9 pointsYeah I am working on these, still WIP. Currently we can have J-10C and J-10CE. I have tried to make them as realistic as possible, including tactical numbers and weapon loadouts. Therefore, I also made two different fuselage stickers for the PLA version of the J-10C and canards will have different working conditions in different states balabala... All of these will take time, much longer than 2 weeks. Most of them are already done. Currently, I am still trying to find or create a model of the laser targeting pod myself. In addition, the main problem is the cockpit. Due to the lack of J-10C cockpit example images and the lack of models available on the Internet, I currently use Rafale one and make some "localized" modifications. I am still trying to contact the creators of the Rafale mod to obtain permission to use.

3 pointsFor the downtown tile i used amixture between skyscraper TOD objects and a target area with skyscraper LOD objects. This gives me the chance to change the skyline of different cities. The TOD obejcts will be the same in every city, the LOD buildings can be set by free. The bluish buildings are LOD objects, the greyish buildings are made by TOD.
-
2 pointsAt the moment i use the building LOD as destroyed model too. The big fire, i think, is a good indicator for destruction of a skyscraper. For a completly destroyed skyscraper i would need a completly new destroyed model, in the shape like the debris of the Twin Towers of NY on 9/11. On the other hand, if you look at the Ukraine, how stable modern buildings are and how difficult to destroy them completly. Sometimes they look so, as a short cleaning, new windows and a little bit paint would be enough that people could live again in this buildings. Thatswhy i will use the Hochhaus.LOD file as destroyed model.
-
2 pointsYes. They can be destroyed. As destroyed effect i use LargeOilFire effect. Because since 9/11 we know, that a skyscraper will not fall into debris immediately, but is burning for a long while. The screenshot is showing 2 skyscrapers burning after hit by 3 bombs M117 each.

2 pointsnow that i've finished my bit for the F-35 remod, I can get back to terraining. In this case, the "Espana" map from Op.Pelayo. Been working on and off on it since late last year. Made a lot of corrections and retiling. All airports have been rebuilded and are complete, excepitng for minor eye candies. I'll have to stop work on it for a week or so sometime over the next few days, and I'm going to have to learn Winge 11 when my BRAND NEW MACHINE ARRIVES!!!!! (and none too soon -- this one is starting to really act out). Of course, reinstalling every-damn-thing!! (good part is, I get to finally use the full SF2 pack with all the DLCs I bought years ago!) As you can see below, using my (patent pending) special tiles, Ceuta looks a bit more like itself then before. There are about 5 or 6-ish new tiles, mostly ports, and so forth. This terrain has a lot of flaws, and I'm trying to correct as many I can (other wise Macalana and Stratos will yell at me <gr>)

1 pointYes, I roughly guessed that the missile launched was a copy of the AIM-7. I don't think they will be PL-11 and other PLs, bcuz I don't think China will directly provide assistance in this regard. They are likely North Korean imitations, including the SDB-ish mmunition lying on the ground.I'm curious how NK makes these, tho it's really easy to just make a shell.

1 pointThe fired AAM looks like the PL-11... derivated from the AIM-7 family (Sparrow, Aspide,...). The other showed static AAM (#11009001) seems to be an inert SD-10.

1 pointHello everyone! The work on Wrench (Razbam) F2H-2 / 3 / 4have been completed now. In this projects, I learned how to edit the cockpit by moving or hide certain objects. With that, I am able to fix two things: - Move the 'reflector box" a bit forward, so the instrument / radar can be seen better. - Removed the reflector glass and applied Reflector glass by HUD method (Since there is no texture assigned to the canopy glass front of cockpit.) Here is F2H-2 screenshots: What I have researched from flight manual and online about F2H-3 (AN/APQ-51) and F2H-4 (AN/APG-37) FCS and radars. What I have experienced from the flight manuals; The USA combat aircraft's flight manual does not always have information on FCS / radar easily available, they are usually in separated manuals. So therefore, the information can be vague often. Therefore, I am required to research and connect the dots, especially do an educated guesses with the missing puzzles pieces (Information / data / pictures). Anyway, I found the picture from flight manual, which appears to be An/APQ-41 radar (F2H-3) In-game screenshot: This is interesting part, one of aircraft that uses Hughes FCS (E-10) and An/APG-37. The information and pictures of Hughes E-10 FCS + AN/APG-37 radar scope is quite challenging to find. So based on what makes sense, I am using the texture based on MG-4 FCS + AN/APG-37 used by F-86K. 1 pointSitrep: I made a sea to city tile especially for the inner city with the skyscrapers. (I dont know, how you call such an area in America.) I placed 2 tiles side by side on the map. Closer look. Dont worry about the different sea colors. It is still a JPG file without water layer. When i will make it to a TGA file this difference will disappear. At the moment i'm not really happy with this tile. Perhaps this will change when i have placed the skyscrapers on it.

1 pointIn an era of shifting geopolitical dynamics, the United States sought to withdraw from it's role as the world's policeman and it's President saw the opportunity for the ultimate defence deal - leasing Nimitz-class aircraft carriers and selling the accompanying aircraft to certain friendly countries. The increase in US defence spending and a ramping up of Ford class carrier production ('the Admirals have a name picked out for the next carrier. It's a beautiful name, the best, but I can't tell you what it is') enabled the US to prematurely release some of the earlier Nimitz-class carriers from front-line duties, and while such a move would be unprecedented, it would serve both the US and the recipient nations' interests in maintaining regional stability whilst reducing America's spend on defending others, and offset the trade deficit between the US and countries it had accused of 'ripping them off' by selling more to America than America had sold to them. Japan was the first recipient. Previously constrained by constitutional limitations on offensive military capabilities, the country had gradually expanded its defense posture in response to growing threats from China and North Korea. Leasing a Nimitz-class carrier would significantly enhance Japan’s ability to project power and defend its territorial integrity, particularly around the East China Sea and Taiwan Strait, as well as to protect it's trade routes through the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea. For the U.S., leasing a carrier could strengthen the alliance, share the burden of maintaining maritime security, and enable a more distributed force posture without requiring permanent overseas American carrier basing. The carriers would retain the CVN-xx designation, and could be recalled to US Navy service if necessary, allowing the U.S. to retain strategic influence over the assets, although the recipient naton was allowed to choose to rename the vessel. Along with the lease of the carrier came the purchase of aircraft. JASDF F-15 units were re-equipped with various versions of the F/A-18 Superhornet, F-35A orders were switched to the navalised F-35C variant, and additional E-2 Hawkeyes were purchased, as crews from both the carrier and it's air wing were sent to the appropriate US Navy schools to learn new skills and US Navy personnel were seconded as advisers for at least the first deployment. By early 2027 CVN-70, formerly USS Carl Vinson, set off on it's first deployment as JS Akagi, a historic name chosen in honour of the earlier carrier that had been flagship of the 1st Air Fleet, the Kido Butai. That first cruise set the template for most future deployments, beginning with a 3 week shakedown in the Kuril Islands, including intercepts of snooping Russian Bears and other aircraft types, followed by a power projection transit through the South China Sea, including exercises with friendly nations' navies. Exiting via the Straits of Malacca into the Indian Ocean, further exercises were held with the Indian Navy while real-world ASW and air intercept sorties by the air wing kept prying Pakistani (and their Chinese allies') assets at arm's length, before Akagi took up station for around six months in the Arabian Sea. Forays into both the Straits of Hormuz and the Red Sea would feature in all cruises by the Akagi and it's battle group, and the air wing would fly many combat missions, hitting targets in the air, on land and at sea as needed. Relief on station would be by either a US carrier, or more frequently a former US carrier, and Akagi would return home, again making it's presence felt in the South China Sea, for rest and refit before the next deployment.
