    9. VF-871 RCN Sqn for the Sea Fury

      VF-871 RCN Squadron for the Hawker Sea Fury FB.11/Mk.50
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      History:
      ~~~~~~~~

      The RCN equipped Nos 803 and 883 Squadrons (later designated VF-870 and VF-871) with the Hawker SEA FURY. these squadrons flew 75 Sea Furies from February, 1948 to April, 1957 operating from both HMCS Magnificent and its replacement, HMCS Bonaventure. One of the Sea Fury's acquired was a Mk.10 while the other 74 were F.B. Mk.11s. These were both single seat fighters and fighter-bombers, and were similar except that the Mk 11s were equipped to carry the 100/1,000 pound jettisonable wing bomb carriers. The outer portions of the wings of both models could be folded upwards hydraulically to facilitate stowage below decks on an aircraft carrier.

      Installation:
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      You must first have the SeaFury_v1 bt Simon Porter in order to install these skins.
      Unzip to your /Objects/Aircraft/SeaFury folder.
      Go fly
      *I have also included RCN themed Loading and Hangar screens. backup your originals just in case you don't like mine. Thanks to RCAF.com and Airliners.net for the images and information.
      Credits:
      ~~~~~~~~
      I would like to thank Simon Porter for all the hard work he put into creating the Sea Fury. Thanks to Saguanay for reference material and also to David Hanvey and Paul Barry who created a wonderful FS 2004 model of the Sea Fury which I used as reference.
      Have fun!

    12. F4U-1C Skin and Ini Upgrade Pak

      F4U-1C "Corsair" modification for SF/WoV/WoE WW2 PTO installs

      This package is a simple mod to the existing F4U-1C created by Wolf257. It includes mods to the data, loadout and cockpit ini. There is also a new skin, representing VMF-311 in late 1944 to the end of the war time frame. And a few other bits and goodies.

      The loadout has been modified from the original, as I've discoverd the -1Cs only used the inboard rocket rails. Also, I've changed the centerline station's drop tank type to use Geo's from his Hellcat. It's much closer to the actual shape and size. -- so you MUST have the latest weapons pak, and/or Geo's Hellcat installed to make use of his tank!!!! (it also makes real good sense to have Wolf's WW2 planes pak installed, to have the -1C Corsair, as well)

      Please read the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions, plus notes, comments and general mayhem.

    13. 488 Sqdn RNZAF Hurricane IIB

      488 Squadron, RNZAF, Hurricane IIB Skin, for SF/WoV/WoE PTO installs ONLY

      New skin for the Dev A-Team's Hawker Hurrican IIB.

      This is just a little something I've had laying around for a lloooong time, and never got around to finishing. After looking at the skin bmp itself, I decieded to re-do the entire thing. So, you've got new panel & rivet lines, new scuffing and wear, and I tried to get some 'dirt' along the underside.

      Speaking of the number decals, I don't know exactly (other than BM899) if these aircraft were actually used in the defense of Singapore, and during the retreat to Sumatra. I've also given you 12 serial numbers, although historically, only 9 Hurricanes were assigned to 488, before they were either destroyed by enemy action, or by their crews to prevent capture

      Just something for use in those early, dark days of WW2 in the Pacific....

      Please see the enclosed readme for more information and Install instructions

      Happy Landings!

    24. N1K2-J 'George' Skins & Ini Update Pak

      N1K2-J 'George" Update For SF/WoV/WoE WW2: PTO installs

      This is an update to Wolf257's N1K2-J "George" IJN fighter.

      As stated, this mod, consisting of 2 new skins, data and loadout ini mods is designed to update things to the most current standard. Weapons loadouts have been adjusted for "Imperial Japan" usage, lights have been repositioned, and some tweeks to the data ini, mostly in hardpoints, loadings and an enhanced AI section added, along with switching over to 'metric' readouts for those that play with the info sections visible in the lower left corner.

      The first skin represents 343 Kokoutai - all 3 Squadrons-, Genda's "Squadron of Experts", in the Home Defense role circa early 1945-to the end of the war. I've redrawn all the panel lines, added my 'interperative' rivet lines (meaning no claims to accuracy are made!), worn and dirtied it up some. Individual aircraft numbers are 'best guess' based on a few profiles, and some info I've gathered on IJN numbering sequences. Therefore, 100% accuracy is NOT claimed for these as well.

      Skin #2, ie "IJN2" represents aircraft from the Yokosuka Air Group (couldn't find the number), and is very heavily weathered. (my first attempt at the 'peeled paint', so be kind! - I DO have some ideas on how to improve it.)

      Included also is a repainted bmp for the Zeke cockpit (as it's used on the George), that 'hides'' the MG breeches, kinda.
      I've even enclosed my George hangar and loading screens, for those that don't already have them. They're the same ones, so if you've got them already...no biggie (just so's ya know), and the damaged tga for the shot-up look.

      The screenshot above, is the 343 Kokutai skin.

      ==REMEMBER: YOU MUST HAVE THE LATEST WEAPONS PAK INSTALLED TO GET THE WW2 WEAPONS!!==

      PLEASE read the enclosed readme for full, detailed install instructions, plus various notes, commentaries and general mental wanderings....

    25. Ki-21 "Sally" Skins and Ini Update Pak

      Mitsubishi Ki-21 "Sally" Skin & Ini update package for SF/WoV/WoE WW2: PTO installs

      This little package will upgrade Wolf's IJAAF bomber to fit more with current standards of loads, lights.

      It includes 2 skins, the first for 12 Sentai as seen in Southeast Asia (Thailand) circa 1943, and the second for 98 Sentai, Phillipine Islands, for most of the war.. The skins have newly redrawn panel lines, 'interperative' rivets added (meaning I claim no historical accuracy for their placement), simulated fabric surfaces, simulated fuselage windows, plus general dirt and weathering added.

      This package contains tweeked data ini that corrects some loadout diffuculties (not being able to carry the full bomb load), and adjusted running lights. Also included is a 'new' wav file for the engines.

      Remembe, you must have the latest weapons pak to get the WW2 bombs and guns and stuff!!!

      Please read the enclosed readme for full, easy-to-follow install instructions and other stuff.

      Enjoy!
