    4. The Scandinavian Front: Midvintermörker
      By The Scandinavian Front Team

On Boxing Day 2012, Sweden wakes up to a new world; A Sweden they have never seen before. A powerless and dark Sweden. A day everything changed. Sweden is under attack; Gotland is being invaded by Russian Forces and sabotage patrols wreak havoc in the major cities.

Försvarsmakten bets everything on one card; Operation Gudrun. They must repulse the Russians from Gotland or loose the Island forever.

      Installation:
If you are using a mod, or plan to use one, TSF will mess around with settings other mods may be using. As such, creating a seperate mod folder for TSF is a good idea. If you only plan to use TSF, then this step can be bypassed.

Go to your installation folder (Usually C:\Program Files\Thirdwire\Strike Fighters 2). Make a copy of Strike Fighters 2.exe / Strike Fighters 2 Europe.exe depending on what you prefer and got installed. Name the Copy Strike Fighters 2 TSF.exe . Start your new .exe once, then close the game.

Now go to your Mod Folders. For Windows 7/Vista, this is located in C:\Users\Name\Saved Games\Thirdwire. For Windows XP Users, it is usually in My Documents. Unzip the contents of the 7zip file into the mod folder of your choice. Allow any overwrites.

As long as this package is installed last, it can and should be merged with the other The Scandinavian Front packages.

Team TSF recommends Starys Tiles for the terrain. It looks alot better. Install it last; when all TSF packages are installed and working.

If I forgot anybody, this is completely unintentional and will be corrected. Just drop me a line and I fix.

There may be bugs, ladies and gentlemen. I cannot guard against everything. So you are my eyes and ears. Find them. Report them. Hunt their mothers. And we will destroy them.

    5. The Daring class was a class of eleven destroyers built for the Royal Navy (RN) and Royal Australian Navy (RAN).
Constructed after World War II, and entering service during the 1950s, eight ships were constructed for the RN
(HMS Daring (D05), HMS Dainty (D108), HMS Diamond (D35), HMS Defender (D114), HMS Decoy (D106), HMS Diana (D126),
HMS Duchess (D154),HMS Delight (D119)) and three ships for the RAN (HMAS Vampire (D11), HMAS Voyager (D04),
      HMAS Vendetta (D08)).
Two of the RN destroyers were subsequently sold to and served in the Peruvian Navy (MGP).
HMS Diana (D126) was BAP Palacios (DM-73) and HMS Decoy (D106) BAP Ferré (DM-74).
They had some modifications as 4 Exocet.
HMS Duchess (D154) was sold to Australia after HMAS Voyager (D04) sunk colliding with HAMS Melbourne.
A further eight ships were planned for the RN but were cancelled before construction commenced, while a fourth
RAN vessel was begun but was cancelled before launch and broken up on the slipway.

As userlist function isn't well experimented for ships I made 3 different classes by nation.

A later RAN skin with USS style numbers is included but StartDefaultDate entry seems not implemented.

The Peruvian ships Exocets missiles could be added later if someone with max files wiil do the job.

      SUGGESTION:

    6. Avia B-71 plane for Strike Fighters 2 by ThirdWire

B-71 was license build Tupolev SB-2 used by czechoslovakia

      unfortunately it came too late

Czechoslovakian Air Force received 60 Russian-built SB with Hispano Suiza 12Ybrs engines in April and May 1938. Another 101 bombers and 60 reconnaissance aircraft were license-built Avia B-71 but only 101 were built.

Cockpit used in this package is build by Stary and it is not 100% correct for this plane

but close enough. Thank you Stary

    7. Baltic region HR tileset v1.0

      for SF2 March 2012 patch-level

      April 1st 2012

optional tiles, ground TOD objects for "The Scandinavian Front MOD" by JonathanRL or stand-alone Sweden map by gillg

Hats off to both of you for your efforts guys!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GAMEPLAY NOTE: Due to large amount of ground objects per tile (around 800-1100+ per single tile)
it's highly recommended to use ObjectsFade=TRUE statement in options.ini to increase ingame framerates

Also, due to my crappy slow internet connection, I removed from the initial upload two seasons (thaw and light snow) which eventually will be uploaded later
      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This mod assumes one has at least installed and tested Sweden map by gillg, more preferably stand-alone TSF mod folder with one of JonathanRL&Team's Scandinavian mods, which includes the Sweden map in them too.

      Installation:
To install unpack this archive and copy or move the content of Baltic Tileset to your Terrains folder, overwrite when asked.

!!!Be warned, due to 1024x1024 textures and large TOD files, the map takes some time to load at first run!!!

    8. This is a full conversion and improvement of the existing Slava class cruiser for SF2:NA/March 2012. Along with the expected effects, weapons, ship names, and collisions modifications, I fixed non-working radars and weapons on the ship and streamlined the data in a more logical, consistent fashion.

I also created a new flight deck LOD file and adjusted the relevant data to enable helicopter operations. AS I didn't make the original model, the positioning is based on guesswork and trial&error. Embark from the flight deck at your own risk.

An alternate anti-ship data file for the Slava is included in the ship's folder. If you want it to launch Sandbox missiles, open the Slava.ini file and change "ObjectDataFile=Slava_DATA.INI" to "ObjectDataFile=Slava_DATA SSM.INI"

      Enjoy!
