View File R 91 FS Charles de Gaulle 1.What inclued: 1x aircraft carrier, R91 Charles de Gaulle the aircraft carrier is the flagship of the French Navy,I don't think I need to introduce too much about such a famous ship; 2.Note: According to available information, the most "obvious" defenses on the R 91 are several VLSs that launch Aster15, so I reserved their launch positions, but you need to get them(I mean the missile) from Whiteboysamurai's work such as "Horizon Forbin class", because he is not under Freeware license, so I will not include his work here; As for the remaining 20mm machine guns, I did not add them because their role in SF2 is very limited; 3.Usage: Unzip and copy Objects folder to where your game is installed; 4.Credits: (1)Sameh Aransa(offsite user): Original models and textures; (2)ME: port models to game add a lot of detail objects,do a lots of animation and texture works; Submitter simonmiller416 Submitted 11/13/2024 Category Aircraft Carriers

That's a concrete tip, thanks! I will remember on it, when it happens again. P.S.: All was okay with WOFF since UE, I haven't had this poblem all the time. And now after new dll-installation and patch 1.06 all is okay again. So I hope this issue is past now. Good, that we have contact about it. Thanks for support! Greetings

Hi, welcome back! Consider donating or contributing to keep CA alive! This way you need not worry about a limit of 2 or 5. It needs a lot of effort and moolah and the limitations also prevent people from leeching the site content. Hope you like the current choice in mods! Cheers!

OK, you may need to swap the , and . in the number system in windows as per the FAQ if you have more issues to see if that helps too. section 5. Best to contact us in future on the WOFF support if you need to send the log files etc. and you have tried the settings in the FAQ.

sometime you also have to edit the alpha channel of the gunsight tga, as it's not fully transparent in the "show though" regions. you can see on the image below, the shape is not pure white (0 opacity). Meaning: you have to redraw the lines to make it fully transparent

Hello everyone, I actually think it is more flexible and practical to go with 'HUD'methods for shoot cue. I am getting used to adjusting and udnerstanding the conversation between 256 to 'HUD size" in-game. Despite that the gunisght become less bright, it is only for IRM / AAM though. Other than that, the HUD is back to being bright. Here is screenshot of A-4s and Mark 8 gunsight When having a lock on MiGs with AIM-9B, the inner circle moves to MiGs ti infor me that there is missile lock: It is still more 'immersive' this way, therefore "lore friendly' ways of implementing accessbility. This is awesome! I also realize that I can re-adjust the seat position so the gunsight does not appear beyond the reflector glass. Eagle114th

Ah, me again. How are your today? So, I need a few tester ,if you are interested please DM me. Basically this is based on several PLA modern ships. About a year ago, I found that many people involved in the test reported that they would encounter CTD when summoning them. The strange thing is that this never happened in my SF2. This problem has troubled me for nearly a year. I recently had a CTD situation after deleting the Flightengine.ini in the Flight folder for some testing needs, the I put it back, no CTD. I did make some changes to Flightengine.ini for performance optimization. Maybe I caught a rat, but I need more evidence...So if you are interested in participating in this test, please let me know.

Strike Fighters 2 has two major limitations compared to modern sims: no multiplayer and no native VR support. Minor limitations include dated terrain system (low resolution meshes) and things like air-to-air refueling. But if you are primarily interested in having fun flying a huge variety of aircraft, some of which are modeled as well as many current sims, in a huge variety of terrains and historical scenarios, nothing can beat Strike Fighters 2. Being an older sim, it tends to run very well on modern PCs, but sometimes encounters gpu driver issues as updated drivers are released. Despite its age, it tends to run just fine on Windows 10 (and I presume Windows 11 as I haven't tried it on 11). Some people do encounter technical issues running it on modern PCs/Windows. I love VR and was a proponent of online multiplayer when Strike Fighters Project 1/WoX series had a basic, limited multiplayer. DCS World expanded to include many of my favorite Cold War era aircraft such as the MiG-21, F-5, F-86, MiG-15, and UH-1 and now have finally added may all-time favorite, the F-4. So, I switched to DCS World quite some time ago. I was able to get SF2 to run in VR using a third party software package called vorpX, but that package was constantly updated, which periodically broke SF2 support. The stock cockpits were never designed for looking outside of certain view angle limits and are therefore incredibly ugly in VR. SF2 shines with historical missions packed with AI all over the map: great dogfights, intense AAA/SAMS, etc. The dynamic campaigns are somewhat historically accurate in scope and feel. The problem is that an accurate Vietnam campaign means there aren't many MiGs to fight, and you often get tasked with bombing the same meaningless targets mission after mission. Israel is where the historical action is with lots of combat with short range mission profiles. The fictional campaign allows you to fly as a mercenary pilot in a war between fictional countries in the middle east where you earn money to buy better planes and build a squadron. Overall, SF2 can be set up to give you whatever you want out of combat flight simming as long as you don't mind the aforementioned limitations. But you won't see the real benefit until you realize the volume of mods available. Almost anything you can imagine from WWI to the 1980s is available, though you will need the separate game using the same engine, First Eagles 2 , for the WW I experience. If you have the cash, the complete SF2 package will all games/expansions/DLC for $100 is a bargain, then $40 more for First Eagles 2 if you like biplane combat. On the other hand, if you have a decent PC/gpu and like the idea of VR, DCS World and the IL-2 Battle/Flying Cirucs series offers brilliant graphics, decent multiplayer, and the amazing immersion of VR.

if you are not looking to replicate the exact experience of flying a combat aircraft (checklists, switches, comms etc) i second the suggestion for SF2. out of all the combat sims, it has the largest set of free third party mods ranging from terrains and campaigns to skin sets to fly a given aircraft for any nation or unit you may desire. and if we dont have what you want, its quite easy to mod and create for yourself what you want
