---------------
This update is for Strike Fighters 2 Israel without the Expansion
Pack 1 installed, either stand-alone or merged to other Strike
Fighters 2 games.
This update contains all the fixes from previous updates, and
it can be applied to any version of the game. Earlier updates
do not need to be applied.
If you have installed any mods to the game, please check the
ChangeList.txt for a list of updated files. If any data files
you've extracted have been changed, you must manually delete
and/or updated these files, or the patched game may not run
correctly.
Previous campaign saved data may not load after an upgrade.

* Campaign front line handles neutral boundary better.

* Alt-N sometimes causing bombers to not show up on time is fixed.

* Reduced some graphical artifacts showing on horizon with Effects
setting at Unlimited.
* V-sync is enabled by default in DX10 mode.
* Full-screen anti-alisasing now defaults to a lower-quality (and
better performance) setting.
* Version number displaying incorrectly on the Main Screen is fixed.

This udpate is for any install of Strike Fighters 2, Strike
Fighters 2 Vietnam, and Strike Fighters 2 Europe without the

This will add DO's carrier to use with TMF new F-14 Tomcat mod. Also uses Kess's USS Tarawa LHA-1. For that it uses AV-8B DA. I made a Det of VMFA-542 of 4 AV-8B's to be launched from the USS Tarawa.

The LHA and carrier are already in the mod for you. The campaign files have been modified. Just install the F-14 yourself.
To install:
Extract to an empty folder on your desktop. Then drag and drop the files into your SF2:Europe NF4+ install and let it overwrite any and all files. *Caution* if you have a modded squadronlist.lst, back that up as it will overwrite yours.
Only install this if you want carriers ops.
Idea based on Kulbit80's mod in which I used his carrier coordinates.

I found the cockpit & runway lighting switched on too late for my liking & that once the cockpit lighting was finally turned on I still couldn’t read the gauges!
What dose this mod do?
----------------
(1). Adds brighter Cockpit Lights to all stock player flyable aircraft for SF2 I.
(2). Turns on Cockpit lights earlier in the evening for all stock player flyable aircraft for SF2 I.
(3). Turns on all Runway Lights earlier in the evening in the Stock SF2 I IsraelME Terrain.
Installation:
-------------
Place the contents of the “StrikeFighters2 Israel” folder found in this download in to your SF2 Israel Saved Game folder & overwrite when asked.
Note:
This will replace any modified stock Aircraft_COCKPIT.Ini you might be using!!!
This will also replace any modified stock IsraelME DESERT_AIRFIELD.Ini you might be using!!!
The Runway & cockpit lighting is controlled by the sunlight level in the game.
They will now turn on just before sunset on a clear day & even earlier on an overcast or Inclement day as the light level will be lower due to cloud cover.

Well here is my first mod for the SF2 series.
I hope you find it useful.
What dose it do?
----------------
(1). Adds canopy animation to all stock player flyable aircraft for SF2 I.
(2). Adds landing lights to all stock player flyable aircraft for SF2 I.
Installation:
-------------
Place the contents of the “StrikeFighters2 Israel” folder found in this download in to your SF2 Israel Saved Game folder & overwrite when asked.
Note:
This will replace any modified stock Aircraft_DATA.Ini you might be using!!!
Open & close the canopy: Animation 1 (Shift+1)
Landing lights: work in conjunction with your navigation lights (Ctrl+L)
Known issues:
-------------
It seems that on the F-16 Nets, the landing light will not always be placed directly in the centre of the lens of the 3d model.
It may appear lower or higher depending on the loading placed on the main landing gear as the as it compresses or releases.

Grumman’s F-14 Tomcat could be described as the Marilyn Monroe of aircraft designs. Both were at once beautiful and flawed, with indelible public images and yet often misunderstood and misrepresented. Both also met untimely ends. For many, the aircraft will always be remembered as the star of the hit 1986 movie Top Gun, but the Tomcat was a real weapon on the front lines of the Cold War, personifying the technological prowess and advanced production methods that the Soviet Union could not match, and which eventually drove them to break their economy in the attempt to keep up. For me personally, it will always be associated with the three years my family lived in Virginia Beach, near NAS Oceana, in the early 1980s. I vividly remember all of the jets that used to fly over our house—Skyhawks, Intruders, Phantoms and especially Tomcats. With their twin tails and swing-wings they had to be the coolest things in the air, and in retrospect I believe they really were. --c5
This aircraft is dedicated to our departed friend and Cheif of Production, Oli.
