included are the weapons (ok, the slipper-style drop tank), 'Early MiG' pilot figures and M15 seat, and the VK-1 sound. New Post-Oct patch SF2 hangar screens are included, rebuilt from the original 2004 release version. As expected, the canopy still operates via the standard or garden variety manual animation keystroke -shift/0.

      Is should be noted, that most of the original work was done by suhjake, and is taken from his MiG-15bis & 15UTI pack from 2009 (available here at CA). I just did a little fine tuning and compiling. THIS pak replaces the UTI from that one.

      As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them!! As always, the usual "Notes" section for other interestering details and stuff.

      Happy Landings!

    6. Ground Effects Collection
      ---------------------------------

      Just a few sample noise textures from the hordes I have collected & been experimenting with.

      They replace the stock noisenormal.bmp that create an impressive feeling of substance, texture & speed at low level.
      Enhancing already detailed terrains & giving new life to older low rez tiles. :-)

      Installation:
      ---------------

      Select a NOISENORMAL.bmp from on of the numbered folders & place it in the specific terrain folder that you intend to use it for.

      E.G.: \Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Terrains\Desert

      Notes:
      --------

      Terrain texture needs to be set to High or Unlimited to see the effects!!!!

      Best results are when that sun is at a lower angle, at noon the ground effect is not as visible!!!!

      Some noise textures work better than others on some terrains! You'll have to experiment with what works best with your particular tile set.

      As a guide this is what I use but you may find others more suitable.

      Desert: NOISENORMAL - 2
      Grass or foliage: NOISENORMAL - 7
      General: NOISENORMAL -3

      Problems/bugs:
      ------------------

      All texturs have been tested in SF2 fully mereged. (BuildDate=Aug 2011)
      I have noticed no adverse effects on my system & game settings!

      However....

      Some users could experience slight haze or shimmering depending on there system, game & graphics card settings.

      My FPS seems unaffected but some users could experience a slight FPS drop.

      Credits:
      ---------

      These textures have been made’ free to use’ & have been collected from a variety of locations on the net.
      All credit goes to their original creators & only minor changes have been done by me.

      Enjoy

    7. As of the end of October 2011 Libya is without its dictator
      and a free nation.In Malta, a Mirage F.1 was revealed recently, sporting
      a new roundel combined with the old flag of red over black over green
      with the white moon and star. this is an effort to recreate that particular
      set of new markings, together with a new nations.ini entry.

      Hope you'll enjoy the new Libyan insignia!
