  1. Something better, don't use SweetFX anymore, it's a PITA to install to make it work with SF2. Check the following link instead, it's a thread I made time ago about a great and way better alternative called ReShade FX; http://combatace.com/topic/86862-reshadefx-a-great-alternative-to-sweetfx/ It's simpler to make it work in SF2 once you get used to its framework / menu. Moreover it does include lots of effects including those of Sweet FX. All in all it's an upgraded Sweet FX, let's say.
  2. Thanks for the question, I forgot to say in my previous post that I added, thanks to Crusader's help/info he gave me, the two Iraqi oil terminals, Al-Bakr and Al-Omayeh, pretty much in their RL location. However for the time being Al-Omayeh is jus a copy of the Al-Bakr terminal. In the future I'll make some changes to it.
  3. Damned RL made me stop at it for a while. I managed to complete most of Iraq, now it's time to move the the Iranian coastline and add the missing rivers there, then I'll have to add the road tiles. Below I included two screenshots with TFD Tool, Mosul is good enough, the Kirkuk area is not close to reality instead (due to the 63% size of TW stock terrains). Two question/requests: 1) Speaking of road tiles, does anyone have a map which contains all main roads that I may need to add to the terrain? 2) Do we have a dam model? It is needed for Mosul, and somewhere else too I think.
  4. I forgot to make the request to be part of the political arena, now I guess it's the time, add me too, please.
  5. Interesting, baffmeister. If you manage to find an overall fix for this black screen problem, please share the info with us.
  6. This happens to me quite a lot, I think most likely it is due to the terrain or the entire mod install which is rather big and thus heavy on resources. Try lowering your gfx details in the options, it might help or not, I really have no clue.
  7. Moreover I've heard that a Turkish journalist has made a research, apparently he and his team have discovered that Erdogan is secretly arming ISIS (trucks carrying weapons have been discovered moving in and out of the country, the government made it appear as if the trucks were carrying humanitarian supplies, what a joke). He is now under trial, since Erdogan has accused him of espionage. If it were for me, the EU/NATO should cut its deals with Turkey immediately, they are up to no good. And then you wonder why the West hates Putin so much, we have another dictator called Erdogan which seems more dangerous atm.
  8. You've been super fast, mate! Some of these are so gorgeous and colorful that I'm afraid Uncle Sam will never make them like this, lol, but who cares, we have SF2 for our what if day dreaming. Nice job!
  9. Yes, there are about 100 topics here by now about this, and all have the same conclusion. Video drivers. You have to use old video drivers (I assume you have nVidia card), the latest version which seems bug free is, from what I remember, the 353.XX (don't remember exactly what numbers after the dot, but you get the idea). Search some of the threads in the SF2 general discussion section, you might find better info there.
  10. Top notch stuff as usual, Paulo! Great job!
  11. 180 wounded, 80 are reported in critical conditions... My condolences to the families of the victims.
  12. I might check some loadouts from two other games/simulators I own based on the F-22, although the loadouts were just based on guessing at the time these two games were made. Let's also keep in mind that the F-22, while it is indeed a stealth fighter jet, would carry external weapons too in case things get hot and in order to maximize the firepower against aerial targets (or even ground targets, but the F-22 was born for air superiority, even though it is capable of multirole ops).
  13. A welcome surprise! My favourite plane just got an upgrade, thanks Viper!
  14. Damn, I almost forgot about the TODs. Well, I can always borrow them from some tilesets and change the trees' gfx accordingly. After all, I've made many new transition tiles already for the snowy mountains and the Caspian Sea green-ish regions, borrowing TOD from other tiles and such. Some of our great artists here at CA will surely make a better tileset once the damned terrain gets released, so for now I consider my tileset as something that has to be replaced completely one day or another.
  15. Wow, this terrain is going to set new standards in SF2 terrain making. Keep up the good work, mate!
  16. My apologies if I misunderstood the tone of your post, Wrench. Yep, it seems like that I have to make such new river tiles, they're really needed. I wonder how many though, I'm a little worried that the terrain has 200 tiles (203 to be exactly) already. I'll have to do some clean up first, there's two or more tiles in the data.ini that are just copies of others. Thanks for the advice.
  17. There you go again... Does that mean that I'll give up with the terrain? Hell no. That just means that most likely I'll have to scrap the idea to put all minor rivers that are in the Kirkuk area, just check Google Earth and you'll know what I mean. Thanks.
  18. Don't worry, I know it's not a complain, and I agree with you, but when I started this terrain back then, I wanted to re-make the terrain that is in ODS and Operation Darius mod packages. So this terrain is an overhaul of that one, rebuilt mostly from zero. There is no way to extend the terrain now, that would mean that I have to scrap all the hard work I've done. Regarding Tehran, to the east there is in fact The Wall, but airports are placed well within the flyable area, so the AI has no problems at all, from what I've seen. I'm finishing to add rivers, still a considerable number to do, the whole Kirkuk area is very difficult to get right or as I'd like to.
  19. I have to agree, it seems like what is happening in Syria is a usual fight, but it isn't at all. Turkey fights the Kurds but not ISIS, Turkey is in the NATO that bombs ISIS and supports the Kurds, Russia bombs ISIS but also the Free Syrian Army fighting Assad... Man, what a mess.
  20. I don't know why, Wrench, but it seems that the YF-12A was indeed black, because it was after all a pre-production version; just check the wiki, there are some photos there, although I fear that one is of a SR-71 Blackbird: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_YF-12 Viper just planned to recreate, by my request, the pre-production YF-12A version (despite of the fact that there were only three of those), not an additional skin for the what if interceptor F-12A, that is all. It had nothing to do with the usual "Attack" designation, according to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_A-12 Most likely hence why the YF-12A was black, because they took some of the existing A-12s and converted them to interceptors.
  21. Well, actually this package contains a historically correct skin that represents the YF-12, not a fictional F-12A as if it went into full production, so I'd rather keep the plane's name as Viper set it, of course all end users are free to rename it to whatever they like. Thanks a lot Viper, you made my day.
  22. May he RIP, my condolences to his family. I don't live in the US nor I am American, but in my country the TV often broadcasts the episodes of Law & Order, in which he played a major acting role.
  23. Thanks for sharing these beautiful poems!
  24. Nice one, Viper! I once tried to make a black skin for the YF-12A re-released by Wrench for SF2, but it didn't look all that great IMHO. I hate doing requests, but if you can, can you consider doing such a skin for the YF-12A? I have some photos of the real YF-12A, with serial number, etc.
