2 pointsThe legendary SU-34 fighter bomber! This is a SFP2 Thirdwire Sukhoi SU-34 Fullback Platypus Duck WIP (stand-in) candidate. I got tired of seeing the empty SU-34 slot at Combatace :). It is basically finished unless someone has a 3d-model I can use. It is based it on the Marcfighters SU-27. I used the fake pilot method to add the hump, canards, much longer tailcone stinger and co-pilot. The cockpit is based on the B-1 bomber cockpit by Alvaroideal. The fake pilot method means the camouflage scheme and additions are a bit limited but if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck then it must be a duck! The data.ini has been modified to represent the Duck. It has a bigger signature among many other electronic and flight model tweaks and is a magnet for enemy fighters. In reality the SU-34 is a much heavier and larger aircraft than the SU-27. Its cockpit is slathered in heavy armor. It flies heaviier as well. The SU-34 eliminated the airbrake on top according to every source I could find. The real Duck includes a resemblance of a toilet, resemblance of a kitchen and a resemblance of bunk space for sleeping. Although it can do effective air combat, this is not its primary role. Imagine dogfighting in a bomber! The Su-34 is seven tons heavier at empty weight and larger compared to the standard SU-27. That's going to have an effect during air combat. 2 pointsHello everyone! I have two thigns to report today: Firstly, my apologize, I did not realize that I accidentaly set "Had lead sight" to true for ADs / A-1s Skyradier series. It is fixed for next version of SF - CAP. It also includes the fixes for the gunsight missing a piece of reticle for gunsight. By the way, the work on Wings Over Korea F4U-4s and F4U-5s are now completed, including the fixes for F4U-5NL radar being upside. Here is screenshot of F4U-4 / 4B, F4U-5, and F4U-6 (AU-1) with Mark 8 gunsight: F4U-5NL with Mark 20 Mod 4 gunsight and AN/APS-19A radar Eagle114th

1 pointHello everyonoe! The work on F-82G Twin Mustang was a quite challenging due to the challenging research looking for hte picture of the radar itself. What I learned is that F-82G carries the same radar used in P-61 known as SCR-720C18. By luck, found this gem; the pictures of P-61 radar scope! I noticed that it looks simliar to An/APS-4 radar used in AD-2. After creating the textures for the radar of F_82G while implementing the K14 / K-14B gunsights, it works great in SF2. This is from Wings Over Korea: (NOTE: There is no radar scope in F-82G cockpit, so you will need to use radar windows to view the radar.) Eagle114th

1 pointThe ailerons are working on the TA-4J The control surfaces are never animated in the 3D model, it's ini only moves. Issues from the 3D model are pivot points or rotation axes (and even rotation axes can be changed in the data.ini file). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's the OA-4M and it's a line missing in the data.ini file : "InputName=ROLL_CONTROL" [LeftAileron] SystemType=CONTROL_SURFACE InputName=ROLL_CONTROL MaxDeflection=20.0 MinDeflection=-20.0

1 pointThanks Gepard and EricJ. My modelling skills are not good enough to make the nose flat by myself. Farid sent me a model I might be able to use. Thank you Farid!

1 pointCF-104, canadian winged rocket. Not the best plane, but a beauty.

1 pointhave you googled the serial numbers? also while youre discussing F-105, is it possibly from a F-84 instead? finally, a little more detail on where found, when etc would help edit: damn slow site, RC beat me to commenting, and id go with his assessment

1 pointIn a not to far future, when Canada has become a member of the EU, the Canadian Air Force will use Eurofighters instead F-35.

1 pointSome interesting ideas, judging from the current images, the J-36 has a lot of space inside the fuselage, so many people imagine that it will have a very large weapons bay, and even be able to carry ballistic missiles such as the DF-21 inside. I recall that Northrop had a patent for a "weapons tray" during the ATF project. If, and I mean if, the J-36 implements this technology in the huge weapons bay...28xPL-15... Well of course, I don't think this is realistic, both technically and practically, so I don't think I'll do it. Interesting tho...

1 pointyes but lets get to the real questions: did you get enough ice cream after the tonsils and when do they activate the mutation making you invincible? j/k of course. it sounds like things are mostly going the right way, here's hoping it keeps on getting better

1 pointDisplay look like this in MSDG series just with different hertz.
-
1 pointAs i mentioned up there,DVST & MSDG had analog version of APQ-120. they can't show any numbers or words or even range & azimuth gride, so they draw range & azimuth on Scope glass like this, technically DVST & MSDG scopes hadn't any difference in front cockpit.

1 pointIf we don't count on what they upgraded (Only US Air Force F-4E's because export versions have another story) F-4E 31_45 Blocks was DVST : 66-284 thru 69-7589 ( F-4E 46&47 only made for IRAN) F-4E 48-59 Blocks was MSDG : 71-237 thru 73-01204 F-4E 60-63 Blocks was DSCG : 74-00643 and up Later They upgraded some DVST & MSDG to DSCG

1 pointWe had a few types of APQ-120 radars on the Phantom. The first series was the APQ-120D, which were completely analog and this F-4E's did not carry a television-guided weapon like the Maverick, and they did not have TISEO. They are called DVST or Direct View Storage Tube. Since the display was analog, it only showed the radar images directly to the pilots without any changes and did not have the ability to draw any numbers on the screens. The second series was the APQ-120E. An analog-to-digital adapter was installed on these so the analog radar images could be displayed on a digital display. In this way, the display was digital, so also show images of television-guided weapons and TISEO. These Phantoms are called MSDG or Multiple Sensor Display Group. despite the radar images, the display of this version had a new mode called TV, which showed images of the television-guided weapons and TIESO. The last one was the APQ-120F. This series was called DSCG or Digital Scan Converter Group In this series, a series of parts and computers were digitized, so the radar display changed to show digital information and was no longer analog in this series This series of Phantoms found the ability to carry television-guided weapons and various optical pods, unlike the first series It could also draw numbers and various writings It also showed images of television-guided weapon and TISEO.

0 pointsThank you again, my friends. A PET scan confirmed cancer in both tonsils and three lymph nodes total on both sides. Today, I completed an MRI to determine the cancer stage; hopefully, it is not stage 3 or 4, inshallah (God willing). I may go to the UK for treatment soon, if all goes well. Most likely, The Royal Marsden Private Care. Wish me the best and a speedy recovery. 🙏 Sincerely, Mohamad. Yes 😆
