    SF2 TMF K'fir C2 & C7 (IDF) Upgrade/Remod Pack 4/15/2024 -For SF2, Any and All-(SF2:I and/or Full 5 Merged Suggested) This is a full upgrade/remod pack for The Mirage Factory's IAI K'firs as used by the Israeli Defense Force Air Force. Included in this package are 2 full aircraft, with several skins: Kfir C2: 101 Squadron 109 Squadron 149 Squadron (all in 2-tone greys) Kfir C7: 144 Squadron (3-tone camo) They are set up and labeled to cause NO conflicts with the Kfir available as stock within the game or any others that may exist. Skins remain in their original bmp format. National markings are painted on, and my (Patent Pending) fake insignia and SqTail decals are active, allowing the squadron's name & Nation Name to be displayed on the Loadout screen. Serial number Decal Randomization is TRUE. All necessary items are provided, serial number decals, weapons (drop tanks), pilots, seats, sounds, effects, and so forth. Some, you've probably got already!!! If I missed any, PLEASE let me know and I'll get it fixed. When in-game, on the Aircraft Selection Drop down you'll see: Kfir C2 (TMF) and Kfir C7 (TMF) So you can't mistake them for anything other than TMF Birds (tm).     This edit in the original file allows you to fly as if you were the wingman of the formation. You continue to be the leader, and giving orders to the rest of the squad, but flying as the right wing, giving the radio command 1-8-6. To return to the original formation, just perform the radio command 1-8-3. I like it, because I like flying as a wingman and "inserting" myself into the maneuvers and following the "leader", giving more immersion to the flight. You just need to be careful when flying with nations where the pilots have "poor skills", as during the maneuvers the "leader" can spread and collide with you. In this case, before the "action begins", I suggest giving the command 1-8-1 so that he moves away so that a collision does not occur.     SF2 IAI Dagger (FAA) by The Mirage Factory Upgrade/Remod Pack 4/4/2024 -For SF2, Any and All-(Full 5 Merged Suggested) This is a full upgrade/remod pack for The Mirage Factory's IAI Dagger as used by the Argentine Air Force (Fuerza Aérea Argentina or FAA). Skins remain in their original bmp format. All necessary items are provided, weapons, pilots, seats, sounds, effects, and so forth (most weapons used ARE stock 3W items, with few exceptions). This is a "nationalized" single-user only aircraft. This aircraft is supplied with 3 skins: Camo with NO ID bands (original skin) Camo with Blue ID Bands Camo with Yellow ID Bands (both with a 1982 start date) All skins use the same 'pool' of 39 ID/serial numbers. All serials are 100% hisorically accurate. As can be expected, the SF2 Date Switch (tm) is active, although the 2 Color Banded Birds (tm) both have the 1982 start date for use during the Falkland War (as best as my research could narrow down) Also, the Date Switch is used on the Loadout ini, as newer missiles become available. When in-game, on the Aircraft Selection Drop-down you'll see: Dagger (TMF) So you can't mistake them for anything else but TMF Birds (tm). Contents of the modification are the copyright of their respective authors. Notes about the installer Beware, the mod is available only in the ISO format. You can either mount it on a virtual drive, burn it on a DVD like in the good old days, or unzip it with 7-Zip or equivalent software. The installer will automatically detect your installation of the required Strike Fighters 2 games by reading through the registry keys. Game folders that are copied from or manually moved from where they were originally installed are not supported. You need all three aforementioned Strike Fighters 2 games and they must be installed with ThirdWire's original installers, not manually copied from other sources nor moved elsewhere after installation to other folders or drives. If you do not meet any of these requirements, installation cannot proceed and you are on your own. If you install all required games properly, the installation of the mod will proceed correctly as intended. The installer then lets you choose where to install the mod folder; you can even install the mod on a different drive or partition than the one where Strike Fighters 2 is installed. No further user input nor manual edits after installation are ever required; the installer takes care of creating all proper links to your desired path for the mod folder. After installation is over, simply run the mod by using the created Desktop and/or Start Menu links. If you have a previous version of the mod installed, please use the uninstaller to remove it completely. Clean installation is mandatory. You might want to make a backup of the Controls folder, so that you can easily restore your controller settings afterwards. Suggestions on common issues Make sure that you are using your dedicated GPU. By default, Strike Fighters 2 usually selects the integrated GPU you may have on your CPU, which is much weaker in terms of VRAM. In case you have frequent crashes or black/missing textures, I highly suggest you download and install the DXVK graphics wrapper (x86 DLLs) into your Strike Fighters 2 game folder: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk. You need a Vulkan-compatible GPU. The wrapper can greatly improve the experience with the mod. With DXVK I can play the mod on a mere Intel UHD 710, whereas without it the mod would always crash to desktop. Go to Sound and set Sound Channels to 32. We got reports that 16 is not enough and will cause crashes on some systems, due to the higher quality sounds included within the mod. The mod is pretty heavy for the game engine despite huge optimizations. Strike Fighters 2's engine is 32bit only and apparently does not manage VRAM properly; consecutive campaign missions might show black/missing textures on objects or cause crashes to desktop because the game does not release the occupied VRAM from the previous mission you played, thus the more missions are loaded consecutively, the more easily you may run out of memory. Set Ground Objects to Medium or Low, Horizon Distance to Near, and Shadows to Medium or Low. These are the most troubling settings. Avoid Unlimited settings as much as possible. If the mod used to work and suddenly crashes to desktop, updating or reinstalling video drivers should help. Make sure that DirectX June 2010 Redistributables are also installed, they are included inside the ISO disk image of the mod. Inside the mod folder, you'll find some extra text files. "(Coalition Order of Battle)" should be of your interest; the mod's terrain covers the entirety of Iraq, at the cost of not having all of Saudi Arabia; this means that a number of important units are based on airbases that are beyond the in-game playable area. With those units you always spawn near the target area, you'll never get to start from a runway nor to land on the assigned runway beyond the invisible wall. You have an entire list of the affected units in the aforementioned text file. By pressing ALT+N, the plane returns to base automatically. The mod is fully compatible with the Campaign Customizer and Mission Editor DLCs by ThirdWire. The Campaign Customizer might be an alternative way to experience those off map units I mentioned previously, since it assigns you to a random airbase of the in-game flyable area. Escort missions are often broken, this is not an issue of the mod, but a bug of the stock game; sometimes the AI flight you escort does not engage its target and keeps flying in a straight line instead of following waypoints, thus the trigger for mission success will never happen. Abandon the mission or retry it if the issue happens, sometimes it works. Pray for ThirdWire AKA Tsuyoshi Kawahito to work on a 64bit version of Strike Fighters 2, maybe even with support for DirectX 12. With that done, any out of memory issues should become an old memory.

    FW 190F, this is my final version of this device that includes all the experimental effects never seen in this simulator, this pack contains the plane with its corresponding cockpit with 3 historical skins, the new luftwaffe pilot (there are 2 lods, one with goggles and one without goggles, the pilot with goggles is worn by default). and many weapons used by this bird (including the disposable wing tanks of the FW190G version) The F variant had the same blown canopy as the late versions of the FW190D series and is a specialized ground attack aircraft.     SF2NA A-4C_65 Pack = Tested in SF2NA, Full-5 Merged This project started as a personal customization to improve historically the skins for the CVW-1 A-4C_65's Squadrons aboard JFK in her maiden cruise. So,I realize them basically to be used in the Northern Sabre 69 present in the SF2NA Expansion Pack. The skins are based on the superb Nyghtfall's templates,so much of the credit will be deserved by him. All the decals was done by me. All the Bu.Nos are historically correct for all three Squadrons. ========== To Install: As always raccomended,all in the relative folders in your game(s) ----------------------------- Credits: 3W for the A-4C_65 model. This first Volume depicts the following Hellenic Air Force variants; the HAF F-5A standard, the HAF F-5A with the Martin Baker IRQ-7a ejection seat, and the HAF RF-5A reconnaissance variant. It has been our goal to provide to the simmer a highly detailed model and texture base which preserve the beautiful lines of this aircraft; and to engineer flight files and a cockpit/gauge file-set that are authentic and add to the immersion of the flying experience within the Strike Fighters 2 series. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: -------------------------- 1. Copy the contents of the "To Mods Folder(S)" to your SF2 Mod directory. Allow directory merging and overwrites, provided the overwrites pertain to "fake pilot" entries, as well as weapons made by ravenclaw_007, which are included in this and many other releases. 2. Add the entries of "ADD_TO_SOUNDLIST.txt" to your SOUNDLIST.INI (located in the "user\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Flight" folder).If one does not exist, then you will need to extract it using the 3rdWire CAT extract utility. You are simply required to substitute the "XXX"s with the next sequential number in the sound file section of the file. NOTE 1: ------------ Both Regular and Higher resolution cockpit textures are included in their own distinct folders in the package. The user may alternate between the two by "commenting out" the relevant line in the F-5A_STANDARD_COCKPIT.ini [CockpitData] //Directory=cockpit Directory=cockpit_Lo-Fi <---This is the default In order to "activate" the higher resolution textures you would decomment the previous line and comment out the next line, thus: [CockpitData] Directory=cockpit <---This is now Hi-Res //Directory=cockpit_Lo-Fi NOTE 2: ------------ Another frame-rate friendly option for those with older hardware is to use the Next level of Detail Model as the primary external model.     Very short nose FW 190A3, this is my final version of this device that includes all the experimental effects never seen in this simulator, this pack contains the plane with 1 historical skin and a clean one so you can fly with the nation you like, the new Luftwaffe pilot (there are 2 lods, one with glasses and one not, the pilot with glasses is worn by default).     includet in this pack are B61-1 USAF B61-2 USN B61-3 USAF , W-Germany , Italy B61-4 USAF , W-Germany , Italy B61-5 USAF B61-7 USAF B61-10 USAF B61-11 USAF B61-12 USAF , USN ? all effects you need to get this bombs working ( dont know who made them ) i made several versions of each bomb version , if a bomb has only a minimum and a maximum kt setting i made a version for each of the settings , in case the Bomb has several kt setting options i made a version for each option i dont know if the USN will use the B61-12 but i includet the AttachmentType=USN for it to install PLEASE remove all existing bombs with the same or similar name as the bombs in this pack BEFORE you install the new ones from your mod folder just drop the content of the includet folder in the respective folder of your mod folder Have Fun ravenclaw_007

    I was so sick of looking at the old Model of the Hercules SAM missile, that I decided to finally build one by myself. Learning the use of 3ds Max just for this purpose It's not a super-ultra detailed model with 10 thousands of polys, like you see sometimes these days , but it was never ment to be so. This package includes the minimum bundle to make the Nike Hercules system fully functional: new MIM-14 Hercules missile - 3D model, texture & .ini-work DaniloE31 (that's me) Nike 4x launcher - model by ErikGen, .ini-work DaniloE31 Nike LoPAR search radar - model by ErikGen, .ini-work DaniloE31 Nike TTR tracking radar - model by ErikGen, .ini-work DaniloE31 The ini's in this bundle are set to a network called "NIKE" and work together so they actually fire missiles at the Red Planes! You can install the pack in your ModFolder™\Objects\ , but in case you don't want to mess up your existing Nike Objects, you can also just take the following files: Weapons\MIM-14\Hercules.LOD Weapons\MIM-14\ Hercules_LOD002.LOD Weapons\MIM-14\Hercules.bmp and use the new missile.     SF2 A-4C(65) VA-113 'Stingers' Camo Skin Pack 9/4/2019 -For SF2, Any and All (Full Merged Reccomended) This is a new skin for the A-4C_65 Skyhawk, representing VA-113 "Stingers" during their Oct 1965-June 1966 deployment in South East Asia aboard USS Kitty Hawk. They were painted in an experimental 2-tone green camoflague, as were many other aircraft of CVW-11 at this time. The skin is in jpg format, in 2048x, from Nyghtfall's templates. 12 95% historically accurate Bunum decals are included. Decal randomization is TRUE. On the number list, those marked with a star (*) represent a combat or operational loss. The single number marked with the cross (+) is "best guess", as the squadron listing did =NOT= have a BuNum for A/C 305. The SF2 Date switch is NOT used; you will have to select this skin for each member of you flight. When in-game, on the aircraft selection drop down, Skin selection window you'll see: VA-113 (Camo 1965-66) As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions.
