I would say both .. have to see it ingame for my self.. than I can decide.. but looks damn good tank you very much!

I like #1, but its hard to say based on a screenshot. Both are great and much better than anything we currently have! :good:

Going by the 15 yrs of my life spent/wasted in the M.East I'd have to go with 2, looks more natural like dunes that I've seen either flying over or driving on (weeee) :biggrin:

A funny thing happened in TE (as always). I *think* I found large sand dunes in GTOPO30 data using TerrainEditor to develop "small" 1500km Siberia terrain, I stumbled over large areas in Mongolia with sheets of 3D terrain logg rolls in otherwise vast flat terrain areas: Example below. This is real 3D elevation in the terrain HFD file, showing correct sunlight shading. The areas where I found these rolls I think pretty much corresponded to larger desert Mongolian regions according to GoogleEarth.

However, in the 6 Million Meter Map, using double Height Field Resolution to save on map memory size (4x worth), I lost all except a hint of these rolling loggs.

hard to decide from screenshots, but 2 seems it could look repetitive , #1 feels more variable.

OMG. It was hard, but I choose the #2. The first it's too waved. Looks like somebody wrinkled (?) it too much... :buba:
