They are nice for a completely static version of the vehicle. Probably I'd get rid of the soldiers inside, they wouldn't be visible on most views, but that's just my preference for performance. Also make one without soldiers for more common gameplay uses, and that's perfect. A template for the soldier's textures would be useful; that way we can create different camos for various environments and time periods.

This is just about completed for the Gulf War, I need to do the testing then I will upload the file first with only Tan texture to meet the ODS deadline. Then I will upload the other textures

After completing the M109A2 I will be making the MIM-72 Chaparral (M48 Chaparral). I will try to do my best to have it completed soon for ODS.

ok, this shows my ignorance of ground object behaviour, but does the gun stop to shoot or does it shoot on the move (in game, i know how RL goes)

if it stops, is it possible for the blades in back to be up on the move, then drop to fire?

other than  that nitpick, looks awesome!

 

whenever you might  get to it, dont forget the CAT (M992 ammo carrier):biggrin: uses the same chassis as the Paladin, intro to service 1982 (so in service for ODS)

I have them down but you are correct they should be up on the move and drop to fire but I don't know how to do that. If someone can give me a hint on how to do it that will be great and I will be more than happy to do it ;)

i concur with EricJ, looks good but dont ever remember seeing it.  seems more like a firebase or CSM is bored thing than what the gunbunnies would actually do on their own (esp setting it back up after every fire mission!). shoot and scoot doesnt allow time for camo nets, the mission from halt to go should only be a few minutes so you get outta dodge before counter battery fire comes n

if you proceed with it, use it for the firebase established postion model, not the stop shoot and go model. and move it out from in front of the barrel, even an illum mission would shred the netting

I have added a new tank Track sound for the M109 and I have it stop to fire then start moving again.  Only if I know how to make the blades go down when the tank stop to fire, then go up when it starts moving again that will be great.
