Soon 12 years without an update ...TK does not reward the loyalty of this 20+ year-old active community of modders, skinners and players ! One day someone could decide to crack the game - in order to have this "dreamed update" - because of this abandonment after having dangled a Windows 10 version... several years ago. P.

For FE2, I would definitely recommend gTerl's excellent, various Italian map terrains (as indicated above). Also very good are Stary's enhancements to stock western front terrains in FE2 (the latter were done for FE/FEgold, but work just as well in FE2). Regarding plane mods, I suggest looking at Stephen1918's hangar - superb and rare WWI aircraft may be found there, such as the Siemens-Schuckert D.I, etc. For flight model/damage model tweaks and enhancements, as well as for flight models to several beta aircraft done by Geezer years ago and never fully completed, recommended is to check the "about me" tab under my main CombatAce profile for more info. and/or mod information. FE2, properly modded, has some of the best flight models in any WWI flight sim (including when compared with Rise of Flight). Good flying to you,

Personally I think the level (or really lack) of enthusiasm for the Win10 patch told TK that the community (I donated though) wasn't very interested in anything new for the game. Sure he can use some of the money from mobile purchases to fund a new patch, but that's not a foregone conclusion, and probably what he makes off of mobile sales keeps the mobile aspect going rather than any hopes for a Win10 patch. But I don't know TK so that's just rampant speculation, but that's how I felt about it. Maybe there's something in the works, maybe not, but as Coupi inferred, it's not looking good after so long of a stretch. I mean if Nuclear Option allowed modding then you can probably go to that as it's newer, but I have it and flown it in a long time, mainly because there's not much to do except free fly, which I also do in SF2 nowadays.

It's definitely up there! It doesn't stray too far away from the basics, right out of the box so to speak. Vanilla gameplay is pure, simplistic and straight forward. I played it without ANY mods for years, as I was the paranoid type with trusting sites, links and whatnot for obvious reasons. I don't regret waiting as long as I did, I mean the mods keep coming and the community is still alive and well!
