Pity we don't have a proper and legal Su-37. Thanks for the skinpack anyway. Anything that is AC related makes me excited. Can't wait for AC7. BTW, just for the readers' interest, Yellow 13 is actually based on WW2 German ace Hans-Joachim Marseille. Ace Combat might tell fictional stories in a fictional world, but there are many connections to our real world history, myths and legends.

SF2 ODS Aircraft and Screen Upgrade Pack 2018
Menrva replied to Viper63a's topic in File Announcements
Wow, thanks for this updated package, Viper! I must apologise because by mistake I rated the file with 4-stars instead of 5. Anyway, I hope I'll manage to find some free time in the coming month to try it and play SF2 again. I must resume modding as well, for the ODS - Iran/Iraq war terrain. -
I'd say most terrorists claim to be/are muslim, but otherwise there have been other terror attacks with different backgrounds (people seem to forget what happened in Norway years ago, where many died in the hands of a single psycho). Moreover, we (correctly) define these acts as terror attacks, but what about the shootings that usually happen in the US of A? If the suspect is not a muslim, then it is not a terrorist attack, according to the news. Something is very wrong; I thought that anything that involves innocent deaths, mayhem and destruction has to be defined a terror attack, but it doesn't seem to be the case it the bastards are from a certain background. I'd avoid jokes if I were you, many have died in this cruel terror attack, and many children are fighting for their lives, and hell knows if their parents are still alive or injured or worse. My condolences to the victims' families.

Alternate TFD Terrain Tilemap editor/viewer
Menrva replied to gerwin's topic in Mods & Skinning Discussion
Nope, you can see how they are placed on each tile, though, as shown in the screenshot above. It's very useful already. -
It works, Typhoid. Try using the latest version of 7-Zip or WinRAR.

After the match result, this BBC Sport article is even more funny: http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36629201

Iceland 2 - England 1, LOL!

Yep, that is what happens to me too. But now RL kicked in and I can't resume work on my Iran/Iraq terrain. I really want to release it this year, but at the same time I don't want to rush it.

I said "some people". I know there have been others like you who have voted with more precise ideals in mind.

I did, and of course I know it has nothing to do with the EU membership. I was just wondering why the UK is not leaving NATO too; a British general, don't remember his name, once mentioned that he would like to see a NATO-free Great Britain. That's what I don't understand, some people voted "leave" because they want to make Great Britain great again (does it ring any bells? Trump anyone?). It feels like some political parties want to return to 1900 or worse, when we "civilised" Europeans believed to be the superior race that had the right to tear apart Africa, the Americas and the Middle East, for natural resources and other "duties". Today's world is different, it's globalized. Some think it's good, some think it's not, but this is the situation. I can't even think of my country alone as a competitor to giants like China, India, Russia, and many others. Maybe the UK will make it, maybe not. It's their choice. I am only wishing that their choice won't have tragic consequences for other European countries.

Just to reassure you, FRPignon, the M5S is not so populist. I can tell you 'cause I am Italian, and there is a worse populist party, thank God not that big yet. At least in Italy, things are not looking so bad in this regard, and its rather strange I might add, considering my country's past.

Thanks as always for keeping your packages up to date, viper63a. If only I had more free time to restart modding and playing SF2...

Me too, it's a sick world the one we all live in. Back to the topic, while I am disappointed a little for the outcome of this referendum, we must accept its results. Only the future can tell what will happen. I like seeing some jokes about the British now, but then I realise that most likely worse things may happen elsewhere. It's already scary that a guy like Trump made it this far, so as the Brits disappointed me (and not that much, the "leave" won by a narrow margin), I am scared shitless that there is an increase of aggressive nationalism in the US of A and other parts of Europe, or what's left of it. I admit that representative democracy it's failing, due to the low quality politicians we have elected over the years. Then, when you give full, direct democracy to the people (who are obviously much more ignorant in matters of policies, otherwise we all would be politicians), the risk of seeing a new Mussolini or Hitler is not that far. I am generally speaking, I am not referring to the UK. Let's hope that your plan works, because there is no certainty in politics, and having voted for A, and then receiving B or even C as a result, would be a failure. As I said before the vote, I wish the UK the best, I don't care if "leave" won instead of "remain". I just hope that your votes are going to give you the results you expect over the years.

I think I went a little off-topic the post before, so just to stay on track, I have a question; what do you think will happen to Gibraltar? I mean, IIRC 95% voted to stay, they are not going to enjoy this shift of policies anytime soon. I heard that Spain has already requested a joint rule of it.

I am from one of the countries on "very shaky ground", so I don't need to stop, to wonder the reasons. On top of that, I don't blame the EU if the people in my country are eating shit, I blame the politicians we have elected for countless years, and who have done nothing to reform my country (needless to say, they did nothing in the EU parliament). I have the habit to clean dirty clothes at home, if you know what I mean. We have to admit whose mistakes are. Some big mistakes were made by the EU, some by our own governments. Moreover, you are mentioning banks; that should be UK's last concern; the UK doesn't have Euro, we others do, though. But, feel free to enjoy the "independence". The UK is naive if it thinks that it can compete with China, India, and so on. I just want to add that I am waiting for the UK to leave NATO. You are leaving it, aren't you? I guess not, no wonder why. Ah, and anyway, I am just suggesting to wash the flag instead of burning it, because the EU flag has now lost, betrayed its original meaning. Burning is always something violent, and I condemn violence, in any form. Washing a flag would have more meaning, IMHO. Call me liberal (and I am NOT), I simply call it being respectful. EDIT: just noticed you're from Ireland. Anyway, that "you" before the edit was referred to the UK only.
-
That is exactly what I hate to see. If he really had to do something to the EU flag, he should have washed it, not burnt it. That flag once symbolized unity and peace. Nowadays the EU is/might be something else, but that gives no right to burn the flag that was brought to light at a cost of two world conflicts.
-
Hey, no need to apologise if you disagree. Besides, the world would be boring if everyone thinks the same. It's your country then, not mine, so you know and see things that foreigners can't. All I can say is that I hope things get better for the UK, one way or another. Wish you a nice independence day then, however you guys may vote.
-
I hate the current EU too, but I am not that sure that leaving would be the solution, and it could mean severe consequences both for the UK and the rest of Europe. I thought that to change the EU from the horrible thing it is now, one should fight in it, not to flee from it. Anyway, if you want a symbolic gesture, don't burn the flag, wash it.

Hmm, I was wondering... Does the pilot model use .tga textures or .dds textures?

3D Objects causing Game Crash when Spawning
Menrva replied to Piecemeal's topic in Mods & Skinning Discussion
That's interesting. I do experience numerous CTD in my huge mod folder. It seems you finally managed to track down some of the culprits. My first guess is that there must be something wrong or missing in the _DATA.ini of said ground objects. -

Congratulations, this thread was meant to share our condolences to the family victims, but you guys yet managed to turn it into another political debate. Since you suggest Islam is the problem, what is the solution? To wipe out 1.7 billion people from our planet right away? Seems rather difficult. Why do I bother replying anyway? Bah! Atreides, since when the US of A doesn't kiss Saudi Arabia? We all know the rich families in the Middle East are financing terrorists, but at the same time they are our "allies" because we buy oil from them.
