5 pointsi´m currently working to finish all the F-4E cockpits and upload them as soon as im done with it ( will only work with F-4E´s made by me ) there is something with the F-4D and early F-4E radar that i like to fix , first there is no extra PPI screen in this radars the PPI screen came with the DSCG display (F-4E Block60 up ) about 1974 before that there was only the radar screen as in the F-4D even for the PPI display , next is the Radar display itself for the F-4D i added the lines on the display in green for a better contrast but that is wrong this lines where not part of the Radar display itself they where incraved in to the glas in front ( for the rear cockpit ) and in to a lense ( front cockpit ) therfor this lines should not look green at all they should be more grey or white the PPI mistake happen because i use a F-4E cockpit to make the F-4D cockpit and did not think about the early radar display , as i mention befor i´m getting old this is how it looks right now in the F-4D cockpit and this is how it will look after the update i'm preparing this is how it is going to look in game and the correct PPI display the F-4E radars will look exactly like that , the first with the more modern DSCG display will be the F-4E_75 something i dont know is if the late F-4D`s (after1984 ) did get the more modern display as well but all infos so far say no the latest manual i have for the F-4D is the Weapons Delivery Manual from 1976 / 1977 and this one is still showing the old standard radar display an other change happen with the Gun Sight Mode Selector Knob , currently it works as a Radar Mode Selector Knob but i set it back to the HUD_MODE_INDIDCATOR funktion so it will work as it should if you select the Cage mod so there is an other update coming soon

3 pointsI just finish to reread Tom Clancy's "Debt of honor". Was an fantastic scenario around the islands of Saipan and Guam in Pacific Ocean. The islands were captured by the Japanese and the US Navy was going to fight down F-15J's and Mistubishi F-2 with only one carrier group of F-14's and F-18's. Would be a nice terrain. Or what do you think?

2 pointsReal life has been getting in the way of me wrapping up the Euro Phantoms of the 184th TFG recently, which has been a blessing in disguise as I've been able to do a little more research. Through photos I've been able to determine there were (3) variations in 184th TFG markings on the Euro birds. Top- Color AFOUA inline with subdued 184th TFG patch on intakes with colored Jayhawks tailband. Middle- Colored Jayhawks tailband. Bottom- Subdued markings. I'm working on the nose gear door numbers and tail numbers for these birds.

2 pointsi would venture to say no, as almost all were in training units or ANG units by 1984, and the focus was more on getting the next generation in, not upgrading the older one.

2 pointssomebody told me a while ago that the radar texture in SF2 is hardcoded to 256 x256 that is not true , i simply changed the value below [RadarDisplay] ViewportTextureSize=1024 and now i have a very clear and sharp radar texture and i cult even add some small details to it that would not show up with a texture size of 256 x 256 final radar texture based a the F-4D weapons delivery manual from 1976

F-22A Raptor Add-on October 13th, 2021 (1st Release) by yakarov79, baffmeister, Crusader, guuruu and Menrva >For Strike Fighters 2 games This is a high quality add-on of the F-22A Raptor aircraft. The original model had been made by Heberth, and it was released in alpha stage. Upon noticing room for improvement, yakarov79 helped finalize the 3d model with numerous, additional details; accurate pylons and rail launchers, new external fuel tanks, highly detailed rack and small diameter bomb 3d models, canopy and thrust-vectoring animations, high-res skin with specular and bump maps, updated cockpit model, and so on. A realistic, well-thought flight model has been produced by our expert, baffmeister. Moreover, Crusader offered his great expertise to improve upon his previous modification for the Raptor's avionics. All their efforts have raised the quality bar of the project I had started; much credits to them all. I further polished the package by adding historically accurate weapon loadouts, my selection of sounds (including authentic engine samples by guuruu), realistic camouflage shapes and colours, reworked decals for the actual USAF's F-22A squadrons, new cockpit textures and other tweaks here and there. Each squadron has got historically correct serial numbers, and they appear in chronological order in the loadout screen; the serial numbers at the bottom of the list are those of aircraft that joined that squadron for last, while the serials at the beginning of the list indicate those aircraft that were available to that squadron for first. Like you would expect in an opera omnia, I even reproduced three unique paint schemes of real Raptors; the air superiority camouflage of the EMD 91-4001 Prototype of September 1997, the temporary "Blue Nose" decoration of the "Cripes A'Mighty" Raptor assigned to the 149th Fighter Squadron in April 2010, and a generic Mid-Production livery sporting the markings of the last Raptor ever produced that flew for the first time in March 2012. Templates by yakarov79, tweaked by yours truly, are included for your skinning fantasies. Notes: -The cockpit is not yet accurate, as various details couldn't be reworked due to RL and time constraints. We were working on a brand new cockpit with accurate HUD and displays. Slimers with correct illumination were also planned. Hopefully they will be a thing in a future re-release. -The aircraft folder is named "F-22A", just like the one included in a number of mod packages which use an old 3d model by Dels. In order to avoid mismatches and bugs of any sort, it's highly suggested to either remove or rename the aircraft folder using Dels' Raptor 3d model. -GPS guidance bombs (EOGB) do not work as intended in SF2, there are issues about them not locking on target and about AI behaviour. The GBU-39 has been set as an EOGR, so it works like a missile; this is a needed workaround to have them loaded properly on a rack while keeping the GPS guidance property. -You need to tweak the SoundList.ini file in order to fully experience any new sounds. Read "(Add to SoundList)" for further details, and remember to extract the SoundList.ini file from the FlightData.cat archive, if you do not have a custom one in your mod folder already. >Credits (in no particular order): -Heberth, for making this (once forgotten) fantastic 3d model.-Heberth, for making this (once forgotten) fantastic 3d model. -Julhelm, for sharing the files of his superb F-22A cockpit 3d model, allowing yakarov79 to improve upon it. -yakarov79, for his invaluable help in finalizing the 3d model and remaking the base textures; you have my gratitude. -baffmeister, for his excellent flight model; it's thanks to him if this beauty flies as good as it looks. -Crusader, for reworking the avionics enhancement made for Julhelm's F-22A cockpit, and for improving the AIM missiles. -simonmiller416, for his smokeless rocket effects mod and for reproducing the experimental chrome coating skin seen on Raptor 04-4065. -guuruu, for sharing his RWR symbols improvement mod and for making better engine sounds. -ravenclaw_007, for the AIM missiles from his top notch Weapons Pack 2, the GBU-32 JDAM bomb and the ACES II seat 3d models. -viper63a, for his old F-22A USAF Raptors Redux package, from which I borrowed decals. -mue, for his LOD Viewer which helped immensely in the making of the skins. -Cocas, for further help given to Heberth for the aircraft's 3d model. -My girlfriend, for supporting me in all of my endeavors. Additional ReadMe files by yakarov79 and baffmeister have been included among few others; be sure to read those to know about their work in better detail. >Disclaimer: This is a freeware; yet it can be redistributed ONLY in other CombatACE mods/mod packages. This mod may NOT in any way, shape or form be used in any payware additions. -
1 pointif your using my tail num template, a good way to do door numbers is to do tail nums first, then turn off the "AFxx" layer and save the three digit num as the nose number. the Tinker Phantoms i pm'd you last week have the decal entry for that so you dont have to dance it around so much

1 pointthis is the old, SF1 original version (not fully updated to SF2, but easily done). There's also a couple of fixes in the SF2 Terrains section that give in minor upgrades Use it as a base, if you want

1 pointFrom what my father was able to recall, no. He was with the 184th TFG Kansas Air National Guard during the Phantom days and he advised during the mid to late 80's no modifications/upgrades were funded for the D's as they had all but left the Active-Duty Air Force. He stated anything done would have had to be funded by the AF Reserves or Air National Guard, which was focusing on the F-15's and F-16's coming into their inventory.

1 pointi´m not able to work on any mods right now but i thought that i can share something i did last year when i made my first AN/ALQ-101 ecm pod some years ago i did not have any of the reference material i have today , like manuals and original blue prints and pictures , so the first ALQ-101 pods i made are wrong by the dimensions and as well as the type names for it , that was the reason i started last year and made some new AN/ALQ-101 ecm pods thiis is what i came up with QRC-335A / AN/ALQ-101 AN/ALQ-101A with RAT AN/ALQ-101 (V)2 early version AN/ALQ-101 (V)2 late version AN/ALQ-101 (V2 Special , this are ecm pods for a specific threat expected on the mission the red markings are painted over the existing ones , this pods where always carried in a pair with an normal AN/ALQ-101 (V)2 pod ( early or late ) AN/ALQ-101 (V)3 AN/ALQ-101 (V)4 , USAF and German Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)6 , USAF and Israeli Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)8 , USAF and Iran Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)8 , Royal Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)9 , USAF and Iran Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)10 , USAF AN/ALQ-101 (V) 10 , German Air Force AN/ALQ-101 (V)10 , Royal Air Force all this ecm pods are in this pack , includet are new Loadout.ini for the Buccaneer because of new names for the UK pods , just drop them in to the respective folder and let overwrite if ask to PLEASE remove or delete any existing AN/ALQ-101 pods before you install this new ones ALQ-101 Pack.7z some reference material an F-4D with to AN/ALQ-101 (V)2 pods , the one in front is the one marked special original blue print from westinghouse by going true my Iran Air Force picture i came across this ecm pod , it is clearly an AN/ALQ-101 like the (V)8 but a short version of it , so i start searching for info material on a short version (V)8 and found this page in an T.O. !F-4C-35 manual and there is an AN/ALQ-101 (V)9 listed with a total lenght of 112 inches , so i found the short version pod , i just had no clue that this pod existed and that the Iranian Air Force got them the Iranian Air force modified this ecm pod to an X-Band pod around 2015 with a frequency range from 6.2 to 10.9 Ghz , the call it the Shahin X Band electronic warfare pod this pod is includet in the pack , picture is below Shahin X Band ecm pod have fun with the pods , ravenclaw_007
