    I could have sworn I was never going to make skins for Strike Fighters anymore. I thought I had promised myself I was done... VMA(AW)-533's A-6E TRAM Intruders as they appeared during a rare carrier deployment with CVW-3 aboard USS John F. Kennedy. The BuNos and modex numbers are specific to the 1986 deployment, but can work for the 1988 Med Cruise as well. Sized for the Thirdwire A-6E (79) TRAM Intruder, but will also work for the A-6E(90) from the SuperPack. 12 aircraft will be represented, all with slight variation in markings. Still WIP, and in the years out of practice, my skills haven't gotten any better, but I might release these when they're done. Forgive the screen archery.

    Yes, I've done this before. In the VF-213 Last Cruise skin for the MF Tomcat, I used decals to replace the entire airframe base color on one of the jets. I just didn't feel like putting in that level of effort this time around, so I chose one airframe for inspiration and use decals for just modex, BuNo, and minor variations in tail art.

In 1976, the Pacer Plank upgrade was carried out by the USAF to reskin the wings of approximately 60 B-52Ds. A further twenty were found to be in good enough condition to continue service along side the upgraded BUFFs. In addition, the GBU-15 was tested on several of the upgraded BUFFs, giving an early precision guided weapon capability. Finally, the D models retained the ability through the end of their careers to carry 4 nuclear weapons, although this was rarely used. Included BD_PP aircraft, decals for the 4 Wings that operated this variant, weapons, sounds and effects Installation unzip, add to mod folder of choice. no overwrite should occur. requires SF2 Vietnam or Europe for B-52D model Notes 1. While tested, the D model never used the GBU-15 in combat. It was also tested with the short pylons, which are not available here. In light of this and the fact that the Hound Dog pylons are permanent, I set it up to work with those. There is a value in plinking the Defenses from 10 miles out, then plastering a runway with 80+ bombs minutes moments later. it is after all, a game. Have a little fun. 2.     Small progress report --- Cadiz, and the Bay of. San Fernando in the distance, and Puerto Real to the left. Unfortunately, there's not enough room (tile wise) to add Puerto de Santa Maria, which I'd really like to. Given the historical significance, as Columbus sailed from there. I'll try and figure something out. (and yes, I do know the penninsula is faaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrr to fat!!!)

    now that i've finished my bit for the F-35 remod, I can get back to terraining. In this case, the "Espana" map from Op.Pelayo. Been working on and off on it since late last year. Made a lot of corrections and retiling. All airports have been rebuilded and are complete, excepitng for minor eye candies. I'll have to stop work on it for a week or so sometime over the next few days, and I'm going to have to learn Winge 11 when my BRAND NEW MACHINE ARRIVES!!!!! (and none too soon -- this one is starting to really act out). Of course, reinstalling every-damn-thing!! (good part is, I get to finally use the full SF2 pack with all the DLCs I bought years ago!) As you can see below, using my (patent pending) special tiles, Ceuta looks a bit more like itself then before. There are about 5 or 6-ish new tiles, mostly ports, and so forth. This terrain has a lot of flaws, and I'm trying to correct as many I can (other wise Macalana and Stratos will yell at me <gr>)

    F-5E - The F-5 was also adopted as an opposing forces (OPFOR) "aggressor" for dissimilar training role because of its small size and performance similarities to the Soviet MiG-21. The F-5E served with the US Air Force from 1975 until 1990, in the 64th Aggressor Squadron and 65th Aggressor Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, and with the 527th Aggressor Squadron at RAF Alconbury in the UK and the 26th Aggressor Squadron at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. F-5N - Ex-Swiss Air Force F-5Es used by the US Navy as an "aggressor" aircraft, with AN/APG-69 replacing the original AN/APQ-159. Intended to replace high-time USN/USMC F-5Es in the adversary role, and saw service through 2015.     The very basic guide to ECM Jammers in SF2 Guide applies to ECM pods and aircraft with ECM supplied with the games and their supposed simplified implementation by ThirdWire. 1. Noise (Barrage) Jamming This is a brute force method of sending out a lot of RF waves to confuse enemy radars. The downsides of this are that it gives your position away and provides a good target for missiles using 'Home On Jam' (Some SA-2 models do use HOJ) * AN/ALQ-71 (QRC-160) External pod - Basic noise jammer - this will also interfere with your RHAW / RWR scope in game. Use - Don't rely on the jamming and always be aware what's coming for you. This pod is only of use against early model SA-2s. If you are flying high over Vietnam try to fly in with other flights for mutual protection. 2. Deceptive Jamming Provides false information to attacking radars - Probably does not present a target to HOJ missiles (Most powerful last) * AN/ALQ-51 Internal Jammer -Used on 1965 US Navy jets like F-4B(65), A-4C/E(65), A-6A, Early F-8s....etc * AN/ALQ-100 Internal Jammer - Used on 1967 US Navy and IDF jets F-4J, F-4B(67), A-7s, A-4F, late F-8(69s)....etc * AN/ALQ-126A Internal Jammer - A-4F(74) * EL/L-8230 Internal Jammer - F-4E Kurnass (78) * Unknown Israeli Internal Jammer - F-16A, KfirC2 * AN/ALQ-135 Internal Jammer - F-15A Use - Deceptive jamming in SF2 seems to be an effective method against all SAMs in SF2 - but still be prepared to look for any SAMs coming at you. Note: Some Soviet Jets like the MiG-23MLD and MiG-27 also use internal deceptive Jammers. 3. Dual mode Jamming This type uses both Noise and Deceptive Jamming (only 3rdWire knows how it is implemented!) (Most powerful last) * AN/ALQ-101 External pod * AN/ALQ-119 External pod * AN/ALQ-131 External pod Use - The ALQ-131 is the best pod to take against SA-6/SA-8s - but still be prepared to look for any SAMs coming at you. HOJ missiles might still go for these pods in game.
